  1. These preseason takes are getting out of hand so figured let's talk about the not Bryce rookies. Mingo - looks legit out there. He didn't do Bryce a favor by stopping on that beautiful side arm throw, but that'll come with reps and chemistry. Dude is THICK, expect many DJ Moore type bounce off corners and get 4 more yards plays Zavala - watched all his snaps. Dude held his own in his very first NFL action with basically no training camp and coming off of an injury. Not gonna jump the gun, but if he can take a starting spot, we have guard locked down when Corbett is back and Brady can move to the swing tackle or backup G. He's got a way to go but I'm pretty happy. DJ - Think he had 1 tackle. Didn't see anything that really stood out but he wasn't getting bullied around and was setting the edge in the run. That's important in this scheme and he seems to excel at it even though it doesn't necessarily pop on the stats sheet. Already looking better than YGM tbh, getting more excited about this pick... if he can develop a halfway decent pass rush dude will be a very solid 3rd round pick. Jammie - honestly didn't watch him or remember him much, but that's not a bad thing for a secondary guy. His PFF grade was 80.3 for what it's worth not rookie honorable mention: Kobe Jones - I'm a msu grad so bias but I think this dude makes the roster. He is definitely better than YGM and has a great work ethic. Think he has a really good shot. Side note: Is Bumper Pool still on the team? I don't remember hearing his name the past 2 games.
  2. Honestly that looks mental which makes me feel better. Think he was trying to pickup the OLB (not sure why). That can get cleaned up, he wasn’t just straight up beat 1 on 1
  3. Zero concerns on tackle, those 2 are proven 1 preseason game means nothing for them. Now the swing tackle/backup is an issue but hopefully they never see the field
  4. They say he’s ahead of schedule but I’m still thinking week 6-8ish. Texans game after the bye makes sense
  5. What does the market look like for guards? I’d be fine overpaying for one at this point. You’ve got to protect Bryce at all costs as he gets acclimated to the NFL
  6. Unfortunate but at least we have his clone in Shi already on the roster. there was a chance Byrd didnt make the roster anyway
  7. Overpay for another guard and roll with our current RBs
  8. 100%. TMJ will be a solid 2 in this league. Here or somewhere else. I do think Bryce will make him shine
  9. I’d rather go overpay for a guard somewhere then add a RB. But in a vacuum I don’t think Chubba would be the odd one out, if you got Hunt I think you’d go Sanders, Hunt, Chubba. blacksheer is decent but his value is being a ST guy as well, which we should be able to replace on the roster
  10. Outside of Norwell is there anyone at guard out there worth overpaying for? I’d think with paying our QB nothing it would definitely be worth to overpay big time on the OL for the next 2 years
  11. It honestly reminded me of exactly what we saw here the past 3 years. Not good QB play and DJ bailing them out by taking a screen 60 yards to the house. I'm so glad we got Bryce (and would do it every time), but DJ did not get enough credit here, dude is an elite WR
  12. Fields is terrible outside of running highlights. Bears will finish 3rd
  13. Unreal people were praising the Texans for that. One of the dumbest trades I can remember… even if Will Anderson becomes a pro bowler you have to protect your rookie QB first
  14. I wanna see Stroud do well but when the draft debates were happening I always said he would not be a top 15 pick if he played in the SEC and didn’t have MHJ. You can just see it, he doesn’t have IT when not surrounded by the best talent in the country. Bryce had soooo much less around him last year and played faster defenses every week
  15. Yeah there's no way they're passing up over dramatized shots of garret wilson making a slow mo catch in the pouring rain
  16. I gotta imagine this was an HBO call and they don't have much say on it
  17. if the past 20 years of the NFL has taught me anything, it is to do the exact opposite of the Jets. Good on our coaching staff to follow the football laws of nature
  18. Apparently I’m the only one who caught what you did… made me laugh. Kudos
  19. Nobody really thought that except for people who look only at sacks lol DB has looked the part since 6 games into his rookie season
  20. Maybe in some very cherry picked stats. Justin Tucker IS the most accurate. Carlson has gotta be up there and maybe Yoo as well.
  21. Brady is a starting LG? That doesn't make any sense unless Zavala is cracking the lineup. I know you COULD bump your LG out to one of the tackle spots and then put Zavala in, but I don't think they do that when they could put in a true (albeit bad) tackle and leave the rest of the line in their natural spots.
  22. Who would be the swing tackle? I just don't see it
  23. We need a swing tackle bad. Was here last year, good locker room guy, knows the players (Icky). Very hard to find a quality backup tackle in this league, he was honestly the best available
  24. fellas, is it California of you to walk with your gf in public
