  1. One more start after this week and we get to keep our 4th round pick in 2024! C'mon PJ, don't sh!t the bed now!!!
  2. That Ian Thomas contract is looking better all the time!
  3. I don't even know where to begin...this is the NFL and average means sucks. You would be correct, our TEs suck.
  4. Rd1-QB Rd2a-TE Rd2b-DE Rd3-MLB Rd4a-WR Rd4b-OLB Rd5-C
  5. A hold, BUT the defense had a penalty too, so they offset. The play therefore didn't count.
  6. An extension needs to happen anyway to help out with next year's cap. Fortunately for us Brown is earning it.
  7. While both true, that doesn't mean Marshall will be substantially better. He's not too shabby, but for a former 2nd rounder, he's got to show a lot more.
  8. I'm not sold on Marshall yet. He shouldn't have been benched all year, but he's hardly exploded on the scene either. It's a wait and see.
  9. After today? Foreman for sure.
  10. When the offense has been THIS anemic for such a long time? It's a step in the right direction. Look Matt, take your millions stop sucking off the Panthers hind tit. I guess winning 5 games a year is a feat by holding teams under 17 points is worth beating your chest over, but finally showing a pulse on offense and the defense having an uncharacteristic off game is something I'm okay with.
  11. By holding them to the Rhule threshold of under 17 points. Three squandered opportunities today and the 17 point threshold wasn't the deciding factor.
  12. We didn't get our arses totally kicked in ATL is new too. Normally it's a cake walk for them against us at home.
  13. I wouldn't mind him staying on as the DC. I'm over defensive minded HC, however. With a 99.9% chance we are drafting a QB, Wilks isn't that dude to develop him.
  14. No, unfortunately. That's the reason the next HC hire is so crucial. I like Wilks, but it needs to be a offensive minded dude with a background in developing QBs. However, I do not want to sign a wet nurse either. Waste of money and roster space.
  15. Yup, RBs can be had cheap and he's solid. A major chess piece that we shouldn't have to break the bank for.
  16. Scored 34 points (tie, only once before) Come from behind to take a team to OT on the road (never) Got in a second half shootout. (Rare if ever) Team didn't fold after conceding a late score (Rare, if ever) *Same team, but I can see a difference.
  17. Sequence of events my friend. No personal foul, just a standard PAT and a TON less pressure. That cannot be discounted. Eddie did choke, but he shouldn't have been in that situation in the first place. Secondly, DJ shouldn't have been laughing off the penalty. He only looked remorseful after the kick was missed.
  18. Eh, a bit more than that, but things that can be overcome in one solid offseason for certain.
  19. I have no problem continuously signing him to cheap 1-year deals as the #3 QB. For what he is...a #3 QB, PJ is actually solid dude. Please don't get it twisted, he's a good QB when we are QB depleted, but he's no #1. Put like this, I'd put PJ up against any other #3 QB in the League and feel good about it.
  20. I'm still up for trading Burns. Look, TWO first rounders for a pass rush specialist...not even an ELITE pass rush specialist, is more than a fair trade. I was going to start another thread on this but, in a nutshell, we are honestly only a few players away from being a really good team. If we come away this draft with 5 or even 6 picks in the first 100, then this team not only can compete, but make some noise next season.
  21. At times he did, but that's my point, true alpha #1s bring it every game, every snap. How many times did you see Smitty have these type of consistency issues? The only reason I'm not totally bagging on him is he did come up clutch on that last score. Prior to that, his performance today was spotty at best.
  22. Can't...his contract won't allow it. We'd eat a ridiculous amount of dead cap.
  23. Dude needs to play with the heart he did as a rookie. At times he seems to just go through the motions. True #1s don't have the ebbs and flows with consistency that DJ has.
  24. Ok, if you think that a standard PAT has the same amount of pressure as *essentially* a FG, then you've never kicked. I have. It went from business as usual to a freaking pressure cooker.
