  1. So the NFL is now the equivalent to horse shoes where close is good enough. Got it.
  2. I would disagree about the 1-15 season feeling the worst. We were 7-9 before and after that year, so no long term stench. Also we started out 1-0 that season as well. The games were close (sound familiar) up until the last quarter of the season when the players finally threw in the towel. This is different. This has been a downward spiral. A pattern of failure. Seifert got canned after the 2001 season and with a new HC incoming, there was optimism about that. With Rhule's 7-year contract even if he continues to lose, will Tepper actually eat that contract? Who knows? Richardson canned Capers after a couple of subpar seasons and canned Seifert after only one really bad year. I have no faith in Rhule's coaching ability or Tepper's ability to swallow his pride and do the right thing. Again, this is currently the worst and I go back all the way to 1995.
  3. FYI, only the the 1992 Chargers made the playoffs after going 0-4 in modern era. Certainly Rhule can lose two straight, right? Oh, and after he does, someone please share this with ballz Tepper. There will be no need to carry on to game five with that doofus.
  4. You might have some closet Saints fans this weekend.
  5. If this meeting is occurring, boy would I love to be a fly on the wall!
  6. Ickey gave up just one sack only in his second game. He gave up 2 to one of the best edge rushers in the entire League last week in his very first NFL game. Dude will be just fine.
  7. Never take a blocking TE early. IIRC, Tremble was a Rhule guy in that draft, meaning he was a guy Rhule targeted himself.
  8. Nixon and Snow for certain. He can have them though. The rest of the guys will want to keep their paychecks for the remainder of the season.
  9. Interim HC material? I just posted in another thread as long as a Rhule toady doesn't take the helm (and there's only a very few) I'm cool with canning Rhule right now.
  10. McAdoo and Wilks are two coaches that are not Rhule guys, so I agree. The other Rhule toadies will fall in line if they want to keep their job the rest of the year.
  11. If we lose to the Saints, we are statistically still alive for the playoffs, but in reality--short of a miracle--we will be eliminated. Teams starting 0-3 are essentially eliminated from the playoffs "Since 1980, only 3.4% of teams to start 0-3 made the playoffs!"
  12. Yup, 4 in the opener and 2 yesterday. That's an improvement game over game. Remember, these guys are not gelled yet because of 'open camp competitions' and all. If they stay at 2 or less sacks a game, then the O-line will be improved.
  13. Maybe the Saints are going to return us the favor for getting Jim Mora fired.
  14. Tepper will eat that money when his ego is involved. He's a billionaire, $30M to him is like $300 to us. Yeah, it sucks to lose it, but not really going to hurt the bank account.
  15. Baker only had two sacks yesterday. Granted, I'd like zero, but it's not like he getting pounded into the turf frequently.
  16. To demonstrate how truly awful that list is, Rhule would have to go 0-17 this year to TIE for #1 at .200.
  17. Sorry bro, not true...at least not to this point. Seifert has 16 wins at this stage by year 3.
  18. Are the Panthers players 'silent quitting' on Rhule?
  19. He ties Tom Fears at .277 with a loss next week. A loss after that puts Rhule in the to 10.
  20. Rhule only needs to lose the next 5 games to get to 25%. That's elite, ummm....dreadful company.
  21. Who needs emotion when you got analytics. With solid analytics, a team of zombies could win...or so Tepper and Rule would have us think.
  22. No, this time Newton will say the chant is "re-hire Rhule." The fans wants him to get a contract extension!
