  1. Wrong thread... should have been in the mock one in the draft sub-forum. I like it, so I'm not deleting it.
  2. I'm okay with the picks for us, just not excited about them. Yes, they are picks of need, but I would go elsewhere. Center is position you can address nearly anywhere in the draft, second round is too high for me. Edge I'm more okay with taking a guy in the second round, but I'd rather wait until the 3rd.
  3. I'll pass. We've had enough 'meh' TEs around here lately. If we take one, it had better be later on. There's too many more solid position groups to pick from before taking a stab at a weak, VERY weak, TE group. Again, day 3 guys are flyer picks, so try one there. WR, CB, OL and Edge are deeper and would make MUCH more sense than reaching for TE before day 3.
  4. If we take a TE before round 4, Morgan needs to be fired. This TE class sucks. Value only comes into play on day 3. Yes, I realize Brock Bowers is in the draft class, but he's a unicorn.
  5. No, just heck NO! Dude is stiff as a board. Most of his "highlight" film was the same damn route or a trick play where he was left wide open.
  6. Your 2025 QB class, gentlemen. If Nix could have played another year, he'd arguably be #1. Hell, Rattler would be top 3.
  7. The QB class next season is not very good, FYI.
  8. Mahomes isn't jacked, but not exactly high school physical status either.
  9. Still thicker and bulkier, roughly 30 pounds heavier.
  10. Possibly, but let Bryce and his lean 190 pound frame keep getting hit by guys nearly 100 pounds heavier. Good thing this isn't Rugby where he at least has some padding.
  11. The man hit the wights and put on some muscle. I'm not a Murray fan, but he bulked up realizing it was best for his durability. Again, let's see if Bryce does the same. He doesn't strike me as a gym rat though.
  12. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/nfl-draft-prospect-drake-maye-kind-player-will-get-you-fired-ex-steelers-player-warns Merril Hoge says Maye is going to get people fired.
  13. Meh. Not crazy about either of the second round picks. Wilson falling to the 3rd is questionable, but a steal if so.
  14. Both Murray and Tua bulked up after college, let's see if Bryce will take a page out of their books or will just rely on his brain power to get better.
  15. We brought him in, so there's interest. I can think of several WRs I'd take before Legette. Doubtful he's the best WR on the board at #33--or even #39 for that matter.
  16. He's raw like Mingo. Point being another physical specimen that needs a lot of refinement isn't what we need. Again, we already have one of those.
  17. Here's how I want the WRs. We know at least 5 WRs will be draft before us. Assuming Mitchell is the last 100% gone by #33, my ranking would then go: 1) Franklin 2) McConkey 3) Polk 4) Pearsall 5) Colman 6) McMillian 7) Legette 8 ) Corley 9) Burton 10) Wilson
  18. Nix, maybe not a first rounder, but Penix, definitely. Too many QB needy team in the first round just to be passing up quality QBs. I can't see Denver and Raiders both passing up a QB. Don't be surprised to see the Raiders move a few spots ahead of Denver--possibly the Vikings-- to get a QB. The Vikings quite possibly may move up simply to fend off Denver and Vegas from leapfrogging them. These teams aren't dumb, realizing all 3 are QB needy and picking sequentially 11,12,13. A bit of a game of checkers will be happening I suspect.
  19. So we want Leggett who is a Mingo clone over McConkey whose production is in amongst Waddle, Olave, M. Brown, Smith-Njiba and Nacua? Seems a very Panthery move.
  20. A couple weeks ago Penix looked like QB6 and then had a really, really solid Pro Day. Somehow with McCarthy being a top 10 guy now, Penix is going to get scooped up by one of those QB needy teams just outside the top 10. That's the reason I think it's pretty silly not to entertain the thought of taking Nix or moving back if he somehow slides from, say, pick 14 all the way to #33. There's a wide gap between Nix and Rattler (who is universally regarded as QB7)-- or restated, the next best guy after the big 6.
  21. Would I? Absolutely. Will it happen? No. FYI, I pitched this idea many, many weeks ago and the resounding answer was no. Then I asked if we don't want Nix, then should we trade back to a QB needy team? Most people don't even want to trade back out of #33 even though we have a pick at #39 now. Conclusion: We will stay at #33 and reach for a WR since it looks like a run on wideouts is fairly inevitable. Panthers clinic on how to fug up a draft 1.0.
  22. You do know we fired Fitterer, right? We might have one trade this draft, likely zero. We have a full compliment of 7 picks now, so plan on only 7 picks.
  23. He could be had in the 3rd round. He's not a top 40 prospect and just because a run on WR seems inevitable, that doesn't mean we reach. Then again, we are talking about the Panthers.
  24. Up to 6 QBs. I don't see less than 5. McCarthy has caught fire recently and Penix had a solid pro day where he's probably going ahead of Nix now. The idea that somehow only 1 QB gets selected amongst Vikings, Broncos and Raiders...to a lesser extent Seahawks and Saints is undervaluing this top heavy QB class. Despite the smoke out there, QBs will go 1,2,3 at the top of the draft.
