The dude literally scored lower than Sam Darnold, but he is elite? Its laughable. The problem is when the trade offer was turned down they basically handed Burns a blank check. He will probably become the highest paid defensive player in history when he signs and that is just crazy. Fitt and co are pretty much fuged on this one. These same guys will be on here high-fiving and grab-assing when we give him 28-30m per.

Exactly, you have nothing other than he is one of the Panthers best players. He was the 7th highest graded player by PFF on our D last season. Its not negative to point out a players strengths and weaknesses. The good news is we have an actual NFL coaching staff who should put our players in the best spots to succeed.
-
Lay out why you think he is a top tier edge/olb other than he one of our top players. You dont have a leg to stand on when comparing him with the actual top guys at the position. Buirns overall grade by PFF l;ast season was 64.5 , good for 65th place out of 119 players. If you want to hype one of our Defensive players, do Derrick Brown who is developing into a monster. MYles was a 92.5 grade and Watt was 82.1 for comparison. Burns is a good player as it currently stands, not great. He is great when compared to other edge players on our roster, not with the top guys in the league.

He is going to get a top edge salary because we decided to keep him instead of trading him. Now we have to pay whatever he is asking. Burns has 38 sacks since entering the league, good for 11th. He is also not good against the run. So lets recap, he is not among the best of the best at rushing the passer and he is a liability in the run game, yet he has earned top dollar? Something isnt adding up. The top guys Watt (57.5) and Garrett (54) have dwarfed his numbers in less games played.

WTH? lol, it doesnt take much for you to jump off of a cliff does it? Did you miss my first post where I said I like Burns as a pass rusher, but he is not on the same level with the big guns at the position. He was supposed to develop since we drafted him but the improvement has been marginal. Hopefully the new staff can get the most out of him, as the last idiots had him dropping in coverage on a regular basis. I am excited for the season to start as well, and I hope it is not a long season as we have had too many of those these past few years....

RIP to the fullback position

Where did I say that? If you think Hoover is an all time great FB thats cool, I will question your player evaluation, but its still cool. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, once you form that opinion people can agree or disagree, thats how it works. Thats why we have the pie, poo, etc. reactions... Burns is in the other thread.... -
All of what? I like Burns, I already said that. Im sorry i dont hype our guys up to be something they arent? He could still develop though, he has been playing under the big top for the past few years...Now he will have a chance to show what he can do in a actual NFL scheme. The OLB role should suit him better in theory. The upside is he should be in his prime for the entirety of this next contract.

Way to troll, sure hype your guys, but realistically. We have some great Panthers players in our history, Hoover is not one of them. It was fun to yell his name at the stadium but thats about it. -

Ouch. Hoover JAG and Alstott GOAT in the same sentence. I know you guys loved Hoover but damn, he is not even a RoH panthers player, much less in the same breath as Alstott. -
I like Burns as a pass rusher, but we have been talking about what he is going to develop into since his rookie year and he is still basically the same player. I dont agree with giving a pass rush specialist complete DE money, but it is too late now, our only choice is to sign him.

Way too early to decide winners or losers. If BY is our starting qb for the next 10-15 years and wins us a ring while Fields flames out, there is no way the bears won the trade.

I dont think anyone is very impressed by NOs staff. They have decided to go all in to win a shitty division and have continued to kick the can further down the road. If they dont win the division I doubt their staff survives for another season.

This sucks for guys who get drafted late who use special teams to get themselves noticed. I guess this wont ever happen again..... In 1995, newly appointed Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan drafted Terrell Davis in the sixth round of the 1995 NFL Draft.[6] Davis entered training camp as the sixth string tailback and was a long shot to make the team. He managed to impress the Broncos coaching staff after his second pre-season game, most notably with a crushing hit as a member of special teams.

Not blaming anyone, people are saying he was going to ball out in Chicago.
-
His QB is ass and he will be the clear cut #1, dont expect any better numbers than what he put up in Carolina.
-
Allen got Diggs who was a top 10 #1 wr at the time. Fields is getting Moore, a top 10 #2 WR. It's not the same.
-
I'll go 937 with 5 tds if that makes you happy. Yards are gargabe anyway...... Lmk when he scores double digit tds. It would not shock me to see him as low as 700 yards and 2-3 tds

Young, other top QBs have "odd" meeting with Tom Brady
PootieNunu replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brady is the type of douche that you meet the first time out of respect for what he has accomplished, after that you make up excuses to why you can't attend. -
Cmc is a douche who can't even thank us for over drafting and over paying him. Doesnt change the fact that Moores stats will look like 800-1000 yards with 5tds
-
True #1 WRs dont get neutralized very often, guys like Adams, Jefferson, Hill. Moore is not close to that level, he is more like a brandin cooks.
