I was joking, I would love to have Lamar.
-
Allen was drafted 7th so we are one spot out, just like we were with Herbert. Drew Brees did not become a HoF'er on the team that drafted him. Lamar Jackson is a RB. I guess we have a shot at the other types but QB has a premium price on it now.
-
The more holes we fill the more it will cost to eventually get our QB because of our draft position. Qbs are not suddenly going to be cheaper next draft.
-
Why is it always some guy with like 20 posts wanting to keep Teddy, draft a off ball LB, a TE, or some other such nonsense? If we don't get a QB nothing else matters until next offseason its not that hard to understand.
-
Other QBs who played the way Teddy did were benched during the season. Nobody wants to see TB under center for us this season. If we are going to start a Teddy quality QB just roll with Grier or Walker.
-
He has been here 3 years, all forgettable seasons by all means for the team. If we make him a decent offer and he declines to go to a new team why should I give two shits what he does afterwards?
-
Not hostile just saying, if he jumps ship after we make a him a decent offer fug him. We are trying to get a QB.
-
When he goes to another team fug him, he has not done enough as a panther to deserve any type of team transfer loyalty.
-
If we miss out on the remaining QB of the top 4 If we like him fug it, take him in the 2nd or whatever, start him day 1. If he sucks we get a high pick for a QB, if he plays well enough we wont be in position to pick one. If he is not going to start this year don't take him, we already have a Grier.
-
Cams lowest passing TD season is 18, 23 total td for the season. That was in 2014. He only played 14 games and had less weapons than Teddy had at his disposal last season. Teddy is not a rookie, he is what he is. In Cams MVP year he had 35 td passes, you dont win mvp with 25 td passes.
-
A TE or off ball LB at 8 is a reach.
-
He would have to earn the right to play. He could not beat out Walker or Teddy, so that will never happen here. Write him off.
-
Not at all, our biggest need is QB, so every thread should be a QB driven thread. We can not let these idiots go on thinking that grabbing a TE or LB at pick 8 is acceptable.
-
Dude is a third stringer behind Teddy and Walker. At this point he is not even backup quality. His film is the same as it was, the reason he was not drafted until late although still higher than he should have been.
-
Cant be much worse than Teddy but definitely not the answer. When you have one of the worst starting QBs in the league a lot of crazy poo will be said. I think that is a MoRon Rivera troll you are replying too though, sounds like him.

The average QB last season tossed 24 TDs. I am tired of hearing that Teddy is average, Herbert was a rookie with a much worse o-line and he tossed 31 tds. Teddy is not starting QB material, I wish people would stop saying he is an average starting QB. Teddy is trash and should only be a backup used in spots. An example of an average starting QB last season is Phillip Rivers. Teddy is nowhere near that range.
-
His arms are the same length as Gross I think, but I agree he was the anomaly.
-
Either a QB makes it to our pick our we go up and get one dependent on the feeling of the draft. If for some dumb reason we dont get a QB, take a LT. When I say a QB I don't mean Jones or Trask, neither are first round talents.
-
So if we have a pre-concussion Luke we still have a shot at the playoffs with Kyle Allen or Teddy?
-
Teddy is not an average QB that is the problem, he is below average. An average QB is throwing anywhere from 20-30 TDs in our offense. Teddy is in the trash part of the QB hierarchy well below average. Trubisky threw 17 tds with a much less talented offense and only played in 11 games. Wentz tossed 16 in 12 games and got benched. Lets not pretend Teddy is anything other than abysmal. Edit: Oh and Dilfer has thrown for 21td's twice in the late 90s.
-
Honestly I would not give Teddy 1 more minute to prove himself, much less a season.
-
Luke was amazing a 7x all pro, but the point stands. Even if Luke never gets that concussion we still don't make the playoffs with what we have been fielding at QB.
-
That's what happens when Hurney is running most of those drafts. I hope our new regime is not dumb enough to select Parsons at 8. It was fun to cheer for the guys we drafted but we never had any sustained success. Double trouble was fun until we ran into the playoffs and Jake decided to throw 37 int against the Cardinals and we watched them go to the super bowl. Luke was great until Cam fell apart and we have not seen the playoffs since. The other LBs were ok for short periods, Beason was one of the best but he was short lived. Morgan had too many concussions. Davis was amazing once he finally got over the injuries. Edit: Thompson has been so meh, I forgot to add him.

And 3 have been RBs. Since 2000 8 1st round picks on LBs and RBs. People were in here last year salivating over Isiah Simmons, thankfully we passed on him and got Chinn instead at a cheaper pick. We do not need an off-ball LB with character issues at pick #8 I don't care how fast he runs.
