This, Baker is a lesser version of Tony Romo. We just had a Browns fan that has watched most of his games describe him as such. Nothing wrong with what we gave up, I just dont think Baker can take us past 7-8 wins which scares me because that might mean Rhule can keep his job.

Which is also true of every other QB we have put out there, Denver thought they wanted Teddy but after they had him they traded away a bunch of picks for the rights to pay Russ 50m a season. Now we have Baker that no one else wanted, even though it was for a reasonable cost.

The sad thing about Cam being done is we could have gotten those same 5 wins the past 2 seasons with Cam at QB for a hell of a lot less $ and draft picks than it cost us to get Teddy and Sam. No reason to replace a broken former great QB with broken never were QBs especially at the cost we paid.

Which is a damn shame. Here we are the 3rd year in a row we are praying CMC stays healthy and trotting out a throwaway QB hoping he will have a career year under the tutelage of a bunch of has been or never where coaches.

So Baker has a career year with a worse team than he has been on for the past couple of years. I think its more like 59% comp, 3200 yards, 17 TDs, 13 ints,7-10, if he gets to start the whole year.

Because he sucks, he is only a marginal upgrade from Sam if at all. He was the weak link on a team with a top 5 OL and a top 10 D. I expect him to have around 18 tds and 12-14 ints if he starts the full season.

This. With the amount of picks we have spent on D we should have an elite unit, not a so so unit.

We werent even great in coverage last year. Horn could be a stud, Jackson is average, Henderson needs to develop or he will get picked on again. I have some hope for YGM if he can stay healthy, Brown needs to have a monster season or its about time to be thinking about moving on from him, Vernon butler 2.0. Burns needs to be play with discipline and quit making a b line for the QB on every damn play. All and all, I dont have high hopes for the D, Snow is also average at best as a DC.

I'm not sure about bottom 5, but the D is definitely worse than a lot of people on here think they are. Its an average D at best.

Wilson was a douche who wants 50m per season that he is not worth. He was begging for his OC to be fired behind closed doors but acting like they were best friends in public. I think Seattle made the right call by unloading him.

All of this is fine, but we arent winning many games without competent QB play, which I did not see you mention. Sam turning the ball over more than he scores TDs is not a winning recipe.

This is not news, Baker has always preferred the Seahawks over us. Who wouldnt except the biggest of homers? They have a super bowl winning coach, we have a guy with a never ending case of the meat sweats.

In the future when? This should be Rhules last chance. If we are picking high next year I dont think a new coach is going to tie his success to a 3rd round unproven QB. Corral pretty much has this year to show what he has. Baker isnt saving this team or Rhule.

We probably win about the same amount of games with Baker or Sam, Baker might add 1 or 2 wins, which is not worth it. No idea on Corral, never seen him play a down in the NFL. Baker is not some great QB, he might be better than Sam but it is not by much. He wasnt even top 10 in 2020, he was borderline top 15.

Well Rhule is an idiot and the majority of his staff last season were his buddies who would not dare defy him. I hope with our new additions we dont see any of that nonsense.

Im pretty sure I already said I want to see what Corral has before next years draft, its the only thing that makes sense. We already know what Baker, Darnold, Old Cam, Jimmy G etc. can do none of them are our franchise guy.

Cousins has consistently put up better numbers than Baker, if he is above average at best, what does that make Baker? The dude is a throwaway just liked Teddy B and Darnold.
