Panthers "a top candidate" for HBO's Hard Knocks
kass replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
If there are 5 teams that can be forced to be the Hard Knocks team, yeah, all five are sort of top candidates. Some other years there was 10-12 teams who could be forced. Guess the off season is slow right now, for this kind of discussion taking place... -
So its confirmed. Not surprising.
-
Is it 5 million in base salary and the rest incentives? Mentioned by Rapoport in this clip. If so, that's more reasonably.
-
A WR in the fourth would be perfect. Have not looked into this class yet but from a glance there are some great top prospects and hopefully it is just as deep as last year.
-
Alpaca? Not as useful as a lama but better than nothing I guess.

Said it two weeks ago that Rams was in for a new QB. The price tag for Stafford was my starting offer for Watson. Wow. Really wonder which competition drove up the price. Will read this thread now.

If Newman have a good senior bowl, won't any team jump on him in the second? Weren't he considered to be a potential first rounder at one point? Alot of teams need a QB who might not get their first choice in free agency or in the first round.

Was waiting on this news article. Been obvious for a while now about Goff. Next year will probably be similar when many teams gets disappointed with this years moves.

If it’s not a QB who do you want in the draft
kass replied to MGH1989's topic in Carolina Panthers
Guess my post sound a little smug, that weren't the intention at all. I also like Sewell. Shame we lose out on his talent. Hope there are another promising OTs worthy the 8 pick. Want them to go o-line with a few picks this draft. -

Haha.. I feel sorry for my fellow countryman there.. Sewell falling to 8, yeah, unfortunately not gonna happen. -
I thought the same thing. But then he mentioned, in his answer on the Combine question. That the value of the combine was to meet the players and get to know them, he mentioned Derrick Brown specific and only him, in retrospect, as someone he would love to get the opportunity to coach. Not sure that answer change anything. He could still wanted to trade down.
-
That is true. It's fun to speculate but, well, we will see eventually if he can bring success to the team.
-
Would be interesting to see if they found value or if they should have kept on trading back. Or maybe trading up or getting picks for 2018.. haha Was about to ask if anyone could identify the year, but I did take a look and i am sure the year is 2017. It could maybe be 2019, but that is not as likely. Sooo, how did they do in 2017.

Fitterer got his foot in the door by trash talking David Tepper
kass replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Did Tepper make that comment before or after the internal interviews? Because it makes me wonder if there are any skill set the organization thinks they do not have. Also which these are. edit: guess I missed this part But I thought this kind of person was already hired last off season. -
Rams?

True, but the cases of infected is rising and so is the number of ICU. From a low level sure, but Sweden is entering 6 months of cold weather and 20 weeks of flu season. It can go quickly if people don't get their act together. There are ~90.000 elderly in care homes waiting for the last straw. They live in their final home and if they aren't protected the numbers will blow up like in spring or even worse because now it might hit other parts of Sweden and not only Stockholm. Did the Doctor mention herd immunity? Herd immunity without a vaccine is a massacre. https://www.newstatesman.com/world/europe/2020/10/sweden-s-anders-tegnell-we-did-not-pursue-herd-immunity-against-covid-19

Is this some form of Covid party? My best guess is that the purpose is to maximize the risk of getting an infection if one in the party have it. https://mobile.twitter.com/maximusupinNYc/status/1318235377627430913

Well, hopefully its just a cold. I had a cold a month ago but did take the Covid test, negative. And its easy for me to say what to do. With our welfare system giving out sickpay from day 1 during this pandemic. Also working at a family business and able to work from a distance since its mostly office work or digital meetings...

Losing smell and taste is an early indicator of Covid-19. So I would get a test and try avoid other people until getting the result. Use a mask to limited your spread to other people. Hopefully it's just a cold.

But still. This new revelation just shows that Trump is being Trump. Not up to the task he has been given.. and all this information have been available and being talked about during spring and summer.
-
Then you have not been paying attention, the 190k is a colossal failure because in other western countries the first wave was handled and the numbers went down significantly. A few regions was hit hard but in other regions the spread was some what contained. This has not been the case with the US. States who had a small spread early, have now ended up having a high death toll. When I first heard the 250k number, my reaction was. They keep it high, so they easily could get below it. Well, nope. Such a failure.
-
I don't understand this latest scandal with Trump. What's the big deal I am missing? What's "new"? I mean, he did say in the beginning, March/April something, that millions could die if no actions was taken. And if they could keep the death tolls as low as 250k, they would have done a good job.
-
That's a lazy take from me. I saw it was june, but thought they still had la significantly high spread. Nope. So then it will be interesting to see why the spread and number of deaths are so high in the rest of the US. This puzzles me. The link you provided, that is how it should have looked for the whole US. Because that is how most countries numbers looks like.
-
Thanks, interesting. That's a weird article. If people from NY, NJ and Connecticut would be banned from entering other states, that would make the most sense. How long did states have lockdowns? Did a state like California have a lock down early on? Or only alot restrictions and people working from home..
-
Were there any travel bans or restrictions implemented between different states within the US at any time? It puzzles me how the numbers continue to be high and not only in one region of the country, but almost all over.
