  1. Interesting to see where we go. I think we used up all the clock trying to trade back and couldn't find a partner..
  2. Wow. Was hoping we had our choice between Fields and Sewell. I'm guessing we trade back now for Slater or Horn.
  3. Gotta think MIA takes Sewell. I just don't see who else it could be.
  4. One thing is for sure... if the first commercial break was at pick 5, the next one will be at #8.
  5. NGL, I jokingly said only thing they could do that would make me quit being a fan is trading for Bridgewater back... but, now that Mac is still on the board, I am scared shitless.
  6. Yup, I never believed they traded that much for Mac Jones. That would be insane. I have a feeling Mac is the guy who slides... Fields is coming off the board soon.
  7. This pick is what we've all been waiting on... it's what is really gonna shape this top 10.
  8. I always love your posts and shared intel, Verge, and trust it 100%. I do think one of those teams, especially the Niners are blowing smoke though. I think the top 10 picks or so hinge on that Mac Jones pick and where Fields goes...
  9. Yeah, I mean, we'll see what happens. Like I said, I'm not panicking or raging over what's done lol. I know we are getting a potentially great player at a position of need regardless of how it shakes out, but I feel a potential franchise QB or LT is a bigger get/need for us than a lockdown CB or Receiving TE. That being said, I wouldn't be mad with Horn one bit.
  10. I think its just due diligence. I think the odds are a lot higher that we trade back. Fit said we would be in on every deal, so I assume it's just to gauge cost. That being said, to everyone arguing with me about hat Washington loss... imagine trading up now.
  11. If it works that way, fantastic. But, going from the 4th pick to 8th pick left us at the mercy of a lot more teams and their predilections.
  12. I didnt expect pros to go out there and half ass it. Nor did I expect Rhule to pull a Pederson, but you can affect outcomes without expecting less of your roster. And as I said elsewhere, if we start Grier there and he wins it, that is a lot more palatable than what happened. And again, I'm not panicking or sounding the alarms that due to it there is impending doom. I simply said the win was more costly than it was beneficial, and our division rivals could benefit more from it. I also said this is where Rhule has to prove he is the coach he contends he is. No panic. Just an observation. And look, I didnt mind the pacifier insult. I let it slide. But you assuming I'm not potty trained because of my pacifier use is just outright disrespectful.
  13. I never said it was something you said lol. Nor am I panicking. Although you seem a bit anxious lol. I just said that's what huddlers have said for years and the chickens have yet to come home to roost. And if we took Mac Jones in the Top 10, we have bigger problems than the Saints moving ahead of us.
  14. I agree for the most part. Who knows? We could pick a generational player in the 3rd or 4th round. Maybe 6th. Which is why I say Rhule better be the coach he contends he is... because what it did cost us was leverage potential assets. That's all I'm saying. This isn't panic, this isn't whining... I was simply pointing out how costly that win was. That's all.
  15. Lol, okay. Thanks for the discussion. Enjoy the Falcons getting another franchise QB and the Saints stealing a franchise tackle from us because 5 wins compared to 4 separates the badasses from the pussies apparently. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go find my pacifier.
  16. Scrub nuts? Nice. An alternative would've been starting Grier. If he wins, that game is a lot more palatable and tolerable. Going there with a proven loser who just happened to avoid just enough of his usual horrible mistakes to win a game that only hurt us cost us far more than we gained.
  17. No it wasn't recency bias... I dont think we were mathematically eliminated against the Lions, and there was hope because PJ looked better. The Washington win was absolutely pointless all the way around. It was the latest win in the season where the outcome of the season as already cemented. I'm not sure where you're trying to go with this argument? If you want to argue we shoundt have beat the Lions instead of Washington, have at it. But, the season was over when we played Washington, against our former coach, and Rhule, as much as I like him so far, trotted Bridgewater out there who was hot garbage but just good enough to beat our former mediocre coach and his unprepared football team.
  18. Yes, because we still were in contention at that point and Teddy hadn't shown how horribly inept he was at that point. At Washington, the season was over, qe were out of contention, most everyone was already over Teddy and ready to move on, and we literally had nothing to gain by winning that.
  19. I doubt Jimmy G nets a first rounder at this point.
  20. Oops, well, my board for us remains the same... but I definitely think Atlanta is going Lance or Fields and that will thoroughly piss me off.
  21. While I'd love to get him, I could stomach 3 first rounders for Watson pre-legal issues because of his age. I guarantee the Packers aren't even listening to any offers, let alone any with less than 3 first round picks. No way I'd give that much up for a guy in his mid-30s who seems to be growing further and further away from football.
  22. But he will. Jump pass incoming.
