The Ian Thomas extension, lol!

And people are wondering why I am mocking a TE to us in round 1 next draft.
-
Dude looks like he's running in quicksand.

We’re going old school with the end zone font

Still have plenty of swag stored away from back in the day with that font. -

So Baker can channel his inner Delhomme. -
Crazy thing is we got him fired in NO after a thorough beat down.

McCall's only knocks for me are his size (build; height is okay) and doesn't have the biggest arm. Otherwise he has exactly what you want in a QB: smart, has moxy, able to read defenses, multiple throwing angles, able to hit tight windows, mobile (not a running QB though) and a leader.

And a 188 QB rating; 3rd in the FBS right now only behind Stroud and Duggan.
-
Another 3 TD passing, 1 TD rushing and 0 pick game for McCall. That is becoming his average stat line.

Should Shenault get more playing time?
45catfan replied to YourLastThought's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why play Shenault when when can have Robbie,Thomas,Tremble and Hubbard out there? -
A style similar to this I think. It seems fine but then just falls apart.

And the coaching staff on the new team is competent enough to maximize their potential.

It's passive, so no worries. The rowdy days are long gone and the reason it's no fun anymore. You sneeze too loudly and people text security on you.

Just a friendly reminder about today's victory...

Us: Browns, Giants and Saints; 2 home games Them: Chargers, Cards and Titans; 1 home game. The Raiders will finish ahead of us even playing in the AFC West, the NFL's hardest division. -
Some good things, yes. You can't win a game and not have some good things happen. I'm a big picture guy and one win against a really bad Saints team isn't swaying my opinion of what needs to occur for this team to finally get o the right track. Rhule will get a few more wins this year, no doubt, but ultimately it's up to Tepper to do the right thing and get a new HC. My biggest fear is we get to 6 or 7 wins by season's end, not realistically in the playoff hunt and Tepper points to a couple games improvement over his 5 game barrier as cause to retain Rhule.

The NFL is set up where parity is king. Yes, there were some upsets yesterday and more to come. There are a few elites clubs, a few garbage teams and a WHOLE LOT of mediocre teams. That's why being a basement dweller is so damn frustrating. We can't even get to mediocre.

My bad, I usually pick up on it, but the sunshine crew in here this morning has my sarcasm radar skewed.
-
Our QBs just play with broken egos.
-
My biggest worry is the offense that CCU runs. They run the option to set up the pass. After getting burned in the option game, their opponents roll more defenders in the box and McCall lights them up. I mean, if we get rid of this staff and get a new one that embraces RPO concepts, that would play to McCalls strengths. Of course fewer and fewer of these college QBs are coming into the League as pure pocket passers anyway.
-
Reps are needed to hit wide open WRs? Who knew? Some of his throws yesterday were simply arse. Protection, check. Route recognition, check. WR beat his man, check. Baker able to complete the process, nope. When 90% of the the process to complete the pass is there and just the ability do what any NFL QB should be able to do and hit a wide open WR is not be done, you can't go back 6 weeks ago and complain about splitting reps.
-
Baker was completely healthy, so there's that.
-
And why not? I mean since we won yesterday all of Matt Rhule's blunders for the past 2+ years magically disappeared. We are going on a 15-0 run now!
-
Herbert was playing with broken ribs.

Our defense has a few of those type games per season like yesterday where they simply dominate. For whatever reason, it comes and goes. If the Rhuleaid drinkers think our defense is going to look like that every game the rest of the year, then the poison has already taken affect. Granted the offense probably won't look as bad, but they aren't turning into a well-oiled machine that the defense can appear to be from time-to-time.
