Well Luck was crowned a HoF'er before he ever took a snap in the NFL.
-
I think he lived up to his potential as best he could with what he was provided. He basically carried the offense for years.
-
Did you really just put our best QB and a top 5-10 QB in the league in his prime on a list of a bunch of bums? You do know Cam won MVP and was 1st team all pro? Its not his fault we had a shitty owner and coaches for his tenure.
-
He will be on the WFT soon.

How much of the Jets performance was really on Darnold?
PootieNunu replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
This. Wilson had 1 good season and shot up draft boards. He is more likely than not to bust, especially with the Jets. He had an easy schedule combined with Covid and the defenses sucking. -
I didn't mind when he flipped Seattle the bird, I kind of enjoyed it. In all fairness he meant as much to the D as any other player and he wanted some guaranteed money. He didnt get it and got hurt, after that he kind of went batshit crazy.
-
So they got what I figured, a late 2nd-early 3rd. No one was giving up a 1st for WR with maybe 2 years of good production left. He will probably have 800 yards with 3-4 TDs
-
It went much farther than being a PS QB but ok....
-
I hope PJ gets cut, so we can see him flounder around and no one will pick him up. the only reason I want to see him cut is because of idiots like that. This is worse than the Tommy Stevens crap.
-
You can say that, yea the refs let them head hunt Cam during the game, the no catch by Cotchery, but the brunt of the blame lies on MoRon. You don't go up against one of the best Ds in the league and run the same exact thing that was already on film. McDermott was the only coach on that staff that was worth anything. Our D did its job, the ST and O poo the bed, mainly because of coaching.

He would not be the first, but an XFL player being great in the NFL would be.
-
We are all entitled to our own opinion, I'm not bashing you for yours. If you think we re-sign Robby thats fine, I dont think we will. One of us is sure to be right.
-
Still waiting on that one guy from the XFL that was great in the NFL last season. PJ had 2 ints with 1 td vs the Lions. He was more exciting than Teddy, but he is not the answer. If the coaches thought he could start we never trade for Darnold. If anyone in the league thought he was a starter then 5 QBs are not taken in the first round, somebody would have tried to acquire him from us for less than 1st round pick.
-
We did draft his replacement, we have much greater needs than extending Robby. He was probably looking for an extension this off-season and did not get it. Instead we drafted a WR that will more than likely take his place next season. IDK for sure, but that is what it seems like.
-
The defense played lights out vs the Lions. PJ saw limited action last season and had 1 td to 5 int while completing 57% of his passes with a 45.8 rating. Name one XFL guy who was good in the NFL last season. If Darnold is not good we have another lost season, PJ is not saving it.
-
Is he even capable of that? His tenure here he used elite players to cover up his short comings as a coach. A good team would have back to back winning seasons, especially with the talent we had. He allowed Cam to be battered behind a piss poor O-line and he never had any weapons outside of Olsen worth mentioning. His defense is not much better with his soft zones. Even last season he backed into winning the NFCE because the eagles allowed him to. Im waiting for him to fall on his face in DC.
-
PJ Walker was good in the XFL because he was playing against 4th string NFL guys. What XFL player is lighting up the NFL? He was playing against competition that you see in the last NFL preseason game, guys that are going to be cut. Robby is on the last year of his deal and has no future with this team, nobody cares what he thinks. He is not a coach or GM. Robby will be out regardless of if he wants it or not.

June 1st (trade and cut transactions) rumors

I guess they will be the Cowboys of the NFCS, score 35 points a game but give up 40. -

Thats what I was saying. I don't think he is a Hof'er but it would be nice if he proved me wrong. -

Pretty sure that was Scot, he has a thing for Carr. I am pretty sure you meant David not Derrick. I have no idea where Sam is at on the broken scale, maybe a 6/10, but the coaches should have a pretty good idea. I thought it was funny when he was seeing ghosts a couple of seasons ago. I am not a Darnold apologist, I just hope he does well and I threw a couple of names out there that did not succeed on their first NFL team.
