And people still want to trade for him just because he is not Sam. Baker in Carolina would throw less than 20 TD passes and 10 or more ints. Lets see what the rookie has, fug these leftovers.
-
I have not seen anyone try to break the bank to resign Cam. He can be had for cheap and is just as good of an option as Sam or Baker, they both suck. Plus our OL is built for a power running game.
-
We may have a chance to apply next season if Fitt is dumb enough to trade for thus dud. Huddle for 2023 gm, all moves are decided by polls.
-
You missed the major point of the post that Baker is not much better than Sam. It's not a big enough upgrade to justify trading for him. I get it you love Baker because you don't really realize that football is a team sport and Baker was in a great situation in Cleveland.
-
It is really going to take us trading for this bum for people to realize he is not much better than Darnold, he was just in a better situation. The biggest difference is Sam is a nice guy and Baker is a douche bag.
-
It would be as entertaining as watching Teddy Bridgewater or Sam Darnold try to play QB.
-
Neither is Baker, but one of these guys does not cost 18m and draft capitol. We need to see our rookie before the next draft, Period.
-
He is below Kirk for me, Kirk consistently puts up top 10 QB stats, Baker is an every other year type of guy. I would rather avoid the headache altogether. It is a one year rental for Baker which would probably lead to a stupid decision to extend him. I would like to know what Corral has before next years draft.
-
Kitchens was only there because Mayfield wanted him. That browns team had very few holes outside of needing consistent QB play. That is why they traded away so much for a QB with major character concerns and handed him a boatload of guaranteed $. If the Browns did not think they were ready to compete for a super bowl with a good QB, they dont make that trade. If Baker is so great, why is he sitting in Cleveland with no one willing to take him to be their starter? At his point he could be had for a late round pick as long as the team is paying his 18m salary, that is a huge bargain for a legit starting QB, yet he is still in Cleveland? Yea..... Dont forget Bakers first choice was the Colts, they said thanks but no thanks and took an old ass Matt puddle Ryan
-
Yes they do. OR how many commercials a guy has been in. Having 15 TV commercials does not make you a good QB.
-
I thought we should have built the OL. I was dreaming about that since Nate Chandler and Byron Bell protecting Cam.
-
That guy was talking about drafting Fields with our 1 last year after trading for Darnold.
-
This would be the fuging worse case scenario. We dont need baker at all, much less on a long term deal. He does not have the talent to carry a middling team to the playoffs, his browns team was loaded with talent.
-
His roster and coaching was also significantly better in Cleveland. He is not bringing the rest of his team with him, all we get is Baker. This is a guy whose team decided to trade away the farm to replace him after picking him #1 overall, he is damaged goods. I trust his own teams evaluation of him over some random guys on the internet. I will double down, if we trade for baker he does not break 20 td passes and he throws for double digit ints.
-
You think more highly of him than I do. I dont think Baker is anywhere near good enough to take this HC to the post-season. His browns team was loaded with super bowl quality talent, all they needed was a real QB.
-
Yea that would be great, so instead of wasting our 2nd round pick, 4th rounder, and 6th rounder on a QB last season, we could have wasted our first on a QB who was just as shitty last season. That is not good team building. Just to recap a 1st,2nd,4th,and 6th and still no answer at QB.....yea thanks but no thanks.
-
Sure it does it keeps us on our current trajectory of a new trash ass, throw away, left-over QB every season. Start Corral and forget about these bums like Jimmy Generic and Baker Mayfield.
-
I dont understand how these guys that make millions to do their job think Baker Mayfield is worth trading for. He was the obvious weak link on a stacked browns roster. He is a huge prick. His teammates do not care for him. We do not need this diva in Carolina. fuging Stupidity.
-
I dont dislike either of them, just expecting more, especially from Burns. We all thought Burns could be one of the top pass rushers in the league, but his season high is 9 sacks 2 years in a row. He also has problems stopping the run. The truly elite guys are getting 15+ and stopping the run.
-
They both suck. You dont trade away your draft for several years to get rid of a guy that is any good. I hope we have learned from our retread mistakes and just move on with what we have.

Robby or Robbie Anderson no show OTA’s

9m dead cap, we have an out next year, no way he plays for us next season on a 21m cap hit. -

We cant really cut him till next season, he has a 20m dead cap if cut this season. fug him though, no reason he should not be at OTAs, he is a lesser player getting paid like a superstar because of where he played college ball. He should be at all team activities. -
A contender for what? A wild card playoff exit? The whole point of drafting rookie QBs is to build around their low salary until you have to pay them.
-
Or he could become just an ok QB not top 10 or anything and then act like a little bitch in year 3 and sit out for a new contract. Murray is setting the example, hopefully it fails, fug this clown.
