Prob will get poo’d for this but trying to think outside the box and what type of QB works this offense. Canales has done really well with highly drafted QBs that had all the physical tools but didn’t pan out at their first stop. The Giants are done with Jones after this year, think they can get out of his 4 year contract and save $20M by cutting him. Our offensive line and weapons are better than the Giants and he hasn’t looked awful this year in that environment. Giants have the worst OL in the league. Outside of the Vikings game (who I think is the best D in the league this year) he has looked pretty decent with the awful OL and lack of weapons. He can make every throw look easy, runs like a deer if he gets a lane, and has shown some crazy flashes, just hasn’t been consistent and can lack accuracy which I feel is augmented by the awful line. Wonder if that’s the kind of guy Canales would go for and want. Could also be a nice stop gap for 2 years if we draft a project QB this year. He got his one big payday, gotta imagine we could get him on a similar to what Vikings did with Darnold at $10M per. Something like 2 years $25M.

I like Wallace at MLB I think we already have ours for the foreseeable future. He just needs reps. A young complete DE def is a necessity tho

Well I don’t think this is a performance Andy thing at all. It just tells me we weren’t putting out fluff pieces about Bryce, we were serious about letting him sit and learn and getting another shot down the road. andy is def the starter still, this is just a blowout so get your QB out the game

Next game will be telling. Canales has looked good on offense each week even when Bryce wasn’t executing the plays were there. First drive today looked good then Bears adapted. Let’s see if Canales can adapt

Not really. Bryce’s contract is a tiny fraction of what Watson is getting. If we go QB in draft and happen to luck into the right guy, problem solved.

Depends how Dalton looks end of the year. If there’s 3 first round QBs just grab one doesn’t matter which it’s all luck anyway. If there’s no QBs with a first round grade and we decide to keep Dalton then trade back and rebuild the defense

Have we ever seen a team this decimated by injuries? These are just todays so tbd how long out but we have: Tremble, Moton, Corbett, XL, and Clowney JUST today. Jewel and Shaq last week. Thielien week before. Brown week 1. not sure I’ve ever seen anything like this

Canales didn’t take his coaching pills today but also Dalton looks to maybe get the Kyle Allen treatment too. Bears also have a really good defense. Prob best the just write this one off and get out of here without any more injuries

Shaq going down sucks for this year but think Wallace with a year experience is huge for next year. This defense will be fine building around Horn, Brown, and Wallace. High 1st we prob use on DE and Morgan work some magic to fill the rest
