  1. We aren't going anywhere in the playoffs and historically mid-round is where the elite talent drops off. I'm not saying tank, but I won't be heartbroken if we lose the final game either. I've got my eye on a few players and they won't be there many picks past #10 if they even make it that far.
  2. Bryce's stats are among the worst of the starting QBs that's played all/nearly all of their games.
  3. Yeah, that was a team of studs. Got this poster when I was a PSL holder. It's in the man cave now.
  4. What it was like as a fan base to root for a decent/good/above average football team most seasons (a couple of stinkers in there). it was actually fun!
  5. I've come and gone over the years here, it hasn't been a straight 23-year run for me, but I initially joined not long after it was established too. I stick around hoping that this team will get it's act together. Under Jerry Richardson, you knew a bad season was going to turn around the next year or two. We were at least mediocre most seasons and playing for something meaningful in December whether we ultimately made the playoffs or not. This cycle of misery is strictly a David Tepper phenomena. From top down, bad decision after another. It seems to be looking up somewhat this year, but we still have plenty of warts to eradicate before anything thing really positive or sustained will be in the cards for the Panthers.
  6. Yeah, he was bad. He played scared too like Bryce, but he could at least chuck the ball down the filed if the opportunity presented itself. Clausen was a 2nd rounder though, not the #1 overall pick. Very easy to move off from once we figured out he was a bust.
  7. I see the exaggeration, but he's not far off. Bryce's mean game in yardage output was the second Saints game at 163. He's averaging just over 1 TD a game and an INT roughly every other game. So a typical stretch of games from Bryce looks like--under 200 yards, with one passing TD (occasionally a second) and a pick every odd game. Still not impressive, at all.
  8. Look at this swath of draft slots depending on how next week shakes out.
  9. If we are doing revisionist history, I never wanted to draft Bryce in the first place.
  10. Yeah, he also had a QB sneak to potential tie/win the game. I almost had to be reminded of what a QB sneak is since we don't run that play here.
  11. Nope, perfect time to bring in legit competition for wee man. Not some 39-year old cheerleader/motivational guide.
  12. Tampa has completely fallen apart. If we lose, then we had no business whatsoever being in the playoffs. Heck, neither team does, but someone has to win the awful division.
  13. I would have had zero issues with that, along with the other backups in there too. Our luck, Moton tears his ACL on a Dalton QB dive.
  14. Yes, with probability there's never zero chance, but come on dude, we have sucked all game and were supposed to score 3x in just over 2 minutes with no time outs? This ain't Disney.
  15. Here it is. Take out the top three and bottom three games, he's barely a game manager.
  16. If he's under contract he's at least trade bait. If we let him walk after next season, we get nothing. If he gets anything, give him the option. I'm dead set against an extension.
  17. Really bad optics, but I get it. Zero chance to win with only some stat padding and/or injury as the possible outcomes. I could see at least pulling the starters and running the ball with the backups instead of kneeling it out.
  18. That's what I've been screaming from the rooftops. Once you extend a franchise QB, you have a very tight window for success before the front office has to start making tough choices at other spots. Here's my play: give the 5th year option Young and bring in legit competition (not babysitting Andy Dalton). Let next year play out and my best guess is it will look a lot like this year--very middling. Stock the defense and a couple offensive players in the '26 draft and we get our QB in '27, which is slated to be loaded.
  19. Hopefully the Saints think Shough is the long term answer. I don't want them getting a first round QB, especially not one named Mendoza.
  20. At least he got his average closer to 60% than 50% and boosted his passing yardage to over 2. At one point he was just over 50% completions with a 1.3 per completion average.
  21. Actually, 40 net yards as he lost 14 of them in sacks.
  22. Ah, the coach. The guy who calls the plays, but doesn't actually play the game. So if you disagree with the coach's calls, it absolves the players from actually doing their jobs. Got it.
