  1. Yeah, kid is just clout chasing. Physically Cam could snap him in half, and in regards to accomplishments, Cam is one of few people in the history of football EVER, who have won a national championship, won a Heisman, won an NFL MVP, and led their team to a Super Bowl. That is GOAT-level accomplishments among a demographic that is already only comprised of the top 1% or so of athletes in the world. So, how stupid do you look, a HS kid at a 7 on 7 tournament clowning THAT guy who has accomplished all of that AND is selflessly dedicating his time and resources to bettering others at said event? For what? So you can get a few likes and follows on your way to your scholarship to a lower tier D-1 school (if you're lucky) where your football career will then end when you graduate before starting your career at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. As the great philosopher Kendrick Lamar once said, "be humble." fuging slapdick kids, man... Cam was much more gracious and considerate of the kid's feelings than I would have been if I was in his shoes.
  2. Yeah, a lot of the overreaction was due to how the team had historically been ran and a legacy of bad moves before Kupchack got here. I always liked Terry, and told many of my friends I would like to sign him from Boston after he had that huge playoff run, but I definitely didnt want him at the price we signed him at the time. I acknowledge when I'm wrong. He is definitely worth what he's getting paid and then some. To me, Terry, Miles, and Melo are my core moving forward. I've said it elsewhere, but Terry is like a slightly shorter, much better shooting DWade. He is an absolute dog.
  3. Via PanthersInsider on IG. Also, not sure his account was always private (I don't believe it was), but it is now.
  4. NGL, if we go into next season with Bridgewater as our starting QB, I can guarantee you it will be the least engaged I have ever been as a fan of our team. I definitely will not set aside every Sunday for our games knowing it will just piss me off to no end because of ONE PLAYER. I have a feeling I'm not alone in that, so if we don't get Watson or Russ, they better hope we land Fields or Lance. I'm taking the same approach if we draft Mac's fat ass too. I've had enough mediocrity between Rivera and Bridgewater over the last 10 years.
  5. Saying he was "just so bad," was admittedly cheap on words, but the reasons you offer are what I was referring to with "bad," I just have expounded on it so much I am tired of talking about it lol. But yeah, I agree for the most part... I will say that despite watching him since college, his arm strength actually appeared worse than what I remembered it being prior to the injury. That being said, I agree that his biggest issue is his disposition despite his physical limitations, and that's what makes it so hard to digest watching it live.
  6. As I told to some of my non-Panther-fan friends, we've had a LOT of bad QBs throughout our history, but Teddy was by far the most frustrating one I had ever remembered watching. He was just so bad... And no doubt, I'm sure despite the personal relationship, Brady regrets putting his name behind him because this offense would've put up video game-like numbers had we had a QB who could actually improvise AND hit the deep throws that were available all season long.
  7. Even back when the league was run heavy, look at how many teams won whose RB ate one of the top 3 salaries of their cap space... For as long as I can remember the teams that win it have a budget back and/or run by committee. I love CMC, and yes, he is more than just a RB, but he is primarily a RB, and that cannot be the player you build an offense around, period. Teddy had 3 receivers eclipse 1k total yards this year, and that still wasn't enough for our offense to win, because those players had to do it themselves. 9 times out of 10, if your best player on offense isn't your QB, you're not going to win a Superbowl. Period. So, if it takes CMC to get Watson, so be it.
  8. I wonder if we're committing to this option this early, if this has any bearing on Samuel's situation?
  9. While you may be right, I have to add a caveat... Teddy kind of deserves it based off of his resume and performance last year. Cam, if I'm a player, is the one that bothers me, because he should've gotten to play out that last year on his contract here at the very least considering his history, experience, resume, and stature within Panthers' history.
  10. Posted awhile back about trading for/signing him... I hope Fitterer can work some magic at a good price. Would be the perfect vet to come in and mentor the young guys and still produce at s high level, but I'm sure he's gonna be signing with Pittsburgh.
  11. Yeah, as far as the big two, Zack pretty much told us this would be how it went down. Sucks to lose Samuel because I really feel like he is coming into his own and may really fully blossom at his next stop. I'm still holding onto hope that we may be able to still sign him back, but I know the odds are slim.
  12. *Before clicking on thread* "PLEASE DON'T BE US, PLEASE DON'T BE US, PLEASE DON'T BE US, PLEASE DON'T BE US..."
  13. We'll prolly keep the torch this year after the Teddy situation is resolved lol.
  14. Yup. And although we were getting similarly disadvantaged in SB50, a lot of these early calls actually reminded me of how the NFL jobbed us in the playoffs back in 2013 against the Niners, because the calls aimed at completely taking away our physicality so the Niners could have their way with us. I think there was a bad personal foul call on Mitchell early, some ticky-tack def holding calls, and then I remember one of the Niners took a cheap shot and one of our guys went to confront them and Boldin instigated the whole thing and they didn't throw a flag until our guy retaliated... from that point on, we played passive. That's what happened last night. As you said, it's not just taking away one team's ability to be physical, it's taking away their ability to compete altogether in a very physical sport. And coaches can yell all day, "keep playing, we can't control the refs" but when the penalties are 9 to 1 against you and of the nature they were last night, meanwhile Brady's taunting Mathieu and Mathieu's gets flagged, they're getting 2nd and 3rd chances to score off of penalties, and on defense they aren't just holding but completely piggyback riding your receivers before the ball even gets there, it gets pretty demoralizing... as a player, there's no way you feel you can play with the same intensity, because you know you're going to get called for it and your effort won't matter. It really is pathetic.
  15. Yup. Absolute piece of poo. The emphasis on image rather than it being about the game has resulted in a complete undercutting of any credibility the league ever had. From the destruction of the Spygate tapes, the handling of the Ray Rice situation, the blatantly bad officiating in big games, and all the other garbage that has shown Goodell has no moral compass and cares only about the bottom line, it just makes it hard to enjoy many games of consequence anymore.
  16. Well, it was obvious. The NFL goes with the best/most interest-drumming storylines. And the way they influence games is by neutering one team early to where they become more passive and fall behind. When you let one team play with maximum physicality and tell the other they can't, it makes for a dramatically different game, and one in which the team that isn't favored falls behind and and has little hope of getting back in it. It was really sad to see how this game played out tonight, but the NFL had their yes men do what they wanted done early, and that was enough. The NFL is a crooked, disgusting, absolute poo organization.
  17. Those early calls changed the whole complexion of the game. It's entirely possible that the Bucs would still dominate or win without the refs influence, but the officiating definitely set the tone that KC had one set of rules and the Bucs have another. The officiating has reminded me so much of how rigged SB50 was.
  18. Yup, so reminiscent of SB50. The calls are so lopsided and the refs going out of their way to make sure KC can't match Bucs physicality. It completely changes the game and how it's played for each team.
  19. I'm pulling for Remmers, and this isn't just on the line, but some of these plays KC may as well just line up 3 offensive linemen lol.
  20. Man, the matchups with the tackles are really tough for KC.
