There are reasons Bieniemy has never got a HC job and never will (even interim with Washington). Players don’t like playing for him.
-
Commanders fans have not given up on Sam Howell. Washington gave up on their ownership 20 years ago, they actually have some hope right now. (Though Rivera will be gone soon.) Sadly, the Panthers are now about 10 years behind the Washington franchise. Our fanbase is lost.
-
It was obvious he was an up and coming talent in a bad situation. HC on the hot seat, young unproven OC is your first one to go. He’s gonna be good, we should bring him back before someone else wises up. (He won’t come back to this mess)
-
He kept control of Antonio Brown. Something that Bill Belichick, Jon Gruden, Mike Mayock, Bruce Arians, and Tom Brady couldn’t do. Mike Tomlin is one of the greatest ever. I don’t love the Steelers but I’d like to see him retire as a Steeler.
-
I also love that the hot topic for the late game is how the Bills offense is suddenly thriving with Joe Brady at OC. Bills fans are worried a team might poach him this offseason. The list of players and coaches that “suck” at Carolina and then excel elsewhere is nauseating. And I still root for every one of them.

“But he only wins 9 games most years.” We’d win the South or Wildcard most years with 9 wins. Ron won it with 7 wins in 2014. In 9 years, Ron won nine games 3 (!) times and a bunch of horrible years mixed in. And that was with Cam Newton.

Crazy that the Steelers are about to be 8-7 with a third string QB in a down year. No losing seasons in 15+ years, and the Panthers fanbase would pass on that HOF head coach. (I doubt he’s going anywhere though)

REPORT: Ben Johnson wants $15 million per year
HardcoreHokie replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Okay correction, you’re correct, I looked it up. Tepper is the 3rd richest owner in American Pro sports. Ballmer - Clippers (~ $110B) Walton - Broncos (~ $57B) Tepper - Panthers (~ $21B) Gilbert - Cavaliers (~ $18B) Jerry Jones is a distant (~ $13B) Cuban is ~ $6B I just want a quarter of one. -

The Broncos owners (multiple) are Walmart heirs and Musk no way lost $200B, he’s not even worth that. Just saying, 90th richest person in the world is insane rich. Like Michael Jordan isn’t in the Top-1000. -

It’s literally the only advantage he has. You can’t overpay for players, but you can overpay for experts. Get some f’ing experts and PAY them. -

David Tepper could buy Mark Cuban, Dan Snyder, and Robert Kraft. COMBINED. He's worth over $20B and it keeps going up every day. He’s a billionaire to billionaires, insane. He’s literally approaching Musk/Bezos space so I say spend it on our front office and coaching staff, let’s go… -

Over $20 Billion now. He’s currently the 90th richest person in THE WORLD. We’ve all been to PARTIES with 90 people and weren’t the richest in the ROOM. -

Well he gave Reich a huge deal too, and is still on the hook for that one for $12M the next three years. -

Also remember that Frank Reich will still be earning $12 million per year in ‘24, ‘25, and ‘26. Fired football coach is the best job on Earth. -
Why is it still a bad thing to call a QB a “game manager “??
HardcoreHokie replied to recceice's topic in Carolina Panthers
The opposite of a “Game Manager” is a “Gunslinger”. Prime Brett Favre or prime Kirk Cousins? -
This board scoffs at Mike Tomlin, Bill Belichick, and Jim Harbaugh as Head Coach candidates but wants Cam to be Team President.
-
Mike Tomlin has won at least 9 games in 13 of his 16 years, and the other three years were 8-8. The Carolina Panthers have won 9 games seven times in 29 years of existence. With multiple 1, 2, 4 win seasons. Some of y’all cray. We would be insanely fortunate to even sniff some of these coaches being rumored right now.
-
Let’s add Pete Carroll to the list of candidates that are far too accomplished and washed up to coach this glorious franchise.

We dump Snooki and then turn our nose at Gisele because she’s “past her prime”. I love this forum.

Come on, we are the Panthers. It’s the greatest coaching opportunity of all-time. We can’t lower our standards for the GOAT coach or other future Hall of Famers. Our next hire has to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Matt Rhule, Frank Reich, and Chris Tabor. It’s clearly prime Vince Lombardi or bust.

The Unofficial GM/HC candidate list

Mike Tomlin on the hot seat, Panthers and Commanders interested -
Nothing makes sense anymore, I want Chris Tabor as HC for the Patriots or Commanders next year.
-
Our hotshot OC Brown and hotshot DC Evero got bypassed for Interim HC for a Special Teams coach. I feel like that means something and possibly burned some bridges.
