  1. Fields will be traded...bank on it. He has been looking better too, so a team may roll the dice over drafting a rookie. Also, Jones' contract will be too expensive to get out from under after only one year.
  2. I wonder if that's why Brown called such shi-tty short 3rd and 4th down plays? I mean, what's he got left to lose, his job? That could be a thumb in the eye of Tepper.
  3. That's every year where the QB needs are greater than what actually gets drafted. You forget about free agency. Unless this draft is one for the history books, six QBs have only been drafted in the first round ONCE before...1983.
  4. Yeah, and to make it look worse, we don't have players that can execute it either.
  5. What would you guys do is just ONE of these guys are sitting there with pick #33 and we pass? History says about 99% chance at least one of them will be.
  6. Rooting hard for the Cards and Pats to get another couple of wins. I want pick #33 locked in. I'd hate to screw up and win a couple of meaningless games just to miss out on the top pick in the second round.
  7. Any and ALL incomplete passes are on the WRs for the cope crowd. If Justin Jefferson were here, Young would be leading the Pro Bowl balloting! Overthrown ball--quit on route. Underthrown ball--wrong route. Inaccurate pass plausibly could be caught-- bad hands. Dropped ball-DUH. I mean, Bryce could have been the first QB in NFL history without an incomplete pass if only for those darn WRs!!!
  8. I could care less who actually wrote it, I'm talking about philosophy. it was reported that the playbook was about a 60:40 philosophy/influence collaboration between Reich and Brown.
  9. Before garbage time stats come into play with about 5 minutes remaining: Yes, that's a 37% completion rate.
  10. No one else from this staff. It would be idiotic not to interview outside candidates.
  11. Yup, STs have taken a step back since Tabor has become the interim HC.
  12. Not a bad idea. Players obviously are the same, but at least the man knows how to call a game.
  13. So we give it to Sanders after he's gassed on the long run and not give it to Chuba who is our goal line back? You can't make this crap up!
  14. Missed Thielen. No anticipation throws WHAT SO EVER.
  15. His OL was elite, his WRs were elite and his flaws were masked because of such. If you look at his highlight videos at Bama, he has time to sit in the pocket all day and usually at least one of his elite weapons would make some Vanderbilt 2-star corner look silly. When you are WIDE @SS OPEN, the QB doesn't have to be pinpoint accurate, just in the neighborhood, and those elite WRs made those catches. Take home points--in the NFL: -WRs don't often dupe DBs to get wide open, busted coverages are rare -OL's, even good ones, can only buy you so much time -Tight window throws are M-A-N-D-A-T-R-Y to be effective -Got to be able to make ALL the throws--can't have a limited tool bag. This is why Bryce will never make it in the NFL, not as a effective starter.
  16. I'm not the biggest Justin Fields fan, but he would be a monster upgrade.
  17. Correct, 40% to be accurate. So even Brown's contribution to the playbook is garbage? I'm asking because I see several narratives backfiring here on the Huddle since Reich's firing.
  18. Just LOL! A whopping 3 completions for 29 yards. Franchise!!!
  19. Welcome to the party! Anyone else want to join? No invitations needed. Dude, I've been at this realization for WEEKS now.
  20. Yet we will pay Burns and probably let Brown walk.
  21. The Panthers are not concerned with his footwork apparently. Him flipping his hips just before releasing the ball is the biggest tell in the NFL He might as well hold up a sign in his other hand saying 'I'm passing now!'
