C'mon PJ, play well enough not to get benched and get the following start after that. Beyond the next two games with PJ playing, I could care less who starts.
-
I'm still bullish on McCall. Dude just doesn't make many errors. I think his draft stock will jump after it is all said and done. Not first rounder, as high as the second. He gives me Russell Wilson vibes, but not as short. Wilson just made plays even though he was never really viewed a true gunslinger. I get it, he doesn't have the biggest arm, but right now we have dudes with big arms that are turnover machines.

Carson Wentz was having a MVP-type season before getting hurt. Not to mention Nick Foles looked like a like a Pro Bowler once taking over too. Foles wasn't a rookie, but didn't squat before nor since then.
-
An ex-QB HC drafting HIS rookie QB in year-1 could not be set up better.
-
The Colts looked really bad in exactly two games this year, one being yesterday against a Bill Belichick coached team in Foxboro. The rest were competitive with and OT loss and a tie. They still have one more win than us.
-
I just don't see it. He has Devin Funchess written all over him.
-
Yup, immediately moved to the top of my list. Not a young offensive mind, but a seasoned offensive mind and would be his second gig. Think about if nobody gave Belichick a second chance after floppling in Cleveland?
-
Purely a Rhule move. The post-draft film even confirmed this. Rhule looked at Scott and said 'let's take Fletch.' Apparently they had a bro-mance at the Senior Bowl.
-
As I see it, green is good, red is bad and grey is neutral or too early. Green-12 Red-5 Neutral-4 The good outweighs the bad, even if the neutral moves are added in.
-
What is crazy is a ran a simulation where if we had two first rounders this year we got Stroud AND Michael Mayer.
-
I'm okay with Tabor too, but honestly ST coaches are a dime a dozen. Indifferent with Kuglar. If Campen wants him to stay, then that's fine.
-
All these will be gone. As mentioned earlier by others, the only current coach needing retained is Campen.

Pie to those on this board… you’re here when it’s ROCK BOTTOM

We didn't get blown out 35-0 in the first half of any of those games though, so........ I was at that last game versus Patriots in the rain and stayed to the final whistle with the stadium about 98% empty when the team absolutely gave up in the second half and STILL didn't get whooped this bad. -
Prior to that though, other teams were interested in Burns too. The Rams offer was the last one with sources confirmed. I can't remember if the reports were confirm, but the Eagles were sniffing around with two first and one of them were believed to be this year. As a new HC, having two first round picks in your first season is VERY attractive. That could even lure in a big name coach even though we lack a franchise QB. I know a dude that is a DIE-HARD Packers fan and he said that a second was the highest they were willing to give up, that future first were absolutely out of the question.

I can get us to $23.5M is cap space prior to FA and the draft with six moves. Extensions: Burns: $12M Brown: $2.3M Luvu: $2.1M Cap Casualties: Elflein: $2M Wilson: $2.6M Haynes: $2.5M

Agreed. I thought the exact same thing. I figured we would be stuck with Neal. The Giants new GM is an ex-Panthers guy. I'm not sure if there was a phone call made where some deceptive talk about drafting Thibedoux occurred that spooked them. Likely they just needed the pass rusher more than OT and didn't want to take any chances of missing out on him while they were already on the clock, as minimal of a risk as it was at any rate had they waited two picks later.
-
I'm was stunned that the Giants didn't take him at #5. Man am I glad they didn't! I was still nervous that Rhule would do something stupid, however. Even though Ickey was the obvious choice for us at #6, I was still nervous until his name actually was called.
-
That's the reason we need to move back in the draft a minimum of once, more realistically TWICE. Lots of holes and a tight cap. Our entire draft class will need to make the 53-man roster.
-
I've been barking up that tree for a few years now. I like Mayes as a solid IOL depth--IOL#4. I'd rather draft a center that has played it his entire college career.
-
I still can't believe we turned down the Eagles offer for Burns. Full blown rebuild coming our way and turned down two 1st rounders, one likely this year. I get it, can't make the tank too obvious for multiple reasons. I mean, I was cool keeping Moore even though he looks like he doesn't give a crap anymore. Firing coaches at this point is simply window dressing. We are a bad team even if some dead weight is let go.

Rhule's draft crush. No, seriously.
-
Lol, yes we do and a lot of draft sites don't have TE as a draft need.
-
Again, If we somehow drop out of the top 5 by draft day, move back and take Michael Mayer.
-
So if anyone doesn't have TE as a top 3 draft need now, there's no hope for you
