  1. Production vs. traits. Panthers love them some guys with traits and that is what worries the crap out of me. Why do you think we kept Ian Thomas around for so long? He had traits, but could never gets those traits to translate into production.
  2. Here's another. I started at the end of the Vikings pick because they are talking about lazy picks, then turn around and have us taking Sadiq. I swear guys, I am not selectively choosing these videos to make a point, I click and this is what they say. Again, I think everyone is starting to copy one another on these mocks.
  3. Thieneman to the Vikings, just ahead of us, is one of the most recent viral trends in mocks. If he's our target, and he's on the board leading up to the late teens, we likely will have to leapfrog the Vikings.
  4. This is a consensus mock. So 36% of all mocks this site collected have us taking Sadiq. For reference, that's the highest percentage of any selection past #18. I get it, our trend is to talk to and/or bring in for a visit guys we think we are going to daft. I really, really, hope Morgan sticks to his trend.
  5. Maybe this is the year Morgan breaks his trend. I really hope not. Other teams draft guys they did not meet with over the spring, yes, even in the first round.
  6. Starting at our pick, you can stop after our selection and the analysis. I'm not sure if everyone is singing the same tune just because we can go any direction and Sadiq keeps falling.
  7. Let's tighten this up. Instead of a new thread about certain news, rumors and mocks by media types leading up to Thursday's draft, capture it all here. So Klatt, Simms and McShay most recent mocks (literally all this morning) have us taking Sadiq. Thoughts? I hate it. Kiper, who sucks, says the safety out of Toledo. Also, Trent Williams re-signed with the 49ers.
  8. Trent Williams just got an extension from the 49ers. https://www.nfl.com/news/trent-williams-49ers-two-year-50-million-deal-ending-contract-standoff
  9. There are rumblings that Bailey might go #2 over Reese. The reasoning? Pure Edge rusher over an athletic 'tweener.
  10. Tyson can't stay healthy. Some argue if he could abstain from injuries and minus the concerns from past ones, he'd be WR1 in this class. Some team is either going to get a steal or see their first round pick sitting on the training table a lot.
  11. Not according to the contact tracker in another thread, but the 30 visits had not been used up either so we may have visited him since then. However, Dillion T's. stock has steadily been rising. Several weeks ago he was still considered an early second rounder. I've seen recent mocks with him now going as high as #12 to the Cowboys. That's roughly a 20 draft slot difference. He was out of our range weeks ago for #19, but he's firmly there now.
  12. Yes, but if he's BPA on the board at #19 then that doesn't matter. We can't contact every possible prospect in our range. Heck, a few guys we contacted will be LONG gone before #19, but they did it any way. Again, Sadiq is my only hard NO with our first round pick. Anyone else in that range I will be cool with, even DL.
  13. Again, if we draft Sadiq over KC 'CuZ ThAt RAS Is FiRe!' Morgan and company are bigger morons than I thought. Some folks are mocking Tampa taking Sadiq, they may have to save us from ourselves.
  14. By mid-season several teams will be in tank mode for the QB rich 2027 draft. Bryce will play just well enough to keep us out of the top 3 or 4 QB sweepstakes next April, but not well enough to be in serious playoff contention either. Double whammy.
  15. I don't have to imagine all that hard. You can only polish a turd so much. No amount of shine can distract from the fact that, at the core, you still have a turd.
  16. I wouldn't be opposed, I simply think it's a luxury in the first round. The only pick I'm opposed to that is in our range at #19 is Sadiq.
  17. If we miss out on Freeling or Lomu, I don't think we take a serious stab at LT this draft. We might take a RT that they think could project to the other side in the mid rounds, but overall, it's a bandage and won't fix the issue if Ickey doesn't return to form form the injury I've mocked it over and and over, it's these two guys or we should pass on LT altogether. It's a great draft if you need a RT, super deep, but starting caliber LTs are very thin this year.
  18. It will be one of these two. Mark it down.
  19. It's still early in his tenure as GM, so it's going to look good now. Let's give it another couple years and revisit this.
  20. Ugh, no team is in desperate need of a TE where Sadiq's stock is, therefore draftnics/pundits are just linking him to us so he doesn't fall in mocks.
  21. The Rams are way down the list and they crush drafting. Browns are #1 and they suck at drafting. All I can see this chart worthy of the ability of people to predict draft picks of teams better higher on the list than teams lower on the list.
  22. McShay thinks there will be a run on Edge and OT in the back half of the first round. It's laughable to think Lomu is a reach for us. Some mocks have him about right, early 20's, and some still have him last few picks in round one or slipping to round two. What a joke. I wouldn't be shocked if he's off the board before #19.
  23. So the two guys I originally wanted all the way back in December, that were projected around pick 20 are now mocked to go #3 and #5 overall; Bailey and Styles, respectively. Go figure.
