All started with the OL. As the pressure and hits kept coming, the worse Darnold played.
-
It's amazing how much CMC masks our average offense. When he's out, we are completely exposed.
-
CMC has to play next week. He's the only weapon we have considering this crap OL.
-
Wow! Are we really about to lose to a really bad Eagles team?????
-
Time out.
-
Blackburn will have a pink slip on Monday.
-
Brady is definitely over-rated. This ain't LSU.
-
That 3rd down call was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E. How are you going to telegraph a run when your OL is getting zero push??????
-
The refs missed the Eagles DT jumping in the neutral zone. Anyone else see that?
-
Can we just stay in the locker room until the 4th quarter?
-
A Temple player actually worth keeping around.
-
Sam is panicking some. I don't blame him. Fitts better had get this interior OL fixed pronto before he ruins Sam.
-
Uh oh, Darnold is having Jets flashbacks....
-
edit: wrong thread.
-
At this point, go empty backfield, 5 WRs and put Darold 7 yards behind the LOS and just have everyone run short to intermediate routes. Darnold would have 3 seconds to get rid of the ball even if the OL so much as chips the D-linemen.
-
No push in the running game and no blocking in the passing game.
-
Hey, Daley would like a word with you...
-
The original gansta speedbump? Would that be Miller, Paradis or Daley?
-
I've seen sieves hold back water better than our interior OL holds back a pass rush. Sad part is they are doing it with just their front four. The Eagles aren't doing anything fancy. Maybe a stunt sprinkled in occasionally, but no elaborate blitzes to speak of.

Moton to start at LT, Christensen at RT

I wonder if people thought Andrew Whitworth was washed up at 25? -
Do you think the OL will be addressed in the offseason? Probably not....

Sam may finally have reliable protection today! -
I told you guys LB depth would be a problem. You can't have only 3 starters and 1 legit backup (even if he can play all 3 positions) and say you are fine at LB. I knew all it would take is one injury and things could get ugly. We are one more injury away from practice squad guys being starters. I don't care what scheme we run (but we are in nickle mostly!!!!), 4 legit LBs is not enough, period.

The team even has hinted at this. Regarding Horn, they expect him back by the playoffs. I don't think it's lip service or blissful optimism, they honestly believe they will be in the playoffs and Fitts is trying his best to get the pieces in place to make it happen. Yes, it's about building for the future, but the future is now and not treading water until 2022. This is not 2020 team that was just trying to be competitive. They knew they were in rebuild mode. I guarantee you if you asked any player or coach if this team is still in rebuild mode they would look at you like you are crazy.

Yup, I mentioned this yesterday with the crop of QBs going into the 2022 class. I thought it was marginal to begin with, but the "top" guys are looking like they are regressing or at least not living up to their hype. If the team didn't tank for Trevor, they sure as heck are not going to go after one of these dudes. It's a moot point anyway as Fitts has pushed all his chips to center table for this season with these trades. It's playoffs or bust.
