  1. The Deonte Brown experiment is now officially over. Another Rhule pick outta here. Dude has been on the practice squad for like 3 years now. If you can't crack this O-line, not even sniff the 53, then you pretty much stink. We are signing warm bodies off the street and ol' buddy was getting routinely passed over on the practice squad.
  2. Ugh, unless he's grown up, he has some serious maturity issues. I don't keep up withe Gamecock football, but that was a knock on him at Oklahoma. Maybe he's changed.
  3. Report: Panthers fans frustrated by David Tepper. Some in the building think he's clueless on how to run a football team.
  4. Nor is he a threat to run the ball on designed plays. I bet the "tush push" isn't even in our playbook.
  5. Cool, maybe O'Brien can schedule South Carolina, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt while he's at it too. Bryce had success against those guys.
  6. I agree with the premise, but a rookie QB adds a lot of variables, most of which negatively impact the offense. Also, those were/are not first year coaching staffs in the examples used. That is why it is so ironic that first year coaching staffs that have a high draft pick go after a QB, but their fate ultimately lies with that QB development, usually with an unfortunate ending.
  7. Can't be that. Hubbard would have to be that guy and Foreman-equse he is not. Even if you are not a power run team, you still need that back in your tool bag. That's the reason first down sucks, we don't have a tackle breaking, pile pushing RB. Again, Hubbard is taking on that role, but that's not who he is.
  8. I think Bryce would have to have a rock star cast to be successful. Herbstreet mentioned SF as a place Bryce could be successful. No poo, what NFL caliber QB couldn't? My point is Bryce is limited physically, but given an ideal roster and staff he could maximize what he has to offer. That place is not here. It would literally take his entire rookie contract for this thing to get back on track--if even then.
  9. The OLs problem is two-fold. First are injuries and secondly is scheme. If...BIG IF, we can stay healthy and solidify the LG position, I think we will see strides made with the OL. Ickey has had a rotating door next to him all season. Couple that with less help than he had last season while protecting a rookie QB with WRs that can't get open, yeah, he's had a rough year. The skill positions are lacking tremendously. That's the main problem.
  10. I mean the only WRs I would keep after the season is Thielen and Mingo...Mingo only because he could develop into something.
  11. He's not lying, we can win "a" football game and have done so. Consistently winning? Nope, we are sorely lacking talent on the offensive side of the ball.
  12. Well, Frank let someone else do it for a few games and it hasn't looked better. Why not retake the play calling duties? This will be the make or break week for Brown. If he can get something going versus that Dallas defense then he'll retain the duties for a bit longer, but if it looks as bad...or worse than it has, Frank will take the duties back over. People are screaming scheme, but the skill positions is a about as bad as it gets.
  13. We might be getting Horn and Thomas back soon, both are coming off IR, but who knows if they are in top football shape? Considering how many players that have been dropping like flies this season, it's probably not wise to rush them back for this weeks game, especially Horn. It's not like we have a chance, so save them for a more winnable game in two weeks versus the Titans. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/11/13/panthers-designate-jaycee-horn-ian-thomas-return-injured-reserve/
  14. So people showed up after all? Crazy to get arrested over an owner that doesn't give a sh*t. Again, Tepper's the problem and he ain't going anywhere.
  15. Does this instill ANY positive emotion when yo see this depth chart? Don you think any other teams are remotely afraid of this offense? Honestly this looks like an XFL offensive depth chart without Young's name.
  16. It may be that way now, but when I grew up in Charlotte it was definitely heavily skewed to UNC fans being Cowboy fans. This was pre-Panthers and roughly 90% of Charlotte was either Cowboy or Redskins fans. My recollection is the Cowboy fans were UNC or Duke followers and the Redskins were State and Wake folks--as a generality.
  17. Actually, most I have encountered are Tarheel fans. I agree though, totally unbearable.
  18. Because we don't have a first round pick? I'm not a tanker, but the purpose of tanking is to get the #1 overall draft pick of which the Bears will enjoy selecting on our behalf.
  19. It's execution and ill-fit personnel. Granted there's not a lot of misdirection, motion, exotic looks etc... but these guys can't even execute the plays effectively and consistently in these basic looks. I mean if you can't make food in a microwave properly, then you shouldn't be attempting to prepare a scratch four-course meal. There's so much turnover/change that needs to happen with this offense, it's almost too much of a task to do half way through the season. This is definitely an offseason overhaul.
  20. Bryce isn't doing himself any favors. It isn't like he's an innocent bystander in this poo show. He's as culpable in the offensive sputtering as the WRs, RBs, TEs and OL. I call it as I see it and if he were the lone exception in this dreadful offense, I'd say so, but he's not.
  21. The team is going to have to bring in the loud speakers to practice versus crowd noise for OUR home game, lol!
