The Heat were a shot away from the NBA Finals in 2022 and made the NBA Finals in 2023. Let's keep some perspective. That franchise is elite. (That said, I really like this young Hornets roster; if we can do something with our two huge expiring contracts things could look great for the future) Also, hate him or like him but Bridges has become NEXT LEVEL on the basketball court. With Bridges, LaMelo, Miller, PJ, and Mark...this is a team to look out for, IMO.

I find this entertaining. Sports Illustrated ranked the top Head Coaching candidates right now, and above all of the big names (Harbaugh, Urban Myer, Belichick, whoever..) there are TWO LOCKS. And one is our own Defensive Coordinator, but he didn't even get the Interim HC position over our Special Teams Coordinator. Man, this just screams of dysfunction. Top NFL Head Coaching Candidates for 2024 and Well Beyond Locks: Ben Johnson, offensive coordinator, Lions .... Ejiro Evero, defensive coordinator, Panthers “Ejiro is a star, man. A bona fide future head coach,” an NFC coach says. “Impressive” was the first word that came on another text about Evero, whose body of work last year as the defensive coordinator with the Broncos is worth a deep dive. Denver allowed 20 or fewer points in nine games last season, but the way in which he manipulated and transformed his personnel to attack opponents on a week-to-week basis was epic. Evero has an elite coaching apprenticeship résumé, having worked under Jim Harbaugh, Mike McCarthy, Sean McVay and now Frank Reich. His quiet confidence is a respect generator. Evero was among the most sought-after defensive coordinators on the market after a series of head coaching interviews last year with the Colts and Panthers, among other teams. -
The thing that angers me the most about the future...

DT Jalen Carter (#9 overall 2022) RB Christian McCaffery (#8 overall 2017) QB Caleb Williams (#1 overall 2024) WR DJ Moore (#24 overall 2018) -for- Bryce Young, Jonathan Mingo, DJ Johnson, Chandler Zavala Great work front office! (That proposal wouldn’t even go through in a middle school fantasy football league) -
Since new ownership 5 years ago: GM: Marty Hurney, (Scott Fitterer?) HC: Ron Rivera, Matt Rhule, Steve Wilks, Frank Reich, (Chris Tabor?) OC: Norv Turner, Joe Brady, Ben McAdoo, (Thomas Brown?) Consistency at its finest.

This is what I’m curious about. HC (offensive-minded) coach gets fired, sure. RB coach / assistant head coach gets fired at the same time. Hmm. QB Coach also gets fired at the same time. Wha? Jim Caldwell (who interviewed and missed out on the HC position to Reich but accepted Sr Assistant to the HC)…is then promoted to Special Advisor. ? Then there’s the chatter about coaches texting the owner behind peoples backs. Who was doing the texting and about what?

I really want to hear Josh McCown’s account. I’m sure the Panthers paid him to not speak, but him and Duce getting fired with Reich is most curious to me.

Yeah and then they’ll go elsewhere and succeed (Joe Brady). Just like the players that fail here and succeed at their next stop (too many to name).

So 13 games in and we’ve fired our new: Head Coach Quarterbacks Coach Running Backs Coach And effectively our new Offensive Coordinator With our Special Teams Coordinator running the show Got it.

Panthers Owner now paying fans to be background extras.

I’m in Maryland now. Was wearing my Panthers gear the other day at the grocery store. Old lady came up to me and said she’s from Charlotte. I pointed to my shirt and said “we suck”. She said “we don’t suck! I haven’t watched them in 30 years.” I said “ma’am we haven’t even had a team for 30 years, but you haven’t missed much”. Bless her heart (it’s a Carolina thing). -

Bro, Belichick has 8 Super Bowl rings and is widely regarded as the GOAT. (You just used Super Bowl wins as your criteria, for the record). We don’t even have a COACH right now. Again, I’ve always rooted against that man but good lord…you’re telling me Bill Belicheck is not an upgrade over Reich, Tabor, Wilks, Rivera, and Matt Rhule? -

I’m definitely not a Belichick fan, but comparing his coaching tree to what we’ve experienced lately? Carolina needs something extreme right now, and if it means bringing in a Harbaugh/Belichick/Bill O’Brien type for a couple years then so be it. -

Hire him as GM, let him choose his head coach. Plenty to choose from in his lineage. Certainly creates a barrier from the owner. -

When a company/team/organization is out of control… …it’s 100% on management 100% of the time. Is that statement even debatable? This organization and leadership group are not looking themselves in their own eyes. They are the problem.
