  1. Respecrfully, Zod is correct. We literally lost 8 games on the last drive with a chance to tie or win, mostly due to incompetent QB play. It probably all wasn't on Teddy, as Brady was new to his role as well, but most of it was... and a lot of the reason those games came down to that last drive were missed opportunities earlier in the game due to Teddy's conservative style... if Darnold doesn't move the needle in any other way except for being willing to throw the ball downfield and not making mistakes in the redzone, this team will be a 9 win team, EASY.
  2. Honestly, anyone who has played any Madden over the last 2 or 3 years already knows... we could've had Cam back coming off his otherworldly MVP season, Smitty in his prime, Pep in his prime, Luke, Reggie White in his prime, and they still would've had us in the bottom third of their rankings. It had been so frustrating for Panther fans and their ratings over the last few years. We get absolutely no respect. Also, their dev team makes has no problem flaunting their personal fandom at every turn... their office is in Tampa, so they have tons of Bucs fans, but weirdly enough, they also have someone there who absolutely loves the Falcons, because they get plenty of love as well. Last year, all year, it was Raiders, Niners, Bucs, WFT, Atlanta, and weirdly enough, Seattle who got all the love. On Ultimate Team, Cam never even got a Flashback or anything and they had DJ Moore as a 80 on a scale of 1-99 all year until after the new year. That game has went so far downhill since they obtained the exclusive rights license... the lack of respect for our teams year in and year out just makes it that much worse. And to show you a sign of things to come for 22... Ultimate Team has Brian Burns as an 87. Not bad right? Well, Jeremy Chinn is an 80 ovr. Remember how I said WFT was one of their favorites? Chase Young is a fuging 86... He didnt even deserve ROY, yet there is a 6 point gap between him and Chinn, and Burns is only 1 better? GTFOH.
  3. Ahh yes, and while that route was developing on any given play last year, 9 times out of 10, Teddy was never looking at it and instead hitting the flat route for a 2 yard gain.
  4. I didnt think I was alone in that assessment from what we saw from him his first two years when he filled in. IIRC, he started both LT and LG and did really well, and I think I looked up his PFF grade last season and it stacked up well against the other guys we had... he looked impressive and at the very least was able to hold his own, he just couldn't stay healthy. But, I wouldn't be mad if Moore really blows everyone away and becomes Norwell 2.0 either, but I haven't heard much about him from camp so far.
  5. I projected Daley as the LG starter bc he is a REALLY good player, and he has shown it when he has been healthy... but, staying healthy has been the problem. I'm not sure if Elflein has experience at RG, but I'd try to play him there, as I think that's the most talented combo at guard. Moton on the left, BC on the right, and Paradis at center. At least, that's how I hope it turns out.
  6. No worries. I'd almost put money on it that Sean Payton signs him later this week.
  7. Moton-Daley/Elflein-Paradis-Moore/Elflein-Christensen
  8. Welp, Terrace is taking his job, quickly. Also, as a guy who was vocal about my lack of belief in Darnold, these passes have definitely increased my confidence in him by leaps and bounds. I know it's practice, but again, we didn't see any throws this deep or accurate all of last season. It's refreshing, and encouraging.
  9. Mitch knocked it out of the park in this draft. Love the selections and maneuvering. And if we make the playoffs for the next 4 seasons, we won't even miss that first... It's lottery protected all the way through. Genius.
  10. I came around on this move. Mitch was next level all day yesterday. That draft cemented the turnaround. Plumlee, to his credit, had a really good season last year and made some impressive plays, and he has always by far been the best among those brothers... I just didn't like adding salary when taking on a big who still can't space the floor or do much on the perimeter defensively, but he is indeed much better than the centers we've played for the last few years. He is efficient at what he does, and if we can somehow get Kai as the starter sooner than later and Plumlee coming in as the backup, this was incredible.
  11. Uggggh... We needed a NBA big, not a Plumtree. Smh...
  12. Teddy aint making that throw. That was beautiful.
  13. Another Gettleman Gem who couldn't even be salvaged by Gettleman himself. Oh well, enjoy your burgers, KB!
  14. Idk, good for PR, I guess... but. I'll never forget reading an article way back, I think when Melo was barely in HS and the focus was on London, and Lamar said something like Gelo wasn't a ball player, he was gonna be a model or something like that. If your own father says that publicly, then either he was trying to motivate him with reverse psychology or he legit thought he wasn't as good as his brothers, and that quote always stuck with me. Then again, he ended up getting to UCLA after that, so he has to be able to play a little bit, right? I'm not expecting much, but cool story.
  15. I am really excited about Marshall. Loved him in college, and he just has big play written all over him... just as I felt Chinn was the steal of the draft last year, Marshall may be the steal of the draft this year when it all pans out. He won't start as a rookie, but he'll have the chance to make plenty of huge plays. And also, despite my hesitancy on Darnold, knowing he has Robby, DJ, and Terrace as his 1-3 with Brady calling the plays only gives me confidence that he HAS to be better than what we saw in NY.
  16. Until we can start consistently beating them again, i don't give a poo. The last few years, they could trot out 7 players and still beat our ass with their hands tied behind their back, unless of course the outcome would have us draft in a worse position.
  17. The thing that keeps popping up in my mental when it comes to this stuff is the discussion the ESPN draft guys had during the draft broadcast when discussing Darnold... especially Louis Riddick, whose takes and opinions I respect. He said flat out, he did not think Darnold was broken despite everything that happened in NY, and he said he felt that Darnold had plenty of reason to be broken with how dysfunctional that organization has been while he was there. He said he believed in him and that he could turn it around, and basically, that he didn't believe he was damaged or irreparable from his time in NY. So, my belief is, if, despite all the things wrong during his tenure there, he still is intact mentally and emotionally, then I'm not worried in the least bit about how a loss will affect him moving forward. My concerns about him are strictly football related. Can he read a defense? Can he make the throws? Can he make the plays needed to lead a team to wins? Those are the things he didn't really demonstrate his first few years in the league despite a concensus that he has all of the tools... I will say though, that the way he has embraced the fresh start and the way the organization has embraced him has softened my stance on him and makes me lean into believing that he may actually turn it around here.
  18. I was just looking for a cheaper alternative with super high upside still on a low risk move... on the obvious, higher end of the equation, I'm eyeing Porzingis, Myles Turner, and John Collins in no particular order.
  19. I feel like he would be the perfect complement to LaMelo... a modern day big with a versatile game, can handle, can stretch the floor, can run the floor, can work in the post, would be ideal in the pick and roll with his dive potential, and still could change the game with his length and athleticism on defense. I don't know how much Denver values him, but he hardly gets any burn despite flashing huge potential and putting up numbers when he's been given the minutes. I think this is the perfect move we could make to address our big problems... then sign Cousins. What say you?
  20. Which was BS and it ruined our season. I truly believe if Miles hadn't been held out for that bullshit, we would've kept that momentum and at least won our first round playoff. Yet, we've now seen CP3 and LeBron get cleared out of it in a matter of days. So, now this makes me even more pissed bc it suggests he was held out for contact tracing originally.
  21. I'm guessing it's not a voluntary retirement? Mick wasn't as bad as people made him out to be, but he wasn't as good as what we had either. I think he fit an aesthetic Jerry was looking for - down home, wholesome, country, folksy, etc. I could tell from that first interview he did with Tepper that preseason once he bought the team that he wasn't going to be around much longer. It would be cool to bring Bill back.
  22. I thought Svech was on his way to being a superstar a year or two ago, but watching him closer this playoffs, correct me if I'm wrong, but he just doesn't have "it." He has the moves, the dangles, the puck handling, but he doesn't have the final piece... he has missed so many wide open nets.
  23. Yeah, I love seeing this stuff, but I have to wonder how that agent feels about this being shown and how it makes him look publicly?
  24. Starting to mishandle the puck a bit more now. We look better with them at full strength than on the power play lol.
