  1. prob not the right things to focus on rn, but i do want to know, do we get any sort of draft capital for hiring a Rooney rule candidate?
  2. I wish we at least interviewed the others a second time. It does feel like jumping the gun
  3. sorry thread already going that i missed, mods plz delete im stupid
  4. https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/news/panthers-to-hire-dave-canales-as-head-coach
  5. Though out anything associated with Tom Brady and what is that number? Just do last 10 years when the league dramatically shifted to a pass first and what is that number? I have no idea id honestly be interested in what it looks like
  6. I would really like this hire but in the same way I really liked the Reich hire last year and I just don’t know if Tepper will go the just fired HC route twice. I will say tho Vrabel is a much better candidate than Reich ever was.
  7. I believe most of us are judging him based on the roster he helped assemble for our 2-15 season we just wrapped up.
  8. I loved the Fitt hire. Hate this one. I hope you’re right lol
  9. Wow… this is… mind boggling. My only hope is there is a ton more info internally where Dan showed where he vouched for said players that Fitt passed on who were successful elsewhere. Idc that Dan came to huddle tailgates and used to play here, get the best man for the job. Maybe he is, and I’ll do my best to trust it but being an internal promote does not get me feeling warm and fuzzy about this at all. Will sit back, shut up, and hope he proves me wrong.
  10. idk how technical or in the weeds these hc interview get, but it would be super interesting if Canales broke down why Baker did not work here and what he did in Tampa to make him effective. I think that would go a long way with Tepp
  11. Any QB since 2017 at that. No QB stands a chance here, hopefully we fix that this offseason
  12. Man I’d be thrilled with either of these guys. Baker and Goff both were presumed to be on the decline when they got to their respective teams and they have absolutely gotten the most out of them.
  13. We should easily get one of these three too with BB and Harbaugh most likely taking up two spots. I feel good rn
  14. Without a doubt, 100%, no questions asked, Tepper is the worst part of this job. Will be the biggest hurdle by far
  15. Yeah I'm not gonna lie and say we have an amazing opening.... any coach has work cut out for him here. but it definitely is not as bad some like to make it out.
  16. Not sure if you lack all reading comprehension, blinded by Bryce hate, trolling, or a combo of all 3.
  17. Not sure why people say this, it isn't true. Young defense with a star DL and star CB (when healthy) + a ton of cap space + super cheap QB who is a wild card and you aren't tied to if it doesn't work out. Each team has different things going for them (and against them), these are ours.
  18. Brady is going to be a hot coaching name next off season. I think he will do really well too, Rhule screwed him here
  19. Idk seems pretty obvious we are not targeting a long tenured retread. Not saying it’s the right move but seems we have a plan and the advisory board is driving that and not wavering from it.
  20. The bar is so low after Frank that I’m sold
  21. I can’t watch the videos for some reason, but my question is. How does his philosophy rank against Franks? It seems very different just hearing about motion, iso, getting your guys in space vs just sitting in shotgun and being stationary pre snap
  22. he wont. Tepper goes extremes. College coach who never has sniffed the NFL to retread NFL coach who has been around for 30 years. I'm fully expecting a WNBA assistant coach to get the job
  23. Could be a blessing in disguise. Whoever Tepper wants to hire #1 is going to be the wrong guy based on track record. Pushing down to his 3rd or 4th option could be good
