  1. I dunno, I saw this week where Silver stated publicly that they’re reconsidering the entire idea of the G League now because of NIL. If they could come to some sort of solution where the NBA and NIL could keep kids in college for 2 or 3+ years and they still get paid (at least what the G League was paying)... Seems like a win-win might be possible. If you’re 19-20 and projected borderline or late 1st round, everyone’s going to want you back in college for another year. And the NBA teams will start shying away from those “developmental” 20 year olds in favor of an Armando Bacot, for example. JMO
  2. All we gotta do is hit home runs on all 9 of our 6 picks and we’re good to go.
  3. And the G League wins, lol. I hope Mac makes an NBA roster eventually.
  4. Man, they really made these Rising Stars rosters even lol. Wemby B Mill Vasquez Jabari Smith Jr vs a bunch of G League guys. Mac McClung vs Wemby, should be exciting lol.
  5. It’s looking more and more like the Hornets got some promising steals for vets we mostly wanted gone anyways. Tre Mann Grant Williams Micic Seth Curry Bertans Two firsts We were borderline rock-bottom, now there’s some promising upside and I love it… Just win.
  6. I couldn’t watch tonight’s game but apparently Tre Mann tore it up in a win. If you haven’t watched this highlight clip I posted of him last week, I *highly* recommend it. Dude has ridiculous handles, and makes insane moves, especially towards the end of the video. Super high ceiling.
  7. Wilks seems destined to be the defensive version of Eric Bienemy. Something about their personalities just seem to clash with the players and/or coaches. The guy coaches a Top-3 defense to the Super Bowl, shut down the juggernaut Mahomes much of the game, and gets fired? Shanahan’s comments about it reference “not a great fit” and things of that nature (similar to reports about Bienemy). When you’ve been the boss, sometimes it’s hard to have a boss. My take at least.
  8. Agreed but those 3 must have had some sort of shared disagreement with those that remained (Tabor, Campen, Brown). Now they’re all gone, complete reset.
  9. Tepper fired the Head Coach, RB/Assistant HC, and QB Coach…the same day. …11 games into their first season. There was something going on besides Bryce’s performance. Why not the OC at that point?
  10. Still wanna know why Josh McCown was let go. Pretty sure I know the answer, but still wanna hear it made public.
  11. Might as well just let Siri, Alexa, and Google run our draft room this year. “Hey Google…who ya like at pick 33?”
  12. Most teams draft based on workouts, measurables, and game film. Panthers draft based on dinner etiquette, test scores, and heat maps. #KeepPounding
  13. I actually still really like Monk as a player, but yeah. Another miss.
  14. Used to see him ALL THE TIME hanging out at Southpark Mall by himself. Always had a backpack on, just chilling.
  15. Wait you don’t think MJ drafted well? All 1st rounders in the TOP-15 picks: Noah Vonleh Frank Kaminsky Adam Morrison Cody Zeller Bismack Biyombo MKG James Bouknight (I’ll throw Kwame Brown in there too at WAS) I know the NBA draft is tough, but that’s a really high bust rate for picks that high.
  16. To me, it’s more important that we upgrade our backup QB with a higher-end vet. Bring in Minshew, Tyrod, or Brissett to both mentor Bryce and also win us some games if we need them. Bryce should not be deemed “unbenchable” this year if we have a chance to win a game and he’s struggling or hurt.
  17. Never followed him, but Tre Mann’s highlights are VERY impressive. He was just buried on OKC’s depth chart, but looks to be a promising young asset at PG. #18 overall a couple years ago, former 5-star McDonalds AA and Jordan AA. Dude’s hesi game is nasty. Tre Mann highlights
  18. Miller is a stud. We just offloaded Terry, Hayward, and PJ. Got back two 1sts, two 2nds, a few good talents (Curry, Grant W), and two (I’m assuming) huge contract buyouts ie future Cap Space. Franchise reset, had to happen, I’m glad.
  19. APNEWS: CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Charlotte Hornets are sending often-injured small forward Gordon Hayward to the Oklahoma City Thunder for guard Tre Mann, forward Davis Bertans, point guard Vasilije Micic and second-round draft picks in 2024 and 2025, according to a person familiar with the situation. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Thursday because the deal had not yet been approved by the league. Also, I just saw that Bertans is making $17mil a year meaning he and Lowry are taking up almost $50mil/yr. Hopefully this means that some Kupchick salary cap wizardry is forthcoming.
  20. Didn’t realize Grant Williams is from Charlotte (Providence Day HS) and could have gone to Harvard or Yale but chose Tennessee basketball instead. Two-Time SEC Player of the Year. 25 years old and VP of the NBPA. On paper, I love it. You’d think he’d be an immediate starter even if everyone was healthy, right? Melo B Miller Grant Williams Miles Mark
  21. WR1 has become the new QB1. You have to draft them and play them on their rookie deals for 4/5 years. Once they’re up for their second contract, they’re replaceable. WR is the sexy position in high school and college, NFL mindset needs to adapt.
  22. Burns for a 1st this year, a 2nd next year, and EDGE David Ojabo? Yes please.
