  1. Philly has 3 first round picks and would be the only one I can think of that has enough fire power to trade with us. The question is, who would they want? Maybe if Hamilton is still there at #6 or if an edge rusher starts to slide. Frankly, that's about it. So two things here...Neal, Cross and Ekwonu all have to be gone. We pick up the phone and contact Philly to see if they want Hamilton or an edge guy. Slide back to #15 or #16 and take Raimann picking up a 2nd rounder in the process.
  2. Ekwonu to the Giants at #5 is becoming super popular in mocks, of course one pick before us (just like last year with Sewell). The Giants aren't dumb, even though they need a pass rusher and tackle, they know we are desperate for an OT so they wait take the edge rusher after we pick at #7.
  3. Even if we somehow move back like 10 spots to pick up a 2nd rounder, by the time we would be on the clock midway through the round, we would be looking at something like OT #8...which is INSANE!
  4. Top 10 OT's by PNP. Each prospect has their run grades, pass pro grades and reps at each spot on the OL. If we come out of this draft without any of these dudes, it will be a FAIL.
  5. More of the 2014 class for me. You've got 2-3 guys...with time and development (see sitting the bench for a few years) may end up being serviceable starters, but ZERO day 1 starters. Notice the one guy a team got desperate for a QB reached. Bortles should have never gone that high. This will probably be Pickett this year (probably us). Then you have a glut of guys at the end of round 1 and round 2. That's likely to happen this year. Corral I can see being like a Derek Carr in a few years...a middle-of-the-road starter, though he will go a bit higher. Willis has the athletic buzz like Johnny Football did, but I actually see him being more like Logan Thomas. Howell and Bridgewater are really nothing alike, but that's about where Howell should go, late round 1. Ridder will go in the 2nd round about where Jimmy G went. Strong will be a day 3 pick. Brock Purdy may be the only guy worth taking a late round flyer on at this point. Zappe's arm will get exposed in the NFL unless he goes to the right offense like a WCO that specializes in a short passing attack.
  6. I've read several reviews/recaps by folks much more qualified than you or myself on the Senior Bowl QB play. That's all I need. Actually, had one or more reports contradicted what I already knew about this sorry-arse QB class, then I may have been compelled to go back and watch it.
  7. I didn't watch the Senior Bowl, but from what I have read about the QBs, it was exactly what I thought it would be. That being an underwhelming performance by a poor QB class. Unsually one or two QBs take the opportunity to separate themselves and from reports I have read by scouting sites, it only confirmed the questions about each of them. Ridder looks like he may be the winner. Pickett? Yes, he was perfect, but on mostly underneath passes. Kenny's TD was a simple dump off that the RB took to the house. Willis looked as unpolished as advertised while the athleticism still intrigues. Howell showed his inconsistency. Strong showed he'll be turned into fertilizer at the next level. Unfortunately, Zappe's arm is going to hold him back. He show's the knowledge and moxie to succeed at the next level, but he simply doesn't have an NFL arm. In short...STAY AWAY from QBs in this draft class!!!
  8. So we released QB James Morgan in November and re-signed PJ Walker to be the backup going forward at the end of the season. PJ's ceiling is know, Morgan's not so much. My point is I know we had a glut of QBs there for a few weeks, but letting the one guy go who potentially had the most upside...to promptly get snatched up once he hit waivers was S-T-U-P-I-D. I'm not saying the guy would turn into a franchise QB, probably not, but an upgrade over PJ Walker? Almost definitely! I really liked this guy coming out of college as a developmental prospect. He has the tools, but not the experience. So much so, although he's bounced around some teams, he never has a problem finding a new home. A lot of teams seem intrigued by the guy, just nobody is ready to give him a start outside of preseason. I wonder if Rhule (never will happen) ever cut PJ how long he would stay on waivers? My guess is a significant amount of time.
  9. Fellas, Icky will be GONE by #6 unfortunately. He's steadily moving up boards. No, not top 10, top FIVE. Not only that, but I have seen him now #1 overall (no, that's not a typo) and #2 overall. https://draftwire.usatoday.com/2022/01/19/2022-nfl-mock-draft-dane-brugler-ikem-ekwonu-north-carolina-state/ Already posted in a different thread...Daniel Jerimiah has him #2 overall.
  10. McAdoo would be an upgrade as an interim coach, just as long as he's not named the permanent head coach.
  11. Used to it, yes, but does 'Browns' still get mocked and ridiculed after all these years? Sure it does, you even pointed it out yourself. While 'Commanders' (lol) might become normalized, it will most likely always be made fun of. I know I will.
  12. Rhule already has Pickett QB1 on his mental draft board. Dude will weasel...I mean, convince the rest of the staff he's the best player in the draft. Rhule should take his millions and open a car lot. He won't have to put in near the amount of time and still kill it. He can sale you a sh!t stained pair of underwear and tell you that decorative stripes are all the rage now...that you got a steal for $10.
  13. Named after a person, the name-sake of the team actually. I'm surprised ol' Danny boy didn't at least float the idea of Washington Snyders.
  14. It's better than Commanders. Heck, I didn't even have a marketing team or poll focus groups. I'm nearly certain that Commanders was not the fan favorite.
  15. I wonder if Dale Jr. is finally ready to jump ship and support his home team? Anyone outside of the DC region (local fan base) that still supports that team is about as nuts as their owner.
  16. Rhule can't help it, it's like he has to draft his former college players as vindication that he was a talented recruiter in college. Rhule: 'Hey everyone! Look, another one of former players made it to the NFL...look, look, look...see I did have an eye for talent in college! Can someone pat me on the back? I can't reach it no more.'
  17. The Redskins was my favorite team before the Panthers, but after Jack Kent Cook was no longer the owner things went downhill rather quickly. Even when the Panthers came along I would say Washington was my 2nd favorite team. Snyder has completely ruined that organization and I no longer care one iota about them...and quite honestly haven't for many years now.
  18. I get how Redskins can be offensive, but why couldn't they have stuck with the Native American theme? Tribe, Warriors, Natives etc... Literally nobody outside of the media that HAS to call them this ridiculous that will actually use this joke name.
  19. Commies is so fitting of DC right now. They probably just polled the local folks who thought it would be a wonderful name.
  20. Campen seems like a honest genuinely good dude. I hope he survives the Rhule era.
  21. Explain that to half the Huddle. Draft a QB=Superb Owl!!!
  22. Lol, moving UP for a QB this year! Heck, we could move back and still get one.
  23. CEO, Cheerleader extraordinaire officiate. Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaah Team!
  24. You know crap is getting weird when I pie 4corners.
