He really did not look calm or comfortable at the beginning. Let’s hope it was first game jitters and we see the 2nd quarter version moving forward. Also dear god, start Brady. He looked better than anyone not named Moton
-
I do think the playbook seriously opens up with CMC in there + regular season. Coaches aren’t dumb, they know the OL is weak and will scheme for it
-
Dudes a stud. I can’t believe we got him where we did
-
100% agree. I thought he looked really good moving in the pocket sans 2 plays I saw. Took what the D gave him, and hit on the intermediate throws when they counted, minus the one behind Robby. If the OL can gel (or we get Brady and Brown in there and they’re the answer) Sam can do some damage here.
-
Agree. It’s a huge issue if we can’t keep him clean, but I did not expect to see 2 scores and no turnovers in his half of playing time. And yes 1 probably should’ve been picked but this is better than I expected
-
Taking a step back and not breaking down each throw 1 by 1, Sam has looked good. Not great, but good. Yes it’s second string, but for his first real game action with us I’m pleasantly surprised. If we can keep him clean (and huge if) he’s going to get better as we go on. 8.5 yards per attempt with no turnovers… I’ll take it all day.

lmao drew what are you doing out there man -
Wow this is an amazing deal for both sides. I didn't think we'd get him to agree to anything less than 3, but this is perfect for us. Sets us up nicely to use that extra cap to extend Burns and DJ and when this contract is up we can lock up TJ if he is who we think he'll be. Excellent deal, great job Fitt
-
Fair enough, I thought he was pretty serviceable for his rookie year
-
How? He played all 16 games his rookie year then had to miss last year with a torn bicep.
-
Man we’re fugged at LT aren’t we? At this point I see no reason not to roll with Moton/Brady
-
Looks like Duane Brown isn't practicing in Seattle wanting another contract. I have zero clue if he's a free agent or just looking for an extension but man I wish we had that problem.
-
Why? Everything out of camp has been excellent after he shook of the rust and pads went on
-
I hope we go and get KJ Wright on a 2 year. He’d be an excellent stop gap until we draft someone 2022 or 23 and we have the cash to do it

Soccer star heart gives out during Euro’s on front of all fans
jb2288 replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Huddle Lounge
It resumed hours after the incident occurred after they initially suspended it. He was in stable condition at the hospital by the time it resumed. -
Sounds like the writer doesn't pay attention past the first round...?
-
Not really. known Jeffrey for years now, he had one bad incident (beating up a girl who was beating up his sister) before he started his college career. Was squeaky clean all 3 years at State, professors and coaches loved him, anyone on that staff would have told you when he left he was an absolute stand up guy. Seems Nixon's coaches gave bad feedback on him... you couldn't find a single person on State's staff or academics that didn't like him.
-
Man these are the kind of picks I love. High risk/High reward in the LATER rounds. Not some no name school interior lineman in the second.
-
There’s no way. That doesn’t make sense, why? He’s dirt cheap even if it’s just for depth at this point. I also feel if anyone can figure out how to get him motivated, it’s Rhule. No I’m not expecting it, but how incredible would it be if he emerged as a legit tackle. I do think it’s close and he might be cut in final training camp round, but I can’t see it being in the first round.

QB's and WR's working out together this offseason
jb2288 replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wish it wasn't so edited, I think I saw Sam once in that vid total. That being said I'm stoked those guys are working out together here in May. I hope Sam, DJ, Robby, CMC, and Terrace have 3000 reps by training camp -
Truth About Day 1 and Day 2 of the Draft
jb2288 replied to Biggdaddi1022's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah that’s what I’m saying. It’s tough knowing they offered next years first plus some and we turned it down. Not saying we made the wrong choice, who knows but that Chicago 1st next year could potentially be Sam Howell if darnold ends up not working out… they should be pretty bad this year -

Yeah I get Horn is the #1 on our board but it’s hard to know Chicago offered us next years 1st. That’ll be a top 8 pick next year
