I agree its a completely subjective call. But then why has it only been called on us and not them, and what does that say? -

Mav, I don't think we should ever depend on the refs to call a game fairly when it comes to us, but you would have to be intentionally ignoring what's happening to believe they aren't having an effect on the game and influencing it in WFT's favor so far. Ad SB50 taught us, its not just what penalties they call, but its when and where they call it or don't call it that matters. When you're letting them gash us with huge runs by blatant holding on the outside, it affects our ability to play our game, while allowing them to play theirs. When we go from ending a drive on a 3rd down to them getting a whole new set of downs on a horseshit unnecessary roughness call, which they then use to go on to score with, that matters. When we constantly go from 2nd and 2 to 2nd and 7 or 2nd and 17, it matters. Again, I don't want to depend on them or use them as an excuse, but it is awfully hard to overcome when they influence the game to the point it affects what plays we can run on either side of the ball, that is tough. -

I dont blame him... its smart. The only legit receiver they have is McLaurin. Problem is, Donte is playing like poo and getting abused and they are keeping extra blockers in and we're getting absolutely zero pressure (allowing them to hold every play doesn't help either). -

That was pathetic. Chinn should've picked it and we got absolutely no push. -

This. Ehh, outside of his bout with covid, he appeared to manage the season in New England fine health-wise and had one of his strongest games late in the season against the Texans.

NFL Pro Bowl Voting is open. Which Panthers are on the list?
Proudiddy replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm obviously voting for all of our guys, but who i think should make it, objectively? Locks: Reddick, Shaq, Moton, Zane. If they stay healthy and keep up current level of play: CMC, Gilmore Needs a strong second half of season: DJ, Burns, Chinn, and maybe Elflein (has pedigree and name recognition, and if offense hits it stride with Cam, could catapult him into contention) I'm writing in bc idgaf - Cam -

Zane? -
Yup . And it's why I keep saying had Darnold even been below average at QB, we would either be 8-1 or 9-0. All the games we lost, especially Dallas, we couldn't score offensively which allowed the other team to run on us because they weren't under pressure to match our production, bc there was none. If we're able to get up, or even score early, the other team can't slow the game down and run, which our defense isn't as great at stopping as we are the pass. Now with Cam, we can play to our strengths. As I said previously, Cam doesn't have to be 2015 Cam. 2020 Cam could put up MVP numbers with this supporting cast, and is plenty good enough to produce enough offense for us to win every game with the dominance of the defense we have. These are truly exciting times.

Better as expected. But, I don't think these grades are accurate. That was the 4th ranked defense we kept from getting a sack. And I've said from day news of this season, yes, I know Daley has looked bad at moments on the interior, but he flashed early at tackle. Maybe there is hope for him there, and that is where I always believed he performed best. Interesting to see what we do moving forward.

Then when asked about if he thought Cam was the reason for that, you could almost see the realization on his face in real-time as it hit him and he said. "Yeah, now that I think about it... yeah." Ladies and gentlemen, our franchise QB is back home and the juice is back with him. Also, congrats on staying undefeated as a starter PJ!

"Robby Sucks" and "It's all the OL's fault" folks
Proudiddy replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
You didn't see those threads from me... especially not about Sam. I always knew he was trashed but was hopeful I could be wrong, but I never believed in him. Now, any threads about how great the team was are accurate. This is a good team with championship-level defense. Always was. And the offense has some of the best weapons in he NFL. Always did. You can scheme around a poor OL. You can't scheme around a shitty QB, and that was the problem... now we don't have to. The king is back. -

I agree with Smitty, but not the idea that he was doing it in purpose. I think he, and the other receivers, legitimately struggled with tracking the ball off Sam's hand, and I also think the fear of getting stretchered off on any given throw also affected their ability to catch the ball when it was thrown to them. I dont think it was making a point at all, I just think there was no trust between the receivers and Sam.
