Rapaport: Panthers/ Tepper out of Watson deal
PootieNunu replied to FugginPoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would rather trade down and get a top C and G if Brady continues to develop at LT. -
TBF, if we did not have injuries to our starting RB,MLB,CB,SS among other injuries here and there we would be a better team than we were last year and not sitting at 3-4. This team is not built for having multiple injuries to key players. We are one of the youngest teams in the league with little to no depth.

Rapaport: Panthers/ Tepper out of Watson deal

Are we drafting a LT that can play G or C or something? LT has been the 2nd best spot on the OL all year. -
Sam Darnold will be Jimmy Clausen 2.0

I said what is he getting us? -
So he has a lot in common with our Sam, does he also have a questionable play caller? He might fit in well around here if that is the case.

Sam has already been better than Clausen on the field. Jimmy got us a the #1 pick in the draft, a franchise QB, and a new coaching staff. After just three NFL starts and being pulled in week 5, Clausen was benched after completing 47 percent of his passes with one touchdown and three interceptions. Clausen also fumbled seven times, losing two, and had a 52.2 passer rating. Clausen finished the 2010 season with 157 completions out of 299 attempts (52.5%), 1,558 yards with 3 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He was sacked 33 times and fumbled 9 times, losing two.[43] What is Sam going to get us?? -

I dont think a mediocre QB will help us at all. We need a top 10 kind of guy to make this offense work with the few pieces we have or we need 5 or so rookies to develop into quality starters. Taking a QB in the first is going to have our OL in shambles again next year. -
Panthers signing FA WR Devin Smith to the practice squad

Oh he cant catch? He will be featured on our offense and given a big extension then. He lucked out, that's just what we were looking for. -

Sweet! More weapons for Sam. How much are we going to hype this one up? -
Said no one. Cam is the best QB we have ever had and probably will be for a good while. Anyone who disagrees its because Cam did not play QB the "right" way.

Darnold played for USC and NFL teams, Willis plays for Liberty. IF he was such a hot shot QB he would be playing for a real college team. Nothing about this kid says better than darnold. This is PJ Walker 2.0 -

6'1" 225 pounds playing for Liberty? We could have just drafted Fields who played actual competition in college. -

I think we draft a QB and all defense, then we blame the QB next year for all the problems with the offense, rinse and repeat. -

Top QBs do not last till the 2nd round, even if that is their grade. The top 3 QBs will go round one regardless if they have a 1st or 3rd round grade. Teams need QBs. -

QR Week 7: Robby Anderson, Pro Football's Worst WR
PootieNunu replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I never loved it. I wanted them to let Robby play out his deal and then decide. Resigning him was dumb and he only got the contract because of the college he went to. We had him signed for this year and he is getting older and we drafted a guy to replace him. IF we were going to pay a WR we should have kept Samuel. -
Yea, plus no baggage with Mahommes tell him to catch a case and try back.
-
-
No he is injured and sucks without an OL. At least we know Watson can perform without an OL.
-
I say give them Robby, Paradis, Miller and a 7th. They can have the donuts too if you want.
-
Very carefully.

Those first rounders could also be kelvin benjamin, vernon butler, and rae carruth.

Unless something drastically changes it is going to play out with 10 straight losses. The Giants were the worst team left on the schedule and we scored 3 points. So far a drastic change for this staff is switching which side of the field our WRs line up on.

Reddick is 27 and I doubt he wants to waste away on losing teams for chump change. He has a couple of year left in his prime. Thats the only reason.
