  1. The problem with teams tanking this year is they can't lose worse than us and Chicago is laughing all the way. Sean Peyton would LOVE some Caleb Williams, but the Bears (thanks to us) has a firm grasp on that #1 pick.
  2. Tanking still would have gotten us Bryce Young. The only difference is the draft capital we gave up to move up.
  3. We cold hope the Dolphins just implode, right? I mean literally, because we know they won't figuratively do that on the football field. Forfeit is about the only chance we got.
  4. This is the kind of intensity we've been lacking! Too bad he's retired.
  5. If somehow Tepper figured we would get the #1 pick at QB (a non-generational one at that) and go without significant growing pains this season, then the man is more delusional than I thought.
  6. Through next season, but if he keeps losing this year, I'd bench him and reboot next season. Nobody is above benching, even #1 picks. Losing game after game after game is NOT giving him confidence and it sure as heck isn't doing the rest of the team any favors.
  7. He told the coaches he's got some new "special" gloves.
  8. Jean Fridays, though...am I right? I don't know if the Big Cat is laughing at Tepper in the hereafter or rolling over in his grave for what David's done to his beloved team.
  9. BUT WE HAVE TO GET OUR QB THIS DRAFT...NO MATTER WHAT!!!! Me:
  10. He signed his contract, so yeah, he literally signed up for this. Also, #1 picks usually go to bad teams, so if this is somehow taking him by surprise...well, SURPRISE!
  11. I've sworn off the Huddle twice before, one of those times approximately four years in duration. It has it's ebbs and flows. One instance where I quit posting was a time when the personal attacks went nearly unchecked by mods and another instance where a mod (long since gone) and I got into it. During good times this place isn't too bad, but times like this, it gets pretty intolerable. As long as mods doesn't pick favorites and keeps the personal attacks in check by poo flinging posters, I'll continue to linger around...for now. Enjoy your retirement Mr. Scot.
  12. Under 50% isn't acceptable of a NFL QB, especially the #1 overall pick. I know he's a rookie, but he's got to do better.
  13. 4 of 9 for a TD and pick in the 10-20 yard range. You guys say it's Frank play calling, but Frank isn't the one who is lukewarm completing passes beyond 10 yards.
  14. After taking a few more on the chin, maybe Bryce's ankle injury flares up again. It's frustrating to know that QB play is the difference in the 0-5 and 2-3 or 3-2.
  15. Yep, It would have been better to have eased Bryce in, like after the bye week, then to start him right out of the gate and get abused. Nobody is going to take it easy on a rookie QB in the NFL. Now we are looking at 0-17 as a real possibility because the front office has already made the commitment to ride with him no matter what. At least if Bryce went winless after the bye, Dalton would have gotten us at least a few wins to make this season a little more tolerable.
  16. Morale is a real thing. The entire team can go in a funk (already probably are) or hurt Bryce's ego with a mini-benching. If Bryce is as mentally strong as they claim, sitting him for a few games to get this thing back on track shouldn't scar him. He should embrace it honestly and learn from a veteran for a bit.
  17. Bryce does not see the whole field. Guys are open and he's not finding them.
  18. The one shot he took long and outside the numbers was his most inaccurate throw of the day with a clean pocket.
  19. We won't get a team's current #1, it has to be a guy that could be a #1 given the opportunity, snaps and experience.
  20. Kupp can't stay healthy. The Nacua kid is killing it though.
