Why do you guys have to drag up stupid ideas to make keeping Burns look good? Thats how you know it was an idiotic decision to turn that down. When you have to bring up insane hypotheticals to justify it. I still gave you a pie because I want to see Smith and Barno play as well.
-
Yea leading us straight to 5 fuging wins a season...... Some of these guys act like Burns is TJ Watt. Burns has minimal impact on the game, other than when the other team decides to go power run to his side, then you definitely notice him. I liked Burns a lot coming out but he never developed, he is still the same. He should be a dark horse DPOY candidate now, instead he is just a pass rush guy who whiffs on a lot of sacks and gives up big plays in the run game.
-
What good is Burns now when we arent winning poo and we are about to have to pay him the big bucks, take a step back, clear your head and use common sense bro. We arent winning poo before we get to use those picks anyway, Burns is garbage as an every down DE. What is fuging insane is getting so attached to these players that you make up in your mind that they are beter than what they actually are. Burns had tons of potential, but he never lived up to it, he is still the same guy he was his rookie year. My god you guys get too attached to guys. If it was up to most of you we would still have CMC instead of the 49ers entire draft.

That kind of deal is something you give up for a top flight DE like myles garrett, not fuging Brian Burns. That deal should have been done immediately and Fitt should have been holding back the laughter until the call ended. Two 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick for a 8.5 sacks a year guy who cant stop the run. I just dont know how anyone can be that dumb, maybe there were conditional picks or something, idk. Something doesnt add up though.
-
You wouldnt spend 3 picks in the draft to get 8.5 sacks a year and get abused in the run game?? Your not team building right bro.....Dont forget he does a cool spidey thing....
-
Or you can keep middling guys and pay them like they are at the top of their position. IDC what you say in no world do you turn down 2 1sts and a 2nd for Brian "gets bullied in the run game" Burns. Im not that sore about hanging on to Dj, but SpiderBurns should have been gone. Its just completely stupid, he is not going to get any better than he is now, the dude has had years. He should be a 12-15 sacks guy and shut down the run if we are keeping him over 2 1sts and a second, end of story. There is no rationale for keeping Burns when we could have had that for him. IDC what dumbass analogy you drag up. Also the Jets are 6-3 and just beat the Bills yesterday with no QB, they wont be picking top 10 this season

Justin Fields 61 yard rushing touchdown
PootieNunu replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Stop with this bullshit false narrative. On Tuesday, Seth Walder, ESPN’s analytics writer, released data illustrating that Fields’ high sack rate is more on him than the offensive line according to ESPN’s pass rush win block win rate metric. As a team, the Bears rank second in team pass block win rate at 68 percent after six weeks, trailing the Browns (73 percent) and just ahead of the Ravens and Chiefs (both at 67 percent). -
Keep being dense. Even if the picks were in 2035/36 Burns isnt worth 2 firsts. We feature him on our D like he is a all pro type player when he is just a pass rush specialist. Miami had a fire sale a few years back and now they are 6-3 and look loads better than our trash ass team. They got rid of their starting LT and Minkah. Which was probably their best 2 players. We just keep doing Panther things. No thanks to your two 1sts and a 2nd, we will keep our 8-9 sacks a season, thanks. Plus the Rams are sitting at 3-5 stafford looks like he is trending downward they will be looking for a QB and those picks could be pretty nice picks. They just lost to a team we beat easily.
-
Its an easy choice, not like we could win if we wanted to anyway. There are no consequences for losing out this season as everyone on the coaching staff needs to go like yesterday. We also need to clear out all of the Temple/Baylor players. We need to see guys on the field that have not gotten playtime to see what they have. Stop trotting out these guys when we already know what they can do( and its not much) .
-
You same guys will be wishing we had those first round picks in 2024/25 when we are paying burns 20m a year and he is still only getting 8-9 sacks and getting abused in the run game.
-
Explain what keeping burns has done for us? We now have the right to give him a mega contract that he is not going to be worth. On a winning team Burns is only in on clear passing downs, he cannot stop the run, why is that so hard to see? He is only a pass rusher and he isnt even a top 5 guy at doing that.
-
Shaq needs to go as well, he is too enamored with Wilks making the Panthers what the used to be plus we can save $ by cutting him, unless he is going to take a deep pay cut, he is over rated. Here you can find some fond memories of Shaq when he is gone watch the form on this at the 33 second mark......oh wait......

worst half in panther football history?
PootieNunu replied to DJ feed me moore's topic in Carolina Panthers
This, and then people acting like Bakers stats meant something? He entered the game at garbage time, even if he started the game we still get blown out because we are too light in the ass and cant stop the run. -
Are we still crying about this poo? The refs saved us from ourselves. Do any of you really want to see this team in the playoffs at 7-10? We will get curb stomped and then proceed to watch teams with better records than us pick before us in the draft. We just got blown out by a Bengals team missing their best player, gtfoh. fug that.
-
So to make Burns and Moore useful we need a real DE and a real #1 WR, gotcha. So we are paying them like superstars to be complimentary pieces, sounds about right for the Panthers.
-
Burns isnt too much more than a JAG, he cant stop the run to save his life and gets around 8-9 sacks a year, just a tick over average.
-
Tired of people slobbing down Fitts knob. The dude is fuging garbage, he only has the GM job here because no real Gm was going to be Rhules yes man. We need to clean house completely, we dont need any holdovers. Burns should have been gone for 2 1st and a 2nd. He is a pass rusher only and isnt very good at that, the dude has never had double digit sacks. I get he does a cool spider man celebration and you guys eat that poo up, but hes still just a pass rush specialist.

Who thinks Wilks and PJ are still the answers?
PootieNunu replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
Idk how this is a bad post according to some huddlers. Pj is practice squad fotter and Wilks is a DB coach, don't be ashamed and hide now because you thought they were more than that. -
The players are actually trying to win now and Wilks is capable of putting together a winning game plan. I want a franchise QB, but the players want to win now.

PJ got the highest PFF grade for a qb so far this year
PootieNunu replied to uncfan888's topic in Carolina Panthers
Elite QBs are made by coaching. All these guys have the talent or they would have never made it to the NFL. It is up to the coaching staffs to figure out what each guy does well and then formulate a game plan. LEt them learn a little at the time, thats what the greats do. Brady started off as a bonafide game manager, and turned into an Elite QB thanks to incredible coaching and his sheer determination. -

PootieNunu replied to uncfan888's topic in Carolina Panthers
Baker and Sam could do this in a limited fashion as well. The coaches actually had a good game plan vs Rhule shooting himself in the foot and thinking he is a genius. PJ played a good game, but I dont look for him to be that good on a weekly basis. A full week of practice with no Rhule/Snow definitely made a difference though. The idiots are gone. -
I dont see too many bright people saying he was the problem, but stop being butt hurt about a RB who is 2 years away from being useless. We were not wining poo with him now or at any point in his career, be happy we got some draft picks for him instead of getting nothing.
-
We didnt have a home run hitter with him, he is not the same guy he was a few years ago. We got the best possible outcome with CMC, we got something of value for him before his value is completely diminished, thats what smart teams do.
-
That was 50 years ago, the majority of the guys that played then would be PS fodder today.
