Nice refute.

And the Vikings won with a rookie UDFA QB in his second career start behind an atrocious outing by the OL in pass pro. Next excuse.
-
Most teams OLs are dealing with injuries at the end of the season. So by that token all QB play should be horrific across the board, but it's not. Using the OL as an excuse anytime a QB plays bad is just lazy. This is the same OL when Bryce had his good games not so long ago. So do they suck just when Bryce does bad? Obviously they played well enough when y'all were doing your victory laps and saying 'you told us Bryce was the man' in the victories. It goes back to my stance with Bryce all along...he's a low end starting QB. He'd be a great backup. Bryce is going to have a few really nice games a season at this point in his career, with a few WTF games mixed in, but very middling overall.

I posted this in the draft section earlier. That's a lot of draft slots in play.
-
Yeah, he had a clear passing lane where he could have, in theory, put it on a frozen rope. That ball didn't need to have much loft on it...at all. If you look at the pocket shot, the way the ball came out of his hand you would think it was a chunk yard attempt, not barely over a 10 yard pass.
-
What happened here? Tet has nearly 3 yards on the DB. For reference, the ball is at the top of the field at the refs right leg just passing the 40. So the DB had time to close 3 yards in the balls final 9 yards of flight. What does that mean? That ball did not have much zip on it. Let me go ahead and post the pocket shot before the "he didn't have enough time" excuse pops up. It was a like a 12-13 yard pass to the boundary and the DB had plenty of time to track it.

Some sites have with a 7th and others don't. I trust Tankathon and they have us with a 7th rounder. I know it something to do with a conditional pick based on a trade.
-
I'll take this draft!
-
We aren't going anywhere in the playoffs and historically mid-round is where the elite talent drops off. I'm not saying tank, but I won't be heartbroken if we lose the final game either. I've got my eye on a few players and they won't be there many picks past #10 if they even make it that far.

Bryce's stats are among the worst of the starting QBs that's played all/nearly all of their games.

Bryce is elite at [PFF designated "big time"] throws

Yeah, that was a team of studs. Got this poster when I was a PSL holder. It's in the man cave now. -

What it was like as a fan base to root for a decent/good/above average football team most seasons (a couple of stinkers in there). it was actually fun! -

I've come and gone over the years here, it hasn't been a straight 23-year run for me, but I initially joined not long after it was established too. I stick around hoping that this team will get it's act together. Under Jerry Richardson, you knew a bad season was going to turn around the next year or two. We were at least mediocre most seasons and playing for something meaningful in December whether we ultimately made the playoffs or not. This cycle of misery is strictly a David Tepper phenomena. From top down, bad decision after another. It seems to be looking up somewhat this year, but we still have plenty of warts to eradicate before anything thing really positive or sustained will be in the cards for the Panthers. -

2003. -
Yeah, he was bad. He played scared too like Bryce, but he could at least chuck the ball down the filed if the opportunity presented itself. Clausen was a 2nd rounder though, not the #1 overall pick. Very easy to move off from once we figured out he was a bust.
-
I see the exaggeration, but he's not far off. Bryce's mean game in yardage output was the second Saints game at 163. He's averaging just over 1 TD a game and an INT roughly every other game. So a typical stretch of games from Bryce looks like--under 200 yards, with one passing TD (occasionally a second) and a pick every odd game. Still not impressive, at all.

Look at this swath of draft slots depending on how next week shakes out.

Seems like now is a good time to ask...

If we are doing revisionist history, I never wanted to draft Bryce in the first place. -
Yeah, he also had a QB sneak to potential tie/win the game. I almost had to be reminded of what a QB sneak is since we don't run that play here.

Nope, perfect time to bring in legit competition for wee man. Not some 39-year old cheerleader/motivational guide. -
I think we all know deep down that Tampa will win next week.
45catfan replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tampa has completely fallen apart. If we lose, then we had no business whatsoever being in the playoffs. Heck, neither team does, but someone has to win the awful division. -
I would have had zero issues with that, along with the other backups in there too. Our luck, Moton tears his ACL on a Dalton QB dive.
-
At least one...to the other team.
-
Yes, with probability there's never zero chance, but come on dude, we have sucked all game and were supposed to score 3x in just over 2 minutes with no time outs? This ain't Disney.
