  1. Wow. So sad... She was a really heavy presence here in the early days. I'd venture to say one of the most active posters here. Miss those days... RIP Cosmo Girl. Prayers for her loved ones.
  2. Yuck. Sorry, I appreciate Rhule showing him love, but he does not look like an NFL receiver at all. No explosiveness or suddenness, not very big, and zero YAC ability. So many of those clips have him tripping over himself after the catch or immediately running out of bounds. I was hoping to see some Welker to him from the description, but idc what Welker's measurables were, he was super quick and shifty on the field with surprising speed. Saunders is not.
  3. I liked the pick, despite his age and BYU's doodoo comp, because his athletic measurables were some of the highest from an OL measured relative to his position, which fell in line with pretty much all of our picks. Pairing that draft profile along with his experience and history as a starter there and the year they had, despite the obvious issues with it being BYU, I was excited for his potential. All that being said, as we have seen time and again, athleticism doesn't make you a great football player and competition matters - respectively, neither determine success or failure alone, but they do matter. The fact they didn't give him a single look with first team today tells me it's likely at best he ends up a solid backup. He could be a late bloomer,, but being a 24 year old rookie,, I doubt it. Very disappointing, but still hope he is just taking a while to get adjusted.
  4. I know a lot of people have been ready to ship Robby off since we got Terrace, but I really like and appreciate Robby. I hope we're able to sign DJ to his extension and get Robby back too, at least to a deal that would keep him around until Terrace is ready for an extension. Also, he is Florida through and through.
  5. Also, in regards to that throw from Sam to Robby... after last year, I will never again take for granted a QB who is able to overthrow his receiver and let them run under it.
  6. Well, due to the Panthers' media rules, that shot was taken from the parking lot with a hubble scope attachment.
  7. Looking forward to an informative tweet every 10 minutes. Thanks, Panthers Media and PR!
  8. Bouknight reminds me a bit of Jamal Crawford and a little James Harden. He has been incredible to watch - great control, feel, and athleticism. Kai Jones is gonna be a great addition to this team. His athleticism and energy alone could have him average a double-double as a rookie if he gets the minutes. He's even bringing the ball up... his game is just so versatile. And its only gonna get better... I love it. I'm gonna call it right now, they are the two biggest steals and values of the draft. Lewis is a great athlete and could be a chippy, "playing on the edge" defender to get under opponents' skin. We may need to sign Gelo. While I think his athleticism is subpar, that is an absolutely beautiful stroke. Riller has been vastly disappointing. I watched him in college and loved the pick where we got him bc of how impressed I was with his game... he just looks hurried and not looking for his own offense at all. If this is how he plays the entire SL, I think he played himself out of a roster spot here. I have been REALLY impressed by Richards. He had a few flubs, but overall he had played really well. Between he and Carey, I thought Carey was the better of the two from what I saw of them in college and last season in limited opportunities. Now I don't know... Richards has looked better than Carey today. I'm surprised. Sneed sucks. I've liked Kulboka's game since we first saw him 3 years ago. This game just didn't play to his strengths, but I'm not discouraged... he's gonna be a good spot player for us. And finally, the Blazers should be embarrassed and should not even be allowed to play in the SL. Wtf??? Beasley, Faried, and Mudiay? That's like a combined 15+ years of NBA experience and all 1st round picks. That's complete trash.
  9. He's the real deal. So smooth and in control. Hadnt watched a lot of him before we drafted him, but my initial impression is, he reminds me a bit of Jamal Crawford. He may even be a better playmaker.
  10. TBH, this is the least news and information we have ever gotten from a training camp. Idk if it's Rhule, but there's never been such little information coming out of camp since the Huddle has been around that I can recall. TC threads day to day would be 10 pages minimum. Combine that with the underwhelming Fan Fest, fans being kept at a distance at TC, and I have to guess Rhule is wanting to limit what is being reported.
  11. It's not indicative of how good or bad this group is... it's a statement on how bad our OLs have historically been. This group does have potential though...
  12. I like McDaniels. I really think he deserves more minutes. The remaining Martin isn't bad, and I like some of the edge he brings, but I think ideally he is a bottom of the roster guy... Richard's, ehhh, sorry, but I don't see very much there - so he is who I would let walk. Also, I'd be very willing to move PJ for the right price.
  13. I think a quarter to a half each game. I prefer a half, but after seeing how Rhule has handled TC and Fan Fest this year with an overabundance of caution, I doubt he gets anywhere close to that. He needs live reps, and so does our OL. I dont think the OL is as bad as many think they'll be... if it means anything, I think this OL has a chance to be one of our best.
  14. I like the jersey selection of Gross, combined with the authentic football short pants that he somehow morphed into capris.
  15. Well put. I have been noticing that same phenomenon for quite awhile as well, and despite all of the stats he has put up and the names he is alongside or surpassed in doing so (like last year's stat about him having the most yards over the last 2 years only behind Hopkins, or the most contested catches, etc.), the rest of the NFL fans don't even acknowledge him. And this has all been with mediocre QB play (and for the record, Cam was never mediocre, just injured those last couple of seasons. Referring mostly to Kyle and Teddy).
  16. Great write up, and to your last point about DJ - ABSOLUTELY. All I know is, DJ must've impregnated one of the EA Dev's wives at some point, bc they hate his guts.
  17. Well, I fell asleep early and missed Fan Fest and the gold medal game for USA Basketball. Woke up to find out, I didnt miss anything. What a disappointment.
  18. Ohhhh, whew... Thank God. I almost had to get on the red phone.
  19. Well, my preferred scenario was always to keep Cam, so I'm with you.
  20. Fields was my #1, but Horn was right there with him, but I figured we wouldn't have a shot at Fields when we picked anyway, so that made it a difficult decision for me once we were on the clock. That being said, what if Horn becomes the best shutdown CB in the league, regardless of what Fields does? I didn't believe in Darnold at all since college, and my opinion won't change much until we see production and change in real games, but if he ends up a Top 15 QB (which I don't believe he will until he proves me otherwise) we may have hit a homerun. I still prefer dual threat QBs, but I'm hoping for the best... and I will say, this staff has shown me enough that if Darnold bombs, they won't hesitate to do whatever it takes to right their wrongs there, so that is encouraging.
  21. Wait what???? They nixed the cajun filet in favor of a new sandwich??? The world must really be coming to end. What a dumbass idea. What is the difference with the new one?
