  1. Fell? Yes, but we both know that happen and I am 100% AGAINST trading up. We finally built up some draft capital just to piss it away. He's the one QB I would be okay with drafting this year in the first round.
  2. But, but, but, look at his arm!!!!!! (standing in a puddle of drool). signed--Huddle 'Big Arm' fanboy club
  3. I would argue TE and WR are a bigger need than drafting a QB this year for what we will be left with (Richardson/Levis).
  4. Bingo! FYI, this QB class thinned out so drastically and so fast that some team is going to REALLY reach for Richardson. He should be a second round pick, but he'll end up in the top half the first, maybe even top 10. I hope it isn't us. He's a boom or bust prospect that will need a lengthy developmental period, basically the Jordan Love road. We don't have that luxury.
  5. Extra picks are worth it no matter where in round they fall. Sure you want them to be higher, but even at the end of the round is better than no extra picks at all. Even if the 49ers win the SB, the trade would have been worth it. Having CMC here yesterday would not have kept Henderson from getting torched all game AND we got rid of his mega-contract.
  6. Wilks is great motivator and leader. What he is not is a great head coach. Just because he could earn the respect of the locker room quickly and get guys to buy into his philosophy doesn't mean he's an excellent Xs and Os guy or game day manager. He's better than Rhule by a mile, but that's not a ringing endorsement because Rhule was utter garbage.
  7. Houston, we have a problem. Seriously, I doubt they take Young over Stroud now. I'm not moving to #2 for dude will stay on IR in the NFL.
  8. 247Sports had McCall, Leary and Hartman all tied with a grade of 94 at the top of the portal list for QBs. Card was just under them with a 93.
  9. No, you are grasping at straws. Just outside the top 10 and you say say that our OL is dragging the entire offense down. Who is desperate?
  10. There's no such thing as a perfect roster, but there is such thing as perfect timing though. There's too much turmoil, change and upheaval for a rookie QB to function correctly here next year. Let the 2023 staff go through their growing pains, lessons learned and understanding of *THEIR roster before trying to bring in the franchise QB. Again this isn't 2011 where we had the #1 overall and we got to get the pick of the litter. We are talking about QB3/4 here in what turned out to be a dud of a draft for QBs due to NIL and the transfer portal.
  11. I know you guys are tired of the "wait one more year", but I really mean it. Get our TE1, WR1/2, MLB, DE (Burns bookend) and hopefully couple other complimentary parts...we are there. Then if you want to sell the farm for a rookie QB in the 2024 draft, then so be it. Plus, we are not moving all the way up for Stroud. It's Levis or Richardson and I'm not thrilled with either of those options.
  12. The VERY reason you DON'T draft the QB until you have some pieces around him...and that a competent HC with a retread QB can work. One game, two points proven. *FYI, I'm not against a rookie QB, but it ain't the time.*
  13. The NFL paid off CJ Henderson? Isn't that a serious conflict of interest?
  14. How? TEs are generally a QBs security blanket. So a mediocre-to-bad OL should have MORE TE utilization, not less. A team with a superior OL that doesn't require an in-line blocking TE will opt for the extra WR nearly every time on passing downs. Your logic doesn't make sense.
  15. Ok, we strive for #1 OL while we languish in TE purgatory. You can do two things at once. I agree our TEs are underutilized...because they suck. As an OC , I would be hesitant to use them too.
  16. Not a thing...stay put and take the best weapon to HELP out a QB. If you want to look at a franchise squandering their rookie QB with a sh!t roster, you have to turn no further than to the Chicago Bears for the blue print NOT to use.
  17. Fine? As in #42 and #51 in yards kind of fine? Setting the bar a little low. Our OL is top half of the League and that's the problem? We don't have a TE cracking the top 32 in yards...you know, better than at least one other team's #2 guy.
  18. Circa 2021 OL? Dude, this is the best OL we've had in yeeaaarrrs. Not exactly sure about needing to beef it up more. Our TE room is down right atrocious, so yes, it is a problem. Getting a stud TE isn't the answer, but it's a crucial position that's sorely needs addressing.
  19. Eh, when your TE1 sucks, running down the remainder of the depth chart is kinda pointless.
  20. Hooker will be shelved most of the year (late season ACL tear). Rattler probably won't declare. Duggan, Heaner and Rising are all Day 3 guys. Duggan may go as high as the 4th the rest are 6th and 7th rounders. Tune may be an early day 3 guy with an impressive offseason, but as for now, he's lumped into the end of the draft crowd. Much more accomplished QBs went back to school because they were getting a day 3 grade. Now, as the class has drastically thinned out, some of these guys may get overvalued. I hope teams *ahem* the Panthers *ahem* can tell the difference between a weak spot and true value.
  21. Actually no, the mid-teens is right where I want to be.
  22. Red shirted and a year of Covid eligibility. Your not wrong though, he started playing at Wake Forest in 2018.
  23. That's exactly what I'm afraid of. Levis has the physical tools, but lacks the mental aspect of the game seemingly. The people that were knocking Trey Lance for being essentially underdeveloped would be very hypocritical to be on Richardson's bandwagon. Lacking the needed snaps to be successful is the same no matter what college competition faced and simply because Richardson played (extremely) mediocre football in the SEC doesn't make him any more ready than Lance. For this reason I'm not in favor of drafting 3rd year college QBs, namely RSOs.
