  1. Kobe shot free throws, walked off the court and into the locker room when he tore his Achilles. The fact they haven't given any sort of "less serious" update since he was carted off - and the fact that they carted him off after checking him out and called it a heel injury are generally all bad signs.
  2. No doubt we are talent deficient at a few spots, but I think the last two weeks has shown we're really competitive. I feel like today if we had a pass rush, the young guys caught the ball, and guys start tackling, we win that game.
  3. Damn... I thought I remembered when we signed him, many were posting his pff grades and stats from last year and saying that we essentially signed the same production we got from Burns for a bargain bin deal. I thought he was regarded as a really good value signing.
  4. Generally I would agree, but I feel like we're a pass rush and a few secure catches away from contending for the playoffs. My thought is trade Bryce to offset what we would give away for a guy like Reddick. Perhaps they take a 4th for him (considering his holdout, demands, age, etc.)? Get a 4th for Bryce.
  5. If either of these guys coming back could provide some sort of pressure, that would make a world of difference. People can say what they want about Clowney, but he has been the only consistent pass rush presence I've seen the last couple of games. It's hard to do it by yourself. If neither of them can provide any boost to the pass rush, we should look into a trade to bring back Haason Reddick, imo. He honestly should have never been allowed to walk in the first place... I believe I even posted leading into that offseaosn that I would've retained him over Burns at the time. He's unhappy with the Jets and has yet to play for them, so I anticipate it wouldn't take a lot to get him from them.
  6. Rivers may have put up sexier numbers, but even with good defenses and LT in the backfield for many of those years, Eli won two superbowls snd Phillip never even sniffed one... so, not sure who won that exchange.
  7. Really, the drops and the defense killed us. Evero looked like a genius year one, but idk man... I know we're lacking talent in some spots, but they unit as a whole is playing like a sieve. And when guys like Woods are trying to shoulder check Jamarr Chase instead of tackle him, you give up 30+ points a game. Andy, as expected, can win us games. He's doing all that he can. I was a bit disappointed in the OL with the run game early today, and the young receivers have to get rid of the dropsies. But this team has some good pieces and I expect us to compete to win every week... but this defense has figure it the fug out.
  8. Harris literally looks like he does the same thing every play. It's like a guy in soccer that never touches the ball, he just sprints back and forth.
  9. Gross. If this is the cream of the crop of college football QBs, we should not be pressed whatsoever to get a guy next draft. The QB gem of this upcoming draft will certainly not be him. Ewers and Manning are good candidates but I don't think Manning is eligible until 2026, right? But anyway, Beck is ass. Also watched Dart earlier, also extremely ass. When they said he was a Heisman hopeful, I was flabbergasted. That is all.
  10. No, but tbh, is it a surprise that the FO pretty much missed every possible hit they could've had in the draft during Fitts tenure? We could've had Willis or Howell. But tbh, do you believe either would've succeeded until we got Canales as coach? They probably would've looked as bad as they were capable of too.
  11. I meant specifically with football... and I would say all the way from middle school through college, Bryce was put in that position.
  12. But in all seriousness, imagine being coddled, protected, postured, and positioned to win your whole life, and then over 18 games, you prove you aren't just not good at this level but you're actually one of the worst to ever do it, get replaced, and the QB who has sat behind you that entire time sets multiple milestones and the locker room is going crazy. Tbh, he probably wants to be traded at this point.
  13. Everything was so awesome and then Tepper walked in and I almost vomited.
  14. Tbh, Reich wasn't wrong at all. All the other factors he was supposedly wrong about look much different when you have a QB who can actually play football. He knew he was put in an impossible situation with a guy he didn't want who he knew couldn't play NFL QB. Everything he did after we drafted Bryce, I think he knew was a lost cause.
  15. It's also worth considering, he isn't just the worst #1 pick ever, he may be the worst starting QB ever to have logged that many attempts/starts. He's so bad.
  16. All true, but I think having a functional QB changed the complexion of the entire team and the game. They couldn't impose their will, be it the pass, run, or defensively, because we had balance and the defense stayed fresh. Dalton really made the game entirely different.
  17. I say keep Andy as the bridge. As I've suggested elsewhere, see what Detroit wants for Hooker or what New England would take for Milton as a young prospect with a high ceiling to develop. As far as the draft, we wouldn't be pressed to take a guy next year, and I'm not super informed on the college crop, but what I've seen outside of Ewers or Arch, I'm unimpressed. So, if we can take one of those guys without having to maneuver to do so, cool... if not, be patient and get a guy who has the tools physically and just needs polish and time, and there's a lot of those guys who aren't #1 overall picks. And also, dump Bryce immediately. If the rumors are true and a team offered a 4th, you take that poo and run. I would like a 3rd, but I don't know why any team would offer even a 4th at this point, but end this nightmare ASAP.
  18. That may be, but Dalton had a very similar degree of success when he stepped in for Bryce against Seattle last year. His last two starts since he's been here have both looked really good. While teams didn't know what this offense would look like, they do know Canales and Dalton. They know tendencies. And I think Pierce is a fantastic coach with a defensive background, so I think this is more than them not being prepared bc it was Dalton... he needs to be given credit for still being a really, really good QB, and with him in the lineup, this team is dynamic.
  19. DJ has best WR in the league potential... reminds me a little of prime AB or Diggs at his peak. If we've learned nothing else over the last few years is - once you have an asset, you should do everything you can to keep them, because the return is often never going to get you your value back. We also have a horrible habit of selling low. I hope this isn't being considered. Andy is gonna get him the ball.
  20. Nothing special... and isn't Barno and Wonnum about to come back?
  21. I honestly don't know how I feel about it, but I don't really get the hand-wringing. I don't give a poo if Chris Kringle made the call, because it was overdue and should've been obvious to Tepper's dumbass before the trade or the pick was ever made. So, good job on finally making the call... he's still a fuging idiot. But it is essentially inconsequential to me who made the call, because it was the right one. We can't change anything about what's already done... we can only look forward. Bryce was a huge mistake and a very costly one. Let Andy see what he can do for the rest of the season, but regardless, we know Tepper is going to be involved... he's the owner and there's nothing we can do about it. He makes the calls... we can only hope moving forward his dumbass finally, accidentally happens into a good one next time. People keeping bring up Stroud and we all have contemplated what we look like if we had taken him instead... my pick was AR, but I would've loved Stroud as well. And honestly, had we taken either of them, they make a lot of Tepper's other decisions a wash because their physical ability alone is enough to carry an offense and make it go. So if we hit on a guy like that this coming draft, it will nix out a lot of Tepper's dumbass meddling, because once they're on the field, it's about the players and coaches. No playcall, scheme, or coaching could've made Bryce an NFL QB. On to the next one. I think yall will be excited in what we see from Andy, compared to what we were getting with Bryce's sorry ass.
  22. Aaron Rodgers has played most of his career in a WCO, if I'm not mistaken, as have many other big-armed QBs... it's not the scheme for us, it's the personnel. They have repeatedly annointed noodle-armed, pansy-wristed game managers as our starting QB and then framed the offense around their "strengths." It's no coincidence why when Dalton stepped in last year versus Seattle, the offense looked completely different. It's not that they aren't scheming up deep shots. They are. The guy pulling the trigger just can't see/throw them.
  23. Nah, bro... I dont blame any defense for giving up what ours has two weeks through when the offense is that fuging bad. If the offense goes 2-22 or whatever the fug it has been over the first two weeks of the season in 3rd down conversions, then the defense is out on the field the entire fuging game. Hard to not give up a ton of points when they have an entire game to try.
  24. Good poo, Dave. I might actually watch a game again now.
