  1. First I watched of him yesterday. Had no idea his background or how old he is, but what I did see was incredible talent. That dude has a rocket and the arm talent reminds me a bit of Aaron Rodgers. Although, I'm not sure why they pulled him for the hail mary attempt at the end of the first half, unless it was stat related?
  2. The only difference I'm seeing is the physical assault and publicly threatening jobs aspect... but aside from those, Rhule actually seemed to be more toxic IMO, and the environment he created and fostered was able to fester for a lot longer. We knew it was bad, but the fact this went on for two and a half years is insane.
  3. Yeah i thought that as I was reading it too... how cringe using the pepsi reference. I bet in his college-ass mind he thought that pepsi reference was gonna kill here because of the history. Smh... it's just so embarrassingly bad.
  4. But again, you could see how dysfunctional it was from the outside which is what makes it so much more insane that Tepper let it stretch on for as long as he did. Even the "DBO" poo... it was clear he was trying to implement that and emphasize it as part of our culture but then quickly saw, not even after camp, but during camp, how ill-received it was and abandoned it. Then you see the details behind it, like this and it's just incredible it went on for as long as it did. Anyone of us could walk in that building and do the exact stuff he did, and in fact, I believe some here with their football knowledge, would actually produce more wins and a better culture... point being, all that rah-rah poo means jackshit if there is no substance behind it. It's like he went hunting and came back with the game's skeleton but never explained to anyone where the meat was. poo just doesn't work and the more you implement poo and then abandon it, the more people will lsee you for the buffoon you are.
  5. I also see Cowboys fans jizzing all over themselves on Twitter demanding that Jerry go get them DJ Moore... ESPN thsi week has also featured Keyshawn, JWill, and Max diacussing DJ to help their Giants. As I've said elsewhere, we just fired our coach, our owner appears to be an arrogant, pompous idiot, and national media sees it as our franchise being in complete disarray, so of course, they view us as the NFL's little brother team that they can use to fulfill all of their fantasy trade needs... fug logic and reasoning, "I wont that player from that team nobody cares about Jerrah!" But again, completely forget the fact that DJ just signed a contract extension and it makes NO fuging sense for us to trade him because of the cap hit we would incur. I don't put any weight into any of these "reports." These assholes from major markets are pushing this poo for clicks.
  6. If Wilks doesn't win the job and our answer to that is Dan Quinn, I may choose to visit Mint St and poo my pants all through the tour. He's a great DC, but a poo head coach with a penchant for not being able to close out games. We don't need more of the same.
  7. Love it. And that's exactly how he projects in everything I've seen. He has that gravitas about him that makes you want to be your best self. I am optimistic.
  8. I remember that too, and the more that comes out, I'm shifting from believing he just didn't know to that he actually just didn't care.
  9. That is noteworthy and amazing. It was not coincidence he left that first year trying to work in the organization while Rhule was here.
  10. Now that you mention it... funny enough, I don't ever remember seeing Rhule with the OC before. EVER.
  11. I'm not sitting on the edge of my seat for it... unless the C3 guy can being something out of Stew with what he has already shared from his source, it's likely to be very benign, safe, and boring... everything I've seen from Stew on IG while Rhule was here was tip toeing around the actual issues. I love Stew, but he clearly didn't want to step on any toes and I bekieve has some loyalty to Tepper because he helped him get into a post-career track, IIRC... so everything he said was generic, "guy have to play better... I dont think any one person is the problem... I hate to see a gut lose their job," etc.
  12. Nope. He said everyone tag Smitty and have him on the podcast and he'll tell it there.
  13. It's not just Cam. Again, objectively, he would instantly be the best QB on the roster. But aside from that, I honestly can't root against Wilks. I want him to win. This roster really is not that far off, so the rebuild talk to me is insane... most of the turnover that needs to happen is at the bottom of the roster. We have a solid secondary, OL, and a few great young core pieces. What if Wilks could get this team fired up and we make a run for a wild card? I know it's asteonomical odds, but what if? People complain about the draft position, but I know for a fact, not a single person would be complaining if he could find a way to win 10 games and gave us a shot at the playoffs. It would give the fanbase hope for the first time in a very long time. And I honestly really would love to see Wilks be the guy to turn around this franchise... what a fairy tale story that would be, and then let him fully install his own systems and schemes next season with a staff of his choosing. The players love him, the fans love him, and he's a hometown guy. It would be awesome, and if he could get Cam to come back and make a run with him, get Luke on the staff, man... that would be awesome and I would not give a single fug about draft position.. just because we pick #1 doesn't mean we'd get it right either.
  14. I'm still not understanding how DJ is even being brought up. Name the last time you saw a player sign a multi-year extension and then traded the same season? The cap hit would void out any value we would receive in return. Its just dumb.
  15. Damn the lows for the defense are LOW. I know Wilks has been supporting Henderson, but I think Taylor may end up taking his spot. He's on the bottom end of these grades more often than not.
  16. He seems to have gotten back to form coming back from last season.
  17. Just posted the same thing in another thread... Wilks assuming the HC job has me excited for the first time in a very long time. He's always had something about him - a certain gravitas - that commands respect and admiration, both among fans and players. And I think a huge thing we were lacking under Rhule was that among other things, but also that the players had lost their competitiveness. They weren't competing for a full 60 mins... as cliche as that sounds. And I think Wilks is a guy that can bring that out of any player. It's refreshing and exciting.
  18. I dont think any of that matters, except - WIN. I'm not looking forward to a "next head coach," just as Wilks said, I'm thinking about right now, and how do we win right now, and everything after that will take care of itself. I think Wilks could really earn this job, and I would love that. I think he deserves it as well... and what an awesome story that would be... Outside of scheme-related stuff that had to be changed, the biggest issue this team had under Rhule was they lacked direction snd just didn't compete for a full 60 mins. I really think Wilks can pull that competitiveness back out of them. He already stated that everybody here had an opportunity, snd that is going to bring out the dog in a lot of guys. I'm excited for the first time in a long time.
  19. Said it will be on the injury report tomorrow. He doesn't know until then.
  20. They have had multiple discussions in the last 24 hours and he said they are on the same page about adjustments that need to be made, so he feels good about that.
  21. That was awesome. Love what I'm hearing from Coach.
  22. Hey, there's always a silver lining... at least he didn't have his wife there yesterday to commence the occasion with the old celebratory fingers up her ass.
  23. Drummond is the guy you used to always see chaperoning Cam between interviews and would stand off to the side during the pressers and cue him/them on what was appropriate and when the presser was over and such. I always saw him but didn't know who he was until last season. He hasn't been nearly as visible over the last year or so, but that's apparently tly because he went from a communications guy to football ops. Not good.
