  1. I've always loved me some Honey Badger, so I agree. Dude plays so much bigger than his size and just brings a swagger.
  2. RIP to a legend. Was my go to for football news on ESPN when I was a kid. TBH, I thought he had already passed, as he looked much older than he was. One of the greatest football reporters of our time and provided one of the greatest commercials ever as well... RIP John Clayton!
  3. If Tre is convinced of it, I'm guessing its possible it isn't being rushed through bc from looking at his page, Mathieu is at Disney with his family. Prolly not super engaged in contract talks right now.
  4. Nah... especially not if we sign Cam back or bring in a guy like Mariota.
  5. Yeah, and the bad moves we've made (Bridgewater and Darnold) were all pushed for/initiated by Rhule.
  6. That despite all of the crap with Rhule and Tepper, that Fitt was the one thing we've gotten right. Credit to fellow front office geniuses Dan Morgan and Sulaiman as well... these guys know what the fug they're doing. Fitt is an effing Rockstar and his baseball background is fitting, because he is knocking it out of the park this offseason. Even without signing Armstead, this may be the greatest OL we have ever assembled on paper, the only other one I think competes is the 2003 group. A 4x All Pro Punter and Honey Badger, too??? Ooowee mayne. I love this guy. P.S. - Please bring Gilly and Cam back.
  7. Which i still don't understand. If we considered him a franchise QB, I don't understand why we wouldn't fully guarantee those years. But thats above my pay grade.
  8. He definitely didn't want to come here.
  9. This is starting to feel like the best FA period we have ever had. My God this is amazing. Also, Elflein, go sit your ass down somewhere.
  10. All that being said, yall think we can tag back in now at the last minute????
  11. Hell yeah! Couldn't have ended any better for us after he ruled us out. Honestly, again, I think Atlanta and NO strictly only got involved to keep us from getting him, and for that they need to be destroyed. But yeah, they were just bluffing to keep us from getting him, and he realized they couldn't make the deal so he doubled back to Cleveland. I'm telling you, maybe its main character syndrome, but it sure doesn't feel like other divisions fug with one team like ours does with us.
  12. They had to have enough space for the smartest man in the room, obviously.
  13. And not sure if this should get its own thread, but Scot was right:
  14. Thats the only logical guy I can think of that would line up with this. And honestly, I was thinking our staff would want him anyway bc of his versatility and ability to play the nickel. I went back and looked at Boston's years in AZ and SD/LA and couldn't find any other safeties he played with that would be available/desirable now... Tyrann is the only guy that makes sense, as he played in AZ the year before Boston got there, and happens to be a FA. I'd like it.
  15. And not to mention, I know he isn't high on many fans' lists here, but outside of Thomas, Robby Anderson is far superior to any other receiver on their roster... and if TMJ and Shi can play with an NFL QB who doesn't get them murdered, in a functional NFL offense, they are likely better than any other weapon they have outside of Thomas and Kamara. I dont buy it. Why would we not want to guarantee 3rd and 4th years on a guy we're trading 3 firsts for and view as our franchise QB? That's horseshit.
  16. I didnt think his acquisition would have an effect one way or the other on the need for a quality C.
  17. We were reportedly interested early. I wouldn't know what the hold up would be... if we can get him. I would feel a thousand times better about our line.
  18. I liked him, but after we released him, I figured a guy like Nixon (who flashed early) or Hoskins could eventually be much better in the same role. That being said, it really bothers me that we just willy nilly released him on a whim because we wanted to create room for Watson when he hadn't even said he was coming here. Seems extremely impulsive, not well thought out, and short-sighted. Oh well, like I said, I don't think we'll miss him much.
