  1. In my scenario this is a draft day decision. Like within the 10 minutes when you know. We hold all the leverage. the other situation is we are 100% fine with Stroud or Young and don’t care which we get (don’t think this is realistic)
  2. Wow I’ve never seen this strategy. This is the kind of stuff that could make Fitt a genius or a bum without a job. that being said if we somehow knew Texans wants young/stroud and we wanted the other and could pull that I’d be all for it
  3. Youre high if you think Tepper has more say on this than Reich. any of those top 4 guys sell tickets this upcoming season tepper doesn’t care. Reich is making this pick
  4. literally whoever lol what do you mean FO can go overpay Lazard or JuJu or whoever and pair them with TMJ, Shi, and whoever we draft at #39. Rock solid OL >>>> superstar WR (in the context of a rookie QB)
  5. Yes they are, you just overpay for them in FA which is most likely what we will do until we draft another #1 or someone emerges
  6. all that cap space you saw freed up is 100% going to Boze and a FA WR. My guess is Theilen and whoever we draft at #39
  7. If we get a rookie QB I would.
  8. Good. I’d love to have him but for $45M a year id rather our 2 firsts go to moving up for CJ or Bryce
  9. To be fair you’re trading the picks for a higher pick which by your definition is a crapshoot. Also Armanti was like pick 80
  10. What happens when we win 7 games with Sam and are picking 11 next year and the top 2 in the draft need a QB and aren't trading out?
  11. Great in theory but draft chart goes out the window when you have multiple teams trying to get there to get a franchise QB. I think the absolute floor for #3 is #9, #39, 2024 1st
  12. I would gladly take Daniel Jones…. For $15M a year to be our vet guy while AR15 develops behind him. $40M+? Hard pass
  13. why not just unlock the original thread where OP was correct and had it first? sketchy... @Mr. Scot
  14. I think this is the way. You have to trust someone falls to 9, which history tells us will happen. Worst case imo is trading up to 5 to take AR or Levis when there is an 80% chance one of those guys will be there at 9 anyway.
  15. honestly, i'd rather that happen. this is one of those years where we will look back in 4 years and the best QB will be the last one drafted of the big 4. Outside of can't miss #1 guys like TLaw, Burrow, Cam, it always goes down that way with QBs.
  16. Zero chance 9 and 39 gets you there when it’s potentially the #2 QB you’re bidding for. Maybe 9 and next year first but I still think you’ll have to toss something else in.
  17. What? He literally said yesterday he wants 35M. That’s like the most reasonable contract out there for a proven consistent starter you’ll find
  18. I'd rather have Richardson at 9 then Stroud/Young at 1 with what it will take. However if things get crazy and Stroud/Young is still there at 5 I think you have to go get him. I think the pre draft is always QB crazy and we know the Colts are stupid so I could see 1) Jalen Carter - Bears: stay put after all the trade back talk and stick to their roots and go defense 2) Young - Texans: Nothing to be said here, best QB in the draft as of right now. 3) Will Anderson Jr. - Cardinals: New defensive head coach and the best player in the draft, prob a no brainer if he's there. Dark horse - Quentin Johnston cause Kyler throws a fit for a new WR 4) Levis - Colts: Do their thing and take the guy who got hot throwing in shorts and t shirts at pro day 5) Stroud - Panthers: First trade of the day, give up one of our 2nds this year, 9 this year, 1st next year and 3rd next year. Alternative - Colts go Stroud and we do the same to move up for Levis (where at that point I'd rather stay at 9 for AR)
  19. Agree. If Reich ends up being the guy, Carr would be our Alex Smith. 3 years or so to right the ship and then we make a big reach for a QB down the road.
