Tepper can make any staff member by far the highest paid in the league. His money, not ours. It’s the only way you can use extreme wealth as an advantage in the NFL. Can’t with the salary cap, but you can overpay for a GM and coach.

I hope this search team interviews GM/HC candidates together, like as package deals. Like the GM of the Lions and Ben Johnson looks good to me. Throw all the money in the world at the front office, scouting department, and coaching staffs.

Man, I forgot how big of a mess the Texans were a few years ago. If you want a sliver of hope, go back and read some articles about former Texans interim GM and then Executive Vice President Jack Easterby. Remember, the Texans at one point had D-Hop and Deshaun and were a mess on the field, in the news, and in the front office. Sound familiar? They got rid of Easterby and brought in current GM Nick Caserio in 2021 and now look at them. Caserio has said he’s not returning to his former team the Patriots, FWIW. So as big of a mess as the Panthers are right now, it can be done in short order.

Watching this again is so sad in retrospect. Why is the owner so involved in the Draft Room? First, he sits in between Fitt and Reich and Nicole is doing most of the talking. He calls every drafted player immediately and tells them some great story. ”Steve Smith told me to draft you, Jonathan Mingo” “Bryce, remember that time we met and I said we were gonna draft a QB?” Dude this is not what an owner is supposed to do AT ALL. Iowa is one of the more overrated teams in a long time. You can’t score 0 points three times (91-0 against those 3 ranked teams), average 11 PPG the meat of your season, and be ranked #17. B1G is so overrated.

Like go buy an island, buy whatever friends you want, and live your greatest life, never encountering another human you don’t want to. You’re running your own world.
