  1. Yup... agreed. And so many examples, imo, and that is likely one of the biggest... I also think the buying the former associate's home to destroy it and build a new one over it, the classy ass grab at the presser, busting Mick's balls on-air and essentially making fun of him before forcing him to retire, making the allusion to Panther fans on Twitter being "basement dwellers," the HQ debacle, etc. Oh, and the Watson pursuit happened after he swore when assuming ownership after JR'S exit that sexual assault/harassment was a zero tolerance, non-starter issue for our team moving forward. Welp...
  2. While all that may be Scot, I don't feel like I'm going out on a limb to assume Tepper isn't any better of a person than JR was/is. From everything I've read/seen/heard, Tepper is a dirtbag. And my assumption is, pretty much all of these owners are too that play by their own rules thanks to their money and power... the ones who have had issues is just because they got caught/called out, but they're all mostly the same. So I don't think we came out better as far as our integrity, character, values, or foundation. So if those things are equal, then what did we come out with? Just a worst team and record.
  3. Well, Rhule doesn't have to worry about it. Coach Hov is locked in for 7 years.
  4. Yeah, I know there is still time, and I always believed in DJ more, for whatever its worth. But idk, Horn just looked so much more impressive in limited looks as a rookie. To me, he looks a lot more stiff, slower, and flat-footed this season.
  5. I liked both, but it's starting to look like you may be right.
  6. That's why I don't get too heavy into the Horn vs Fields talk. What I've watched of Fields, he appears to be not much different than so many QBs who have come through and been average to bad in their careers. Why? Because for all his incredible talent and natural physical gifts, he seems to lack the in-game mental part. Just like Darnold, whom so many "experts" loved for his physical gifts and abilities, he seems to struggle with processing what he's seeing, so if the first read or two isn't there he panics. Difference is, Fields is such an incredible athlete, he's been able to make some amazing plays with his legs once he doesn't trust his eyes or arm. But, that isn't a sustainable form of offense and isn't much different than what they did with Trubisky because he had the same problem. They don't trust what they're seeing, and that's what separates the greats from the bums. I don't see Fields being an elite passer now or in the future, because it's generally something guys either have or they don't.
  7. I've been hearing this in my head the last two Sundays...
  8. Agreed. If they can put those sensors in the shoulder pads, there's gotta be a way to work it in the ball and goal line without affecting play.
  9. I remember at Clemson, Sammy Watkins looked like he was moving at thrice the speed of everyone else on the field. The way he moved with the ball in his hands made everyone else look like they were in slow motion - just like Smitty. He has just not ever looked like that in the pros. I don't remember the last time I saw him lull away from defenders as a pro... but I think he had a few injuries early with the Bills, and I just don't think he was ever the same.
  10. Yeah, that looked like a TD, easy. They should start playing with a infrared ball or something.
  11. What you don't like Baker's meaningless 3 yard scrambles before getting caught from behind?
  12. I think the Bears still need to review it. It looks like he might have had the ball over the plane.
  13. I posted this in the '"Ted Lasso" theory thread.' I could buy the theory minus it being linked to JR. I think he could be tanking the morale and value to the region to make it easier to detach and move when he demands the city/county/state pay for a new stadium and they/we refuse considering the bad history he now has with the previous tanked deal for HQ and all-time low support from fans. He then skates out of town. I dont think this is theory. It is now what I believe is actually happening.

  15. The more I keep seeing from Payton, the more I keep remembering our pride as fans being accosted when Payton said, "yeah, they're just running some of that college stuff," going into one of the games. We already started seeing the cracks, but it felt like a cheap shot that we didn't want to believe to be factual... but it was. We are a fuging joke.
  16. I think it's entirely possible for us to be the first team to go 0-17 ever. We may accidentally fluke into a win or two but I just can't see this team winning with this coach. And you could see the how demoralizing this loss was for guys who laid it all out there, like Luvu. That last play, they just sat there on the ground looking like, "it's never gonna work. All this for nothing."
  17. But for that to happen, the owner has to actually care about what's happening on the field and how the fans feel about it. I dont think Tepper considers or gives a poo about either.
  18. And that's what is so upsetting... he's supposedly the mastermind genius that made himself into a billionaire by always being a step ahead in his decision-making... or at least that's the story we're fed. (Which by the way is bullshit... as someone who just got into investing over the last few years and see how rigged it is in favor of those who curry favor with those who matter - i.e. market makers, hedge funds, etc., it could be relatively easy to get in with the right people, learn how to game the system and then amass incredible wealth by using other people's money. It doesnt require brilliance, it requires rubbable elbows, lack of integrity, and a willingness to kiss ass, but i digress.) So, here, this "genius" is three years into a coach who has shown ZERO signs of improvement, is setting records for futility and losing by the week, and is holding the wheel on the darkest, worst period in the entire history of the franchise that just keeps getting worse. The guy is fuging 1-25 when the other team scores 17 points, which is hilarious, because most teams are capable of scoring 17 points every week. Oh, so if you have a good defense you still have a chance? Well, he amassed a whole season's worth of those losses last year with a Top 10 defense. It's like a ship springing leaks and everytime you think you plugged one, a new wine springs open. It's completely hopeless. And our self-made billionaire genius owner just sits by and watches idly, because he's smarter than everyone else and even if he isn't, has enough money to just tell us to go fug ourselves - which he is doing right now.
  19. I've been saying the same thing since he let him finish last season... but, as usual, FA and the draft suckered me back into thinking we could overcome this idiot. The first two games have reminded me how impossible that is. It also explains why my disdain for Tepper has silently and subconsciously grown exponentially since last season without me even actively feeding it... because when he made that decision last season he effectively dropped the blade on this one.
  20. I didnt believe it in its entirety, but definitely felt the majority of it was true, and all of it was likely rooted in truth but may have been a bit embellished... now? I agree, all of it seems more and more concrete.
