Official Panthers at Giants please God let us win GameDay thread
Proudiddy replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brady is such a fuging idiot. This is so hard to watch. If the average fan at home is 90% sure of what you're going to run, you can guarantee the other team does. This whole staff needs to go. -

Well look at that. It only took like 7 weeks, and Brady discovered what quick routes to get the ball out like slants are. -
Would you draft Sam Howell at 10?
Proudiddy replied to slumdogmillionaire's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would draft a HS QB right now over fuging Darnold. That being said, Howell will be a good NFL QB, but I wouldn't take him in the top 10. I probably wouldn't even take him in the first round. -

While I agree, it's not just the QBs, its how the whole offense is being ran. Darnold sucks, but is Jalen Hurts a good QB? The Eagles schemed to his strengths and pulled away at the end. Brady is a fuging idiot. -

And every week, we see teams with less offensive talent outscheme this college coaching staff like nobody's business. Just throw the whole thing away and start over. -

Yeah, its time for Darnold to sit. There is no fixing this piece of poo. Go sell insurance or something bc you're done. Bring PJ in now and make the move for Watson. -
Matt Rhule says there’s a chance Stephon Gilmore plays vs NYG
Proudiddy replied to Julio's topic in Carolina Panthers
But my point is, Rhule isn't saying vague nothings. Initially, many here appreciated his candor and found his transparency refreshing. He has been blatantly honest more often than not in pressers, so it's not just a bunch of Rivera's "have to execute" or Fox's "it is what it is." Maybe y'all haven't watched them in their entirety, or maybe you just didn't catch it if you did, but he has actually went into Xs and Os and scheme-specific stuff in these. Foc and Rivera never did that. They also always intentionally avoided discussing injuries and availability as much as possible. Rhule seems to just speak off the cuff and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. -

I'll ignore your veiled insults and just have you compare his presser to Fox or Rivera. His predecessors literally said the same thing every week - a whole lot of vague nothing. You couldn't read anything from their presser one way or another. It has nothing to do with believing everything he says, it's that he says too much. Period. -

Like when CMC was ready? Or Henderson? I just wish he would shut up. -
Report: Matt Rhule looking to play Shi Smith at RB some plays
Proudiddy replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
NGL, loved pretty much every pick of the draft outside of the long snapper, and I thought at the time the TMJ pick may have been the best value pick of our class and possibly of the entire draft, but since the season started TMJ hasn't got much action his way... and even when TMJ had been in there, he hadnt really flashed much, although Darnold has missed him on some big plays. But when Shi has played, both in preseason and on Sunday, there is something about him, even just the way he moves. It's like a surging electricity bubbling beneath the surface, waiting to erupt. I even said in the game thread on his reverse that I thought it was DJ Moore. There's something special about him, and I can definitely see elements of Samuel in him. Smitty loves him too, and I can see a bit of that edge/playmaking in him, too. Looking forward to seeing more of him. -
Yeah, I was going to include that in my post. I agree, I think, and it appears, that off-court drama definitely was in his head last season. I hope he's better mentally and has all that behind him. He stepped up big time tonight and I'm proud of him.
-
Also, Melo is a MOTHERfugING SUPERSTAR. I'm so happy we have him. Dude is the future.
-
I've been super critical of PJ. But I'm proud of him tonight. I thought he was put in a terrible spot due to, once again, JB's horrible subs/rotations. He hadn't been in for almost a quarter, IIRC, and JB subs him in for what will be our last shot with 12 secs left, and he gets the rebound and nails both FTs. Then JB leaves him in again to shut down Sabonis, who had been eating Plumlee's lunch all game... and despite giving up that much size, he stonewalls him. He had so many lapses in focus last season, I was ready to ship him out... but he showed up big tonight and locked-in everytime he had to.
-
Hayward has been fouled nearly every drive tonight and they might have called one.
-
And did MJ piss some people off at the league offices? These officials are atrocious and blatantly one-sided.
-
I thought those calls are reviewable?? Wtf is going on?!?!?!?
-
Also, they're running a high pick and roll with Brogdon and Sabonis and Plumlee's lurch ass is sitting down at the free throw line looking around with this thumb up his ass. 3 by Brogdon.
-
They are beating the absolute poo out of Hayward and the refs can't find their whistle.
-
That was a foul on Melo on that board.
-
Way to contest that, Oubre.
-
See, and thats a prime example right there of what I'm talking about with JB... Melo is scorching hot, he goes to the bench about halfway through the 3rd qtr and he doesn't bring him back in until the Pacers had already started coming back almost a third to halfway through the 4th... and he did the same thing last season almost like clockwork. There is something about the 6 minute mark each quarter. It's like a benchmark for him. Meanwhile, Plumlee is getting bitch slapped up and down the court by Sabonis, and he just leaves him in there. His rotations suck ass.
