  1. No way Newman drops to the 6th/7th. Buechle/Ehinger are fringe UDFA just like Franks.
  2. How about I pick one from most posotion groups? FB- Ben Mason-Michigan SWR-Smith South Carolina OLB/Edge-Koonce-Buffalo C-Jimmy Morrissey-Pittsburgh OG-Kreamer-Notre Dame OT-Van Lanen-Wsconsin TE-Angeline- NC State RB-Patterson-Buffalo QB-Franks-Arkansas DE-Sample/Jackson (Tulane/Coastal Carolina) DT-Tonga/Brown (BYU/Texas A&M/OLB-Stevens-LSU CB-Taylor/Gown-(Washington/Central Florida) S/OLB-Stevens-LSU
  3. Gone before the 5th, bank on it. You don't find 6"4' with 4.4 speed often.
  4. Really? McNeill was one of the guys you didn't have a 3rd round grade on? Like R-E-A-L-L-Y????????? I had a cusp 2nd/3rd on him. Not sure how much research you have done on him, but he's like he 2nd NT off the board. He's THE BEST pass rushing NT in the class.
  5. TEs are overrated, especially if your QB is on his back.
  6. Compared to the 70's and 80's? Dude, I finally toned down my threads in the 90's, lol!
  7. It may have been the mid-90's when those debuted, but I guarantee you those uniforms came from renderings out of the late 80's. I have no doubt. The 80's was about big, bold and loud...not so much the 90's.
  8. Yep, since February...2019. Found him while scouting for last draft. I knew we would be picking somewhere around #10, give or take a few selections (predicted a 6-10 season). So my hopes were high that we would be in range to get him since Bridgewater was just that. What I didn't anticipate was us ditching Teddy after just one season and having to immediately replace him. That's where my Lance hopes started to fade. I knew Trey had to 'red shirt' one season. Once we got Darnold, my focus turned to LT, just as yours did. Now, If Sewell is gone, I still wouldn't mind Lance. Right now I'm at--in order as they are available to us: 1-Sewell 2-Lance 3-Slater 4-Trade back for a corner
  9. Yet another guy that has Lance rated higher than Fields. People can't keep acting like it's some sort of outlier. Fields fan-boys can't wrap their heads around it.
  10. Uh, have you seen my avatar? Still clinging to a sliver of hope it may happen, but only if Sewell is gone. As much as I would like Lance in a Panthers' uniform, with Darnold here, LT is priority unless he's already been drafted.
  11. I don't think there is a drastic difference in the top few CBs and personally feel it's a slight reach if we take one at #8. I makes little sense to me. Get the LT in the first and circle back in the second round for the corner.
  12. It's 50/50. I think the 49ers loved Jones' stat line and film, however, once they realized what Lance could be in a year or two, it made them reevaluate. Remember, Jimmy-G is the guy THIS year. Jones would be the guy if he had to start this September, but he's not. In a year's time I think Lance and Jones are on equal footing with Lance having the higher ceiling long-term. While Jones still may be the pick, I don't think it's a slam dunk anymore.
  13. That's the reason I go straight to the summery/conclusion with reading the entire report; I have little patience for all minutiae! I enjoy cooking and eating a sausage and could care less about the process in which it was made.
  14. Either Detroit or us will trade back to a team wanting Lance if the 49ers or Falcons don't take him. He absolutely does not slide past #8. If Sewell is gone, we may even draft him (fingers crossed).
  15. One will be there, likely Horn. I think this is the reason we are trying to trade down because the value isn't there at #8, but a team may want to move up for a player with that #8 value. That way we get the corner at the correct value (not reaching) and gain some additional draft capital as well.
  16. Man, that was a long-winded post by the OP to say we need a CB. I already knew that, duh! Now, I disagree it needs to be in the first as corner is probably the deepest position in the draft besides WR (and were are mostly good there). We won't take one at #8; only in a trade back. I'm certain of that. If we trade back with Sewell already gone I won't be too perplexed. If we trade back with Sewell still there, I can't say the same.
  17. Which end of that bet are you on to be clear? You have Lance within 10 or the other guy? I'm certain Lance goes within 10 of Fields, that's like taking candy from a sleeping baby. Heck, the better bet would have been which one of the two gets drafted first. Lance to 49ers is picking up a TON of steam.
  18. Yeah, I remember the commercials. They were actually quite good as far as beer commercials go. I actually prefer XX amber to standard lager though. If I get a beer at a Mexican restaurant, that's my go-to.
  19. All of a sudden these bold internet GMs have clammed up, huh? Seemingly so sure of themselves they are not even willing to put even a silly avatar on the line, lol!
  20. Ah, you were talking about your personal one. Yes, changing yours would not make much sense. I would suggest not losing an avatar bet then!
  21. Is Sam a one-yer rental? That honestly depends on Sam. If he balls this year, then he's very likely to stay.
  22. We have an avatar bet about the amount of DTs going in the first 3 rounds. Basbear thinks it's 5 or less and I think it will be about 7 (6 is a push). So we are betting our avatars to the choice of the victor. It can't be anything that can get the losing person banned, but it can be shaming/funny/mocking. I think the loser has to sport the avatar until opening game, so the rest of the offseason. Yes, avatars can be changed..I've done it several times. I haven't had this Trey Lance avatar forever.
  23. If we trade back more than several picks, the staff has to love Darrisaw because Slater will be gone. Personally, I'm not sold on Darrisaw. He's not athletic enough for me.
  24. Zip, nadda, zilch. That boat sailed when we acquired Darnold. As for a non-QB? That trade up would be BEYOND stupid.
