    Exactly, its game 5 and the obvious weak link has been the OL. If the OL could be fixed so easily in FA and late round draft picks, why do we still have this crap on the field? It must be harder than you make it out to be.

    Sam had a bad game behind one of the worst OL performances in the last 2 years and the first reaction is draft or trade for a new QB, not fix the OL. Or if we do fix the OL do it with late round picks and FAs because that has worked out so well for us in the past. This is baffling.

    No one is going to find a franchise QB with this OL unless the kid is the next Cam Newton. I dont see a Cam Newton prospect coming out of college anytime soon. Build the damn OL with something other than late round picks and bum ass FAs

    How many picks do we have? We have a 1st and no 2nd or 3rd? So we build the lines with rookies from late rounds who are not ready and with scrubs in FA who suck and have the same OL again next year?

    So we have 2 qbs and no OL still? I Think Fitt will be looking to trade down and get a few picks back to stock up our OL.

    At this point I do not want to spend a 1st round pick on a QB much less 3-4. Like Smitty said no QB would be Elite behind this OL. The interior OL lost the game.

    OMG Darnold threw 3 picks while being pressured or hit on 50% of his drop backs Huddle Reaction trade 3-4 1st rounders for a new QB.

    We have to fix our OL before we even consider replacing Sam. This is dumb. What QB is going to succeed with constant pressure up the middle? Tom Brady lost 2 super bowls to the Giants because of it.

    I dont understand this at all, Smith is the only one who could pass protect besides CMC. Freeman got blown up again yesterday and did not run well.

    IF we are calling any teams I would hope it is for interior OL and not a QB.

    The OL cant get beat up much more in the locker room than they have been on the field so far. I say let the guys on Defense beat the hell out of them.

    Donte gave them 2 turnovers and they did nothing but punt it away. The D played at a high level.

    The D was getting it done, the eagles had one good drive where they did not start on a short field. This is beyond pathetic to blame the D. The O and ST lost this game. The way our D played our O only needed to compliment them and we score 30-40 points.

    Nobody can blame Brady when he played better than 2 of the interior OL combined in his first start at RT in the NFL. We have to put someone else on the OL the 3 interior guys have to be replaced, we cannot keep these same guys all season and expect to do anything.

    Tepper has enough money, if they are not wearing Panthers gear deny them entry. It really sucks when we have a good young team to see so many of the opposing teams jerseys in the crowd.

    Donte was one of the best players on the field yesterday and everyone is ready to get rid of him??

    Did we find an OL yet? IF not I don't see us winning many more game even with a championship caliber D.

    1. Brady had terrible play calls all game 2. Robby Anderson has been playing lazy and needs a wake up call 3. The ol allowed 6 pressures by 4 different players 4. Sam played shitty, missed several easy throws

    Yea last year when he had 26 TDs after seven weeks then he fell off a cliff. He is inconsistent and lives off of playing backyard football and has had incredible luck. 14 tds over 9 weeks is hardly elite, does he have stretches of elite play? Yes, is he consistently an elite QB? No.

    We know where you stand if we dont win a SB with Sam this season you are ready to trade 3 1sts for what you describe as an elite QB because our window is small. Anyone who does not agree with the assessment that RW is an elite QB must be a homer who only watches Panthers games.

    So after 4 games you know Sam 's ceiling is Jimmy G/Alex Smith? If Sam does not do what we need him to do they will look to upgrade, right now they are not looking to upgrade because Sam has played well.

    He is scared to death that we will be a 1 year wonder because that has been the Panthers MO. He has good reason to act in this manner because of our past transgressions, however I have hope that this staff knows how to build a team and not just catch lightning in a bottle for one season here and there.
