The bottom line is we are among the 5 youngest teams in the league. There is no way we are going to overcome injuries to our starting RB, LG, MLB, CB, SS, while also missing other guys like hartsfield, YGM, Erving at times. We are not built for all these injuries and there is no way we could be in the 2nd year of a rebuild.

Bridgewater(2020) vs. Darnold(2021) through 6 games.

Burrow got destroyed last year and the Bengals are lucky he has returned to form. Herbert is an outlier. Neither of them had Joe Brady as their OC -
Let's just go on record right now. Who you picking Shula or Brady

It has to be Shula right now and that is terrible to say. Brady has done absolutely nothing and it looks like he has not learned anything. -

I just had this same conversation last night, not in the mood. Fine lets waste a 1st on a QB that is doomed before he is ever drafted. -

Peas go in a pod, just saying. Once you guys finally accept that no QB is going to be consistent behind this OL the better. We have not used a 1st round pick on the OL since 2008, it is well past time, IDC if we spend the next 2 1sts on OL, this poo is beyond old. -
That's not a historic amount of pressure that's basically the Vikings game level of pressure. Im not comparing them, once again you are missing the point, other things need to change besides the QB. We do not have a franchise savior ready to walk in and put the offense on his back. If we go into this offseason and the only thing we change on offense is the QB again, we have lost.

Kansas City's offense failed to score a touchdown in Super Bowl LV, largely due to an offensive line that allowed Patrick Mahomes to be pressured on 29 of 56 dropbacks -- the most for any quarterback in the Super Bowl era. Patrick Mahomes, as a result, was constantly on the run and ended up completing just 26-of-49 passes for 270 yards, with two interceptions. No QB is doing anything with that kind of OL play, even the best in the league according to most people. Pat easily wins that Philly game for us though even though Darnold was under a historic amount of pressure, the same kind of pressure that Pat faced in the super bowl and could not even score a TD.

He made it there with an OL, his guys got hurt right before the super bowl, if they get hurt before the playoffs start they dont make the super bowl, its that simple. You are not winning many games in this league with this OL. We do not have the ammunition to trade for any of these so called franchise saviors anyway. A rookie QB will be ruined playing with this OL.

So all of these guys produce at a high level consistently in this offense. Pat poo the bed in the super bowl because of constant pressure but he will thrive here behind the worst OL in the league. I say maybe Allen, Jackson, Murray, and Rodgers. Im not sure any of them are consistently great with instant pressure from the interior OL, we seen Brady lose 2 super bowls because of that.

Name more than 5 QBs who could constantly produce at a high level in this offense as it is currently constructed without CMC. Serious answers only. Its not even about Darnold at this point. We do not have a top 5 QB and we are unlikely to have one anytime soon. Other issues need to be fixed before we hop back on the QB carousel, none of the guys that are going to be available to us are going to fare any better than Sam unless things change.

Rhule looks more upset about that dropping that pass than Robby has during any of his drops.

Im not saying he is perfect either but I have noticed this for years with our WRs. Guys around the league fight for balls and we act like we dont care if we catch the ball, they INT it or anything. The guys are like fug it if it does not hit me perfectly im not fooling with it and I might just drop it even if it does hit me perfectly, fug it.

No more retreads or reclamation projects at QB

Im just worried if we do draft a rookie QB that our OL will remain basically the same. -
Yeah just like we had our "best practice" last week. Stop talking and be about that action boss.

None of those guys are coming here, We are either drafting a guy or rolling with Sam another year. We could not even get Stafford, what makes you think QBs above his level would want to come here and play with this shitshow of an OL and amateur hour coaching. -

Stafford made an easy decision. Rams or Panthers. Rams have a real OL and a real play caller Panthers have turnstiles and the boy doofus. McVay vs Brady is no contest. Hell he made Jared Goff look serviceable.
