Report: 49ers called Panthers about Teddy Bridgewater
PootieNunu replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Teddy -
That is the same face I make every time Bridgewater throws short of the sticks or the endzone.
-
We let the so called "football guys" decide last year and we ended up with Teddy Bridgewater. I think Tepper is just letting them know he is not going for that poo again. He wants an upper tier QB not some bench warming scrub we try to make into a starter.
-
Screw all of those options

Child injured by Britt Reid has permanent brain injuries

Exactly, this will be nothing more than a footnote on his wikipedia page. He will have another job in no time. -
McClain Insinuates Deshaun is Far-Fetched for Panthers

None of these guys really know what is going on. We will try to trade for Watson, but no one knows the outcome. According to these guys Watt had narrowed his search down to the Bills, Packers, or Titans. He went to the Cardinals. -

He lost his job with the chiefs, but he is not heading to the welfare line. I am very doubtful the legal system does too much to inconvenience him. -

Not much different, minimal jail time, probation, classes. Unless they were a repeat offender. -

Alcohol is still readily available to pickup at your nearest store and/or restaurant and then go driving about. I had 2 cousins die to a drunk driver, uncles die from alcoholism, but America has to have there booze ready at a moments notice. The worst part is he will get a slap on the wrist for his actions. He will still be living the best life while this girl and her parents have to deal with it everyday. -
He currently wants a 3 year deal so he can cash in again when the new money comes in, last year he wanted a 4 year deal. IF he stays in Dallas this season on the tag he will be looking for a 2 year deal next offseason. His agent said he wants 3 years 123 million. Dallas Cowboys: Brace yourselves, Dak Prescott may want a 3-year deal. The Dallas Cowboys are at a standstill in their negotiations with Dak Prescott. ... Dallas wanted a five-year that they could backload and Dak wanted a four-year deal that would get him back to free agency sooner.
-
That is a longshot, but probably the only way we even consider Dak.
-
Its not that you can just name 10 QBs that are better than him, he is not a top tier QB. He is in the lower tier but wants to be paid like the elite tier.
-
He is going to get his prove it on the tag with Dallas and will probably be on a new team in 2022.
-
I have to agree with this. Dak is not worth the type of contract he is going to receive. This is Kirk Cousins all over again. If we cant get Watson, lets see who we can draft. I know Teddy was bad but not bad enough to put Dak on some sort of pedestal.
-
If it was his own team would have signed him already. Guys like Mahomes and Watson got locked into deals early. Dallas is in the same situation the WFT was in with Kirk Cousins. He is good enough to win some games, but he is not going to take you all the way.
-
The Cowboys are going to tag him, lets not be dense.
-
I dont see how he does not get top money, if he is tagged I think the number is 37 million, thats pretty high up there. Thats his floor, hes not going to sign an extension for less.
-
I just cant see giving a fringe top 10 qb 41mil per coming off a major injury, along with losing 2 first round picks.

Dak is not worth the cap number he will command. He wants 123million over 3 years deal. He is not worth that, much less when you consider adding in picks to acquire him, no thanks.

Kiper Mock 2.0: Mac Jones to Panthers at #8.
PootieNunu replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jones played in the semi-pro league with 8 of the top 100 prospects in this draft. He will not have that same cushion in the NFL. -
Watt and Watson are two different situations. JJ was probably getting released whether he asked for it or not. He got out in front of it to save face.

Love him or hate him....he's spot on. Steve Smith

IDK some people around here think Boston is actually a good player. I am not one of those people. -
Not worth it to draft a qb in the first round
PootieNunu replied to Sheldonyoung's topic in Carolina Panthers
The bucs did not roll the dice, they added a competent QB to an already stacked roster. Then that QB got all his cronies to sign as well. No option is a 100% guaranteed to get you a super bowl. We could trade for any QB in the league it does not matter. Also there are more late round HOF qb's because that include at least 6 rounds compared to 1 round. Whatever we do it will be a risk, but we have to take it. -
So the top guys are trying to keep their millions and the guys on minimum deals will get even less, great idea.
