  1. It means it was a QB needy draft, and it very much is. No teams other than the Cardinals and Lions are 100% sold their QBs. The Cardinals don't necessarily love Kyler either, they are married to that contract though. Th Lions are rolling with Goff. This is a decent QB draft and only because of the top 2 guys.
  2. I could see this QB class mirroring the 2014 QB draft class.
  3. Brissett on a 2-year deal is the way to go, trade back, get more capital and take the rookie QB plunge next year. I've thought about this a good deal and this seems the most realistic scenario for early success. If Reich/staff sew up the rest of the roster over the next two drafts and FA THEN drop the rookie QB in on a nearly complete team, even the rookie struggles the rest of the roster is strong enough to grind through the growing pains.
  4. Re-sign Burris for a backup safety and sign Brissett as a bridge QB in FA--former Wolfpack guys all over the Panthers! I can think of about 4-5 UNC homers on this board that would be less than thrilled, lol!
  5. That was the only front office vacancy, correct?
  6. Just specialist and skill positions, catch being TE since they are required to block linemen some. I very much want to know what linemen and LBs bench. Completely relevant.
  7. If and this is a big IF, the coaches think he's the franchise QB for the next 4-5 years, then sure. But as a two-year bridge QB? That's a lot of assets tied up for something that's not a long term solution, especially when that money can be allocated to other positions to shore them up.
  8. So here's how I hope this goes down: Indy trades up to #1 for Young/Stroud and the Texans snags the other. The Seahawks take Levis. We won't move up for AR; too risky. Vegas takes AR. With all the first round QBs gone we snag Hooker in the 2nd. I'll be happy with that.
  9. It's a sellers market and we are going to be the suckers to fall for it. The Bears and Cardinals are going to absolutely fleece some teams.
  10. Question, would you be okay with Levis or you just firmly in the Stroud camp? Curious.
  11. Rodgers-Headcase at the end of career, Jackson-$$$/ multiple 1st AND injury prone. Watson is a predatory womanizer who hadn't played in a couple of years. So no, none of those are/were extremely attractive options.
  12. And the reason I was screaming form the mountain tops for an offensive minded HC. No slight to Wilks, great coach and a great leader, but it would have been more of the same.
  13. The fact that QBs in this class are in any comparison to Trevor is funny. Desperation induced delusion.
  14. The fact that fans are still latching on to Fields shows the doubt in this year's QB class whether people want to admit it or not. They don't want to admit it, lol!
  15. Why I like this one so much. a) Developmental QB--People need to give up on us getting Stround/Young--AR/Levis not Day 1 starters b) Franchise TE--FINALLY c) A true NT and true 5-tech d) TWO WRs--one boundary, one outside/slot flexible. e) Three down RB f) Ball hawking FS g) MLB to replace Shaq h) Backup center or primary center is Bozeman isn't retained and another guard for Corbett injury insurance. i) Hybrid safety/nickle LB Pretty much checked every box and with solid players too!!!!
  16. This is the best one yet. Not sure whether to call it my masterpiece, but pretty darn close.
  17. The chart largely shows teams that have their franchise QBs and has complete trust in their abilities run, run, pass the least.
  18. Young/Stroud go top 4 and we are not moving into the top 3. I am not high on Levis nor AR. I hope all the QB needy teams ahead of us get nervous and start leapfrogging one another and by #9, all four are gone. I's rather take a flyer pick on Hooker in the 2nd than Levis or AR.
  19. Ugh, the drop off from Olsen/Shockey to Thomas/Tremble is nauseating. Almost 1,000 yards vs. 371 yards...12 y/r vs. 9 y/r...9 TDs to 3 TDs...32 y/g to 11 y/g.
  20. Preach it man, I still don't understand why some teams *cough* Panthers *cough* don't value/no longer value the TE position. Even still, outside of a select team or two--Ravens come to mind, teams don't even bother to invest in a solid #2. Olsen and Shockey were a stud duo!
  21. The bold is where I see these guys going. IMO, we GOT to get one of these guys before the 4th.
  22. Thomas needs to be just earmarked a June 1 cut and be done with him, especially if we sign a top end FA and draft a day 2 TE. At that point, he's just an expensive backup.
  23. I hear ya Captain Obvious, but $40M versus, say, $15M is pretty significant considering their comparable stats aren't all that different.
