  1. I dont out a lot of stock in PFF, but just as I suggested after the loss, Erving and Miller have to go, and it just so happens they both graded out as our worst OLinemen. I think, just as with Whitehead last year, Rhule was giving them the chance to secure the job with the their play. They haven't, and now it's time to give the younger guys a chance, just as he did with Carter last season. I think we definitely see at least 1 of them benched this week and possibly both. There might be some early growing pains, but it can only go up from here.
  2. Luckily for us, I don't think most teams have as much versatility offensively as the Cowgirls do. Despite our slight size at various spots in the front 7, I'm not overly worried about it. I do expect to see more powers, traps, etc. though.
  3. Yeah, we have to bring him in. Period. From what I've watched of him over the last few years, he looks plenty fast and athletic still, so I can see them just moving on bc of him not being a Quinn guy, the contract, etc. It's not because of his physical capabilities.
  4. I kept noticing him during the game, but then looked when this thread popped up and saw he only had 1 tackle.
  5. Wow. Was excited about this pickup when we got him.... he clearly sucks or our staff does at evaluating OL.
  6. While I mostly agree, it was a perfect storm of many different variables that allowed that to happen yesterday too. It may be a testament to how good Dallas is, again, but, the was by far the worst tackling we had through 4 weeks. We were able to contain the run the first 3 weeks, in large part, because guys were taking the runner down on first contact, and if they didn't, they held up the runner long enough for the calvary to come clean him up. None of that was happening yesterday... The first 3 weeks we also were making contact either behind the LOS or within the first 4 yards... that wasn't happening yesterday either. To cite an old Foxism - we picked a bad day to have a bad day.
  7. You don't have to be any major to determine that's a very different statement than the one you purported I said. But, I make rash decisions and opinions. Ok.
  8. Was just watching their MTS podcast and they still seemed really impressed with Darnold and said Darnold to DJ is quickly becoming one of the best QB/WR duos in the league. They said "the Panthers will be fine," that we're not going away anytime soon, and they'll be talking about us all season. They really harped on that 3rd quarter. Overall, they seemed less down on us as a result of the game and more impressed with just how good Dallas is. They mentioned how they've featured our defense on their podcast multiple times and that we are for real - fast and aggressive, but Dallas was just that physical. (No mention of how getting turnovers negated and being allowed to hold every play enables you to be more physical, but who's counting?) Said Dallas attacked us intelligently, because anytime you face a really fast but slighter up front defense, you run into it. Bucky said they ran into the speed and thats how you negate it... so there's that. Anyway, two guys with pro scouting experience whose football opinions I greatly value, still believe in us.
  9. Reddick had a stinger, said he should be good to go for Philly.
  10. Yeah, Schultz was singlehandedly passing me off with that check and release garbage... and he got Franklin on it too.
  11. Welp, you were right and my assumptions were wrong... it was Shaq's foot, and apparently we are pretty banged up after yesterday.
  12. Where did I say I don't take him seriously? And you put that in quotes despite it not being stated? I simply said I was upset with the game he called and that he came up short in what I expected yesterday. Yes, that seems like a really "rash" and "dramatic," take. That tells me all I need to know about your "psycho evaluation" here.
  13. Whatever it was, he apparently was fully committed to it.
  14. See, I think he really was worried about subbing a 4th lineman in bc it limits the versatility of the looks and is one less guy you can drop into coverage. I really think he was convinced they were just going to go back to slinging it all over the field, so he stayed in the odd fronts hoping to make a big play off pressure and they never gave it to us... that's whats so frustrating. They made it pretty clear after a few of those big gaping runs that they were going to keep doing it until we stopped it. And I think they had no problem going run heavy after repose first few plays in their first two possessions where our pass rush got to Dak... after that, they decided they would neutralize the pass rush by just running. Everyone saw it, and we all felt that shift, and yet, our defense just kept running the odd fronts. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth...
  15. I have been singing his praises since about midway through last year. I've compared him to Jim Johnson and Dick LeBeau... but, now, it's time to acknowledge where he has fallen short. Yesterday was preventable and shouldn't have played out the way it did. The more I've thought back on the game, the more irritated I get that Snow just kept doing the same thing and getting the defense gashed all day. I know the Cowboys are a good team and I know they are well-balanced offensively, but Zeke hasn't ran like that in years. And yes, they were blatantly and egregiously holding virtually every play, and all of that had an effect on the game. I guess Snow was just trying to make sure we didn't give up a big pass, first and foremost, but it was at the expense of the defense getting ran through and over all day. I've lauded Snow for his ingenuity and creativeness as our DC. But, yesterday, there was none of that. It was very Fox and Rivera like, and I wish I knew the reason he stuck with it... it's just disappointing because I have actively tried to avoid listening to or watching any national shows because I already know the narrative they'll be spinning - how we got exposed, how we are pretenders, etc., and that's if they even acknowledge us. From what I saw last night, briefly, most of the highlights glossed over anything we did and just went on about how great the Cowboys were (also completely ignoring the Chinn fumble call). It sucks. It's not just that we lost, it's that our vaunted defense got dismantled while losing. Add to that that we'll be playing one of the weakest schedules over the next few weeks and I can't imagine anyone taking us seriously for quite awhile, no matter how well we play. I guess the silver lining is that we will most definitely now fly under the radar until we run into real competition again, giving us time to build some momentum until then. But man, I just really hate that we wasted an opportunity to get the respect this team deserves. Oh well, on to the next one.
  16. The faith quote is a meme/Twitter joke that has been remixed over and over again, especially in cases like this. It's parodying the "apology" from that Fox Sports broadcaster (Brenneman?) who got caught using a homophobic slur on a hot mic and then issued his statement of remorse as he continued to do play by play. Also, saw some other tweets elsewhere from some women posting pics of Urban at this same event asking "who is this guy that keeps flirting with me?" Dude is out of there.
  17. Have they even provided an update on Shaq and Reddick? I know both came back, but I didn't even hear Rhule asked about them in the presser... regardless, just watching during the game, without ever getting a report on it, I assumed Shaq's injury was a shoulder or arm thing and if not, at least upper body/torso. It looked like when he dove to tackle he immediately felt pain and rolled over with his arms tucked in. He never appeared to look at or favor anything but his upper body, and the way he was holding his arms, I assumed it was a stinger. Was hoping to get an update on those guys today in the presser.
