  1. Still a considerable gap between "not sucking" and "playing well." They have held up better than most of us thought in the passing game, but a stripper's backside g-string has a bigger crease than our RBs lanes between the tackles.
  2. It does happen, on occasion, to other teams. It's a foregone conclusion of failure for us though. We shouldn't have to get gimmicky to gain a yard, but unfortunately here we are. This is what you get when when you don't value a true FB and convert a PS TE to attempt the role. This staff is very stubborn when it comes to certain positions.
  3. If we can't get one yard in the running game when we need it, it could cost us a game or two this season. Our OL lacks nastiness, period. I remember when our run blocking was superb back in the day. The big nasties would eat glass and crap barbed wire. Now they apparently eat marshmallows wear roller skates that only work in one direction...backwards.
  4. One thing that hasn't changed about Darnold since the Jets is his one turnover per game average. While it looks like he's getting comfortable and improving his game overall, count on at least one mistake per game...it's going to happen.
  5. I got it. Frostbite! Frost for Coach Snow and Bite for the Panthers. What does frostbite do? It leaves you numb!!!
  6. I wasn't a fan of the Hubbard pick. Big 12 numbers are always inflated and I knew he wasn't going to be as good as he seemed base off his college production. Lastly, coaches wives shouldn't have input on draft decisions.
  7. Try Charlton out at KOs. Dude has a booming leg and I'm sure he has a soccer background as most NFL kicker do.
  8. How about Snow Blind? Awesome Black Sabbath song. Not sure the cocaine connotation would go over very well though.
  9. I'm not sure where to look this up, but can someone see when the last time the Saints were held to 48 yards or less in rushing? That's what we held them to today. Every since they've had Kamara, their rushing attack has been decent. Kamara had 5 yards today rushing.
  10. Zylstra is much better than Bersin, but I'm not sure if I would consider him Proehl-lite either. I guess he's in the middle somewhere.
  11. Our OL has no push in the running game, thus we can't run out the clock. I remember a time when a Panthers team could churn the clock nearly an entire quarter with a lead by running the ball straight down an opponent's throat and there wasn't a damn thing they could do about it. We can't do that with this OL.
  12. This Erickson guy is horrible. He hesitates while looking for a running lane on punt returns and by that time coverage is all over him. I'm not sure what the staff sees in that dude at all.
  13. I was worried that he may get cut after a couple of drops in the last preseason game. He's a solid STs guy, works well out of the slot and usually has reliable hands. I'm glad the coaching staff kept him around.
  14. I guess putting the 4th string TE in the backfield and slapping a FB label on him makes it so. If the Saints demote Armah back to the PS and don't protect him, please cut Ricci's arse and sign a real FB.
  15. 89.0, 0-0 for Jones. While not horrible,two words--game manager.
  16. Because not one person here was clamoring for Jones. Some folks would have given a kidney or first born child any of the other three guys.
  17. QB rating, TDs-INTs for these QBs today: Fields: 27.7 , 0-1 Wilson: 37.0, 0-4 Lawrence: 37.2, 1-2 Darnold 99.1, 2-1
  18. Only 48 yards rushing for the Saints! Kamara was held to 30 all-purpose yards, only five of those were rushing!
  19. To all those that were pissed we got Darnold and didn't get a QB this draft: 27.7 , 0-1 37.0, 0-4 37.2, 1-2 99.1, 2-1
  20. It wasn't as bad as last week limping to the finish line, but letting teams linger around in the second half will eventually come back to bite us in the rear. In other words, if we can equal the first half offensive production and let the defense do their thing, this team could be very dangerous.
  21. Yup, but most player scratches were on defensive side of the ball. Their offense have no real excuse for getting beat like drum.
