I still maintain that was officiating more than anything stupid we did. IIRC, they called Mitchell for a clean hit, and then the ref looked dead at Boldin as he committed a dead-ball personal foul and walked off. There were multiple other examples that game, but it did not feel like we got a fair shake.

Wow. That's ugly and hope the fan is okay, but ngl, I'm giving Daley a guaranteed roster spot just for suplexing a Patriot on his back. That was for stealing our '03 Superbowl.
-
I dont know that he knocked a guy out and stood over him, and tbh, it didn't sound like Rhule knew exactly what he did either. I believe Rhule said a Pats coach came over and told him what KRob did and so they threw him out based off that. He said all he actually saw of it was grainy video of what he did but couldn't give a final word without them being able to go back and look at what took place. I was under the impression that whatever he did transpired during the melee because there were no tweets or reports of a hit from Robinson sparking anything today, at least not that I remember.

I'll have to go back and watch it when they repost it, but to err on the side of caution, I assume it was the calf still. Couldn't remember if it was hamstring or calf that he was dealing with, but I think he was saying it was whatever existing injury he already had, so I'll edit the OP to cite the calf injury.

Idk what it is, but I just like Zylstra. He isn't flashy, he doesn't necessarily wow you (at least not very often), but he is just THERE. And he makes plays. It's why I prefer him over a Saunders or Wright, tbh, because we've seen Zylstra and know he can do it. Plus, he can play STs.

Said they were initially concerned Bozeman may have a fracture when the injury happened, said thankfully no fracture but has a lot of stuff "going on inside there [his ankle]." Said he'll be out 2-3 weeks. Asked about Robbie... said they wouldn't do vet days for any guys during joint practices. Said Robbir has a quad issue he has been playing through and just couldn't go today. TMJ still having issues with the calf. Said he didn't see exactly what KRob did, but apparently he hit someone and then stood over them and taunted them and Rhule said that's not what we're about. Was asked if Robinson will be cut following today's issues, and he said they'll have to get in and discuss everything and go from there, and added, the majority of these guys are out there to play football the right way, and you have one or two guys that cause issues. Then said, they'll have to look at the tape and see what happened and look at their options because "you have one guy" who has disrupted practice two days in a row. I think Rhulr was also asked what KRob was trying to say to him when he came back out, and he said he didn't know, because "I just told him [assuming Fitterer] to send him inside." Yikes. TBH, I like KRob, and I've just always got the feeling that Rhule doesn't. Not excusing him from anything done the last two days, but he always has made plays when given the opportunities, and he just seems to be one of those guys that gives your team energy and an edge.

Smh. Hard to tell if the supporting cast around Corral contributes to his issues, but it just doesn't sound encouraging.

Just came to say... Gettlemagic.

Please Fitt, get him the fug out of here. Is that like 5 ints, just today???
-
And I didn't mean or intend any disrespect with my response. Darnold just gets under my fuging skin.
-
What a fuging trainwreck he is.

I disagree. Whether he is on the roster or not, as you said, we owe him 19M to finish out this last contract year. I'd rather get the obvious over with because the play and his presence isn't worth 19M. He fuging sucks. And I've maintained since last season, I honestly think PJ is a better QB than Darnold.

Ahh, good point. I forgot about that... I was thinking because it's the second preseason game, that had we not had joint practices, this would be more like the dress rehearsal that the 3rd PS game used to be. But, yes, I forgot... we have started using these sessions as the dress rehearsal instead, like we did with Indy last season, and why they said a lot of our guys like CMC would participate in the practices but not in the game... yes, it all males sense now. Brain fart on my part lol. But still, I would be concerned about cheap shots and auch even with the depth guys. It just doesn't seem to set a very good precedent.

Yeah, and I could expect Rhule to not command enough respect or have enough control of his team to where that stuff would happen, but I'm particularly surprised that Belichick and all his gravitas is apparently idly standing by and allowing his team to get into it. NGL, knowing what happened yesterday, and then them running joint kickoff drills, to where even a guy like Person is tweeting the drill is "stupid," I'm starting to wonder if this is all purposeful from Belichick and Rhule. Almost like an old-fashioned, now outlawed Oklahoma Drill, in the guise of a joint practice, to toughen up their squads. Otherwise, it makes zero sense.

Yeah... no. That wasn't even what the crystal ball reference was about.

Yeah, it also concerns me that it escalates the chances for revenge taken out when we actually play the game Friday. Just doesn't seem to be a good idea at all. I like that we seem to be the ones bringing the dog to the fight, but it just doesn't seem like a good idea knowing we have to play them Friday.

Fitt needs to put an end to the bullshit. After Darnold's showing today, the team steadily and progressively gravitating towards Baker as the leader and QB1, they just need to dump Darnold and give PJ and Corral those reps. A lot more meaningful. As many of us have been saying, there is no hope for Sam. He is what he is. Perhaps he can latch on somewhere as a backup or #3, but it shouldn't be here. He is useless.

Jaycee is gonna be a fuging problem.

Yeah, I didn't think he was out of bounds either from the first zoomed out video angle... so, on one hand, I don't feel that warranted a scrap. On the other, I love for our team to scrap regardless, and it's the Pats, so fug em. All that being said, in a game it's legal, but if I'm not mistaken, depending on the drill, in practices don't they usually stop the play at a wrap up and generally don't pop the RBs? Maybe that's what we were pissed about?

Agreed that they are the same archetypal safety that everyone wants... but honestly, as much as I like James' game, I was really surprised they paid him that. It seems he really earned it off reputation for his potential thus far than anything, because he has missed a TON of games since they drafted him. And I'm cool with whatever wr have to pay Chinn to stay when that time comes, he has earned it, continues to earn it, and with the increase in cap and revenue each year, all the "record" amounts of money in these contracts will continue. It's par for the course.

They said yesterday that once the practice started, they cut the cameras away from the action and the guys just talked about it.

I've seen several huddlers assume TMJ I'd a lock in our previous discussions about the WR depth chart, but I don't. Shi has definitely surpassed him on it and I have gushed repeatedly about his potential... he could be HUGE for us. Higgins probably leapfrogged over him too. TMJ flashed last year, then got hurt, then they didn't play him anymore, and now he can't even get on the field. Also factor in guys like Saunders and Wright started getting 1st team snaps, we have to keep Roberts for STs, and I think it was Smitty that said the UDFA Henry is really highly regarded by the staff, and TMJ may be a one and done. He's definitely playing with fire.
-
I don't think that was the case about them winning the day... even their most biggest homer beat guys seemed pretty bummed as the practice went on and said we set the tone with physicality and energy all day. The more I read, the more I was encouraged.

I honestly thought he had washed out of the league after a couple of years with the Cards.
