  1. Chubba is not a power back, he's not a 3rd down back and he's not overly elusive. He has one thing, straight line speed. If he gets the corner on the outside or the OL provides a decent lane for him to hit, yeah, Chubba looks good. However, In the NFL, one-trick ponies don't last too long.
  2. Not a Chubba fan and never will be. Foreman should be the #2 back and Chubba the 3rd down spec...crap, never mind.
  3. Hekker is our QB3, at least on game days.
  4. Yes. It's a deep QB draft. Baker likely will just be a mediocre QB for us. Corral is an unknown. Unless Baker somehow turns into Aaron Rogers, we need to look to the future.
  5. Yeah, the center is supposed to hold a common thread with all three circles, but it doesn't. Baker has nothing in common with either USC's, Carolina (North or South) or Sam Darnold. I think that's the joke.
  6. The Gamecocks portion makes no sense unless it merely shares the USC moniker.
  7. GUYS! $4M cap hit. Why does everyone think Erving is getting cut? I get he's not worth the money he's getting paid, but that doesn't mean he's getting cut.
  8. Daley/Erving/Jordan. I wouldn't let the first team reps that Jordan got at the start of camp fool you. Jordan is a LG and that's it. Daley and Erving can play tackle. While Jordan may be a slightly better LG than Daley or Erving, his limitations elsewhere may make him expendable.
  9. Outside of Bozeman's injury and potentially LG, the starting OL is actually set. Ickey, BC/Jordan, Bozeman, Corbett and Moton. I don't think Brown, Tecklenburg, Horton or Erving is pushing for a starting spot. Elflein may get the nod at center until Bozeman is healthy again. Mays is good depth but isn't taking Corbett of Moton's job on the right side. Camp competition is over, let the 1's all run together and get some continuity.
  10. He and Mays were the right side swing guys. I guess Mays made him expendable. I figured he would. Mays can play all five positions, he ain't getting cut. Brown and/or Horton should be the next out the door. Pure guards and not very got at it either.
  11. I predict Baker misses about 5 games and the Panthers keep his salary at $4.9 million. Am I right?
  12. This dude has been banned countless times for the same thing...trying to apply numerology to predict outcomes of the Panthers' fortunes.
  13. IOL, DE and LB depth. Obviously CMC staying healthy as well as other key players. Our coaching staff being able to make in-game adjustments.
  14. In other braking news, the sun is hot. People have been asking the Panthers to drop this charade for a few weeks now. Thank goodness it's over.
  15. Tecklenburg is expendable and certainly will be signed to the PS. Bozeman, Elflein and Mays all can play center. Actaually, so can Erving in a pinch and has in his past. Teck can't play OT. Again, the only reason Erving is cut is for salary cap room, not because any of the bubble guys are better than him.
  16. I agree almost entirely. I don't see keeping 11 DBs while only keeping 6 LBs. I think we pick up a DE after cuts. We are really thin there. I'd also like to acquire another IOL and LB after cuts too.
  17. Could be, but if you add up all the O-linemen, that would be keeping one-dimensional guards over Erving that can play multiple positions, namely LT. Granted he's not great at any of them, but Jordan, Brown and Horton over him? Eh, I don't see it. Not unless it's purely for salary cap room.
  18. The only coaches getting the axe is if things go south quickly and Tepper demands changes, but that won't happen. You know it won't be Snow either.
  19. There's no rush at this time. During the season, it would have to be a quick decision, but not this early. Corral is heading to IR, it's just how the team wants to handle it--whether they feel they need him back or he's able to come back versus having to cut a guy they want to keep on the 53 man roster just to send Corral to IR as soon as the roster is set and hope said player clears waivers in order to re-sign him.
  20. I don't think we keep 11 DBs. Plus, even if we do only keep two QBs, I think the extra spot goes to a WR. The guys on the bubble at WR have more potential impact for the team than an extra corner.
  21. And may not until the initial 53 is made. If a player goes to IR before the 53 man roster is set, he is out for the entire year without the ability to come back. It wouldn't shock me that Corral makes the initial 53 man roster before heading to IR so he could come back later in the season when healthy enough.
  22. I like Robinson over Chandler and we aren't keeping six safeties. Hartsfield will take a safety spot. Who is Barnes supplanting to be CB #5? Taylor? STO? I don't see him sticking over both of those guys. Let me rephrase, shouldn't stick over both of those guys.
