  1. Yeesh, Sam looked like the Jets Sam those 2 out of 3 last passes. And I've had enough of these 35-40 yard punts. Charlton has really taken a step back since preseason. At 4th and 2 on their side of the 50, you have to go for that. Now, we shouldn't have had to punt if Darnold would've hit CMC on 3rd down.
  2. We haven't started this good against the Saints in like at least 5 years.
  3. Great calls by Brady, great throws by Sam. Incredible. THAT'S WTF I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!
  4. Dammit! I kept thinking it was 1 game for some reason. Oh well... hope we still take care of business.
  5. Appreciate you! I've kept saying that historically they beat our ass, especially when they're down a lot of players with injuries, so I didnt want to get to excited about their current situation... but, this is setting up nicely for us to completely take advantage and get a leg up on them in the division and ride that momentum for the rest of the season.
  6. Yeah you could see the flashes of arm talent/anticipation when he was here, but I immediately wrote him off after he broke his elbow in half trying to brace himself falling on a routine tackle. He was just too small and frail. But, I'm not gonna lie, he looks DIFFERENT now. When I watched him in the playoff game against Tampa last season, he looked better, then last night, he was was even better than that. They said he added 10 lbs in the offseason, so he is much more sturdy, and he just looks the part now. NGL, he reminds me a bit of Jake, maybe slightly more mobile, and their career arcs are lining up pretty similarly to this point. I'm pulling for him. Was hoping WSH would still being in Cam, but I doubt it after last night.
  7. No, if I'm being 100% honest... And anyone can search it to verify it - I was one of the first and very few, if not only, people on here to vouch for Gano while Mare was here. I was also adamant I did not want Mare when we signed him... I followed and watched Gano since college and quite a bit with WSH, so I wanted us to go get him when he was available. And I loved him those first few years... but, he did the struggle the last year or so, and he had become inconsistent enough that I felt we should move on. He missed a enough clutch kicks that he didn't feel reliable anymore, and that season opener miss against Denver is 16 was the beginning of the end. It felt like time to move on. Slye looked like a young kicker with huge potential and an even bigger leg than Gano, so I was fine moving on. He just seemed broken. And he honestly had never been as consistent as he has been now with NY. No one could've predicted this. He was great at one point for us, but not like this. This is Vinatieri level good. It sucks. Kicker is a fickle position. I mentioned Mare, and funny enough, he was considered one of the league's best when he was with the Dolphins... by the time he got to us, he was absolutely horrible. Gano was struggling here, now he's amazing. Slye was struggling here, then goes out and makes every kick in his debut with the Texans. John Kasay was a 78% kicker with Seattle before we got him our inaugural season, and he ended up being a career 82% kicker with us. Kickers are hard to figure out... and the thing is, if we had just made the move to Butker, none of this would be an issue, no matter how Gano has done since. We just made every wrong move we could make at the position.
  8. I really, REALLY hope Moton can go and this is just precautionary. We need him out there every week... that being said, if he weren't able to play, Rhule can't use the conditioning crap as a reason to not play BC, and then once that toothpaste is out of the tube, there ain't no putting it back... so, hopefully we won't have to cross that bridge yet, but I'm looking for a silver lining.
  9. Agreed, I just wanted to find something negative and fake rage. I can't wait for Jaycee to get his first pick in a game.
  10. Haven't we been a middling to lower-end team in forced turnovers since then?
  11. It's fun looking back and seeing so many people who bashed me for being reactionary and emotional about how bad Gettleman was, now passionately admit just how bad he was. Dude is one of the biggest egomaniac the world of football has ever seen... possibly the world has ever seen. He always had to show everyone how alpha he was, how smart he was, how much of a boss he was... and he wasn't any of those things. Just a scared, flabby man desperately seeking out validation and recognition. And so many here defaulted to the "well, he's better than Hurney, because he's a 'football guy.'" Tuh! Should've stuck to being a P.E. coach. Also, Hurney sucked. But, Gettleman single-handedly set our franchise back 8-10 years with his little dick, ego-based moves. I will always despise his memory. I also bask in my prediction when the Giants hired him (which can be found on this board), that he was going to gut them of their core pieces like Beckham, and sure enough... L-O-L. He's imploding that organization as we speak, and should be unemployed shortly. Rightfully so. And as far as the tie, it just shows how dysfunctional our organization has always been. How tf the GM makes a decision like that and the coach allows it? And again, it's another powermonger, dickless move by Gettleman.. my goodness, that man was an absolute cancer.
  12. The NFL's clean up crew. Torbet, Hochuli (the younger one now), and Blakeman are their crews who love to screw us.
  13. Tbh, at some point these stats intersect, overlap, and make no sense whatsoever lol. Quinnen Williams was held to a low PFF grade, but we had the worst pass block win rate in the league. I can't credit Elflein, he looks bad. And I believe in Daley, but he didn't look great Sunday either. I honestly think we just schemed around the pressure and got the ball out as quick as possible which resulted in the negative grades for the Jets DL. Now, as far as their OL, they are actually really good. So, I think their poor performance was more because our DL and LBs were that good. Problem is, I think the Saints line is even better, so we have our work cut out for us. Brightside is, I feel like a lot of those sacks Wilson escaped from last week, Winston won't this week. Winston can move, but he's not elusive... if Burns or Reddick gets to him, he is going down.
  14. Good, because coincidentally enough, I noticed he was pretty limited on Sunday too. Glad the coaching staff is noticing.
  15. Ok, I've given him credit for player development and as an in-game tactician, but Rhule is starting to piss me off with this. Why can't we just get a coach who plays the best player? PERIOD. EVER. It's so frustrating. Anyone with an inkling of football knowledge knows the guys in front of him are not good at their job, and he was impressive in the preseason when he played. So, start him, and let Scott and the other versatile guy be the backups in case you need them. He did this same poo with starting Chris Reed's sorry ass all year last season. It just gets old...
