  1. I think he makes the team. One other thing I forgot to mention, Mike Leach passed away Dec 2022 and we promoted our DC to HC much before he was ready. Our defense took a massive step back because of this, we promoted our LB coach to DC and he also was not ready. The entire defense was a disaster last year due to external factors, if he didn’t get hurt 2022 and had continuity in 2023, legit believe he could have been a 3rd round guy. That’s a ton of ifs, but that’s what 6th round picks are for
  2. I've watched every snap this guy has played past 4 years. He was nowhere near the top rated DL we brought in over the years, but consistently did his part. He was prime for a breakout year in 2022 but an injury really derailed him for about an entire year and he never got the momentum back. Morgan must think we can help him take the next step. 10 pounds smaller than D Brown probably, same height. Really solid run stopper. Should be able to be a rotational guy for us, probably won't be on the field much on 3rd and long
  3. He’s got all year unless we take Rattler here in a couple hours.
  4. He’ll be ready but we will ease him in just because he’s a rookie. Imagine he’s RB1 around week 6. XL doesn’t really matter if he is named starter or not, he will get a ton of playing time
  5. Corbett has had one bad year in his whole career and unsurprisingly so did every other OL under whatever tf we were doing last year on offense. Agree the injury is a concern. You gotta hope he thrives at C under the new blocking scheme we’re running this year.
  6. I wouldn’t say it’s a weakness, he’s an adequate route runner. He def isn’t DJ level, but adequate. His biggest weakness imo is can he beat getting jammed at the line in the NFL and make those contested catches he could in college against bigger stronger corners
  7. Is there no way to trade the contract? My thought was always just let some team have him for free if they agree to take on a few mil of the contract
  8. Luuuukkkkeeee Did kinda hope we'd take a late round flyer on him. One pick away. We're on the clock, Sanders?
  9. Great spot for him. Thought Baltimore would be on him too
  10. Welp apparently Hines Ward played his entire career without an ACL as well. TIL
  11. Wow, his career could be over. Reports say one knee no longer has an ACL (????) not even sure what that means but obviously a huge issue
  12. Another LB off the board before Wilson. Man his medicals must have come back horribly
  13. What teams say vs what teams actually do is very different. Luvu was the definition of a dawg and we didn't really try to keep him. Sanders is 10x the athlete Luvu could dream of being, but doesn't seem to have that "it" factor. They must think they can coach him up to be Shaq's replacement and help him make the leap. We will see
  14. Wow, Sanders and Wilson both still on the board. Other GMs also aren't really high on them, not just ours.
  15. interesting, literally every weakness is coaching related. I guess they feel he didn't have good development at uk and they can provide it. He is Shaq's replacement, so he won't play much this year anyway.
  16. hey at least we got a pick for him, instead of giving up a pick for him this time. we're slowly learning
  17. Meh, don't love it but drafted bout where his grade was.. mid 3rd to early 4th. Much rather would have gone C or Sanders but they obviously don't like him (other teams don't either)
  18. Come on dude. Breece Hall tore his ACL in October 2022 and rushed for 1000 yards the next season. Dalvin Cook tore his then ripped off like 4 1000 yard seasons or something.
  19. Yeah I can name 2 first rounders just this year who had ACL injuries in college. Theres probably more if I bothered to look. People just like to say whatever they feel and present it as some rule the NFL follows
  20. Whose rule is this? Because no GMs follow this
