Young to Miami (Trade proposal via fox)
45catfan replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
If this was real proposal and we didn't jump all over it, I would be calling for Morgan's head just Like i did Fitterer's when he turned down the Rams trade for Burns. -
Heck, I'd give it a shot. The dude has everything you want but the in-game experience (reps) and understanding for the game at the pro level. The first I think has created the deficiency in the second. If he can stay healthy had get the pro game to click between the ears, the dude could be a stud.

As of right now, late October, I have the QBs stacked like: 1) Ward 2) Ewers 3) Sanders 4) Milroe 5) Dart 6) Gabriel 7) Howard 8 ) McCord 9) Beck 10) Rourke Ward I would take in the top 10 ONLY in a trade down. Ewers and Sanders I would take in round two, but obviously they won't be there. From Milroe on down I would take a flyer pick in the 3rd round or later.

Way, way, way too early(but maybe not) National Mock Drafts
45catfan replied to jfra78's topic in 2023 NFL Draft
I wouldn't be mad at Cam Ward, but this team is full dumpster fire mode and drafting a rookie is setting him up for failure. The rest of the QBs in this draft are at best backups outside of Ewers and he's going to need at least a year to sit before he's ready. Ewers is not worthy of a top 10 pick even though a desperate team will take him that high. -
Have You Ever Taken a Hiatus from This Team?
45catfan replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yup, I had the game on yesterday, but was doing things around the house so I would watch in spots. I knew the defense was garbage and did tasks when they were on the field, but at least tried to watch some of our offense. I should have not watched it at all, I might have got more things accomplished although I did get a good bit done. -
Don't blame me, I wanted Dallas Goedert in that 2018 draft, who now has 22 TDs and nearly 4000 receiving yards in his career, btw. Thomas barely has 1000 yards and 4 TDs in that same span. A third of those yards and half of his TDs come in his rookie season. So in a little over 5 seasons later, dude has amassed a whopping 600 yards and 2 TDs.

First off, I don't think anyone is calling for Canales to be fired. He's either going to grow into the position or not, but I think he gets 3 years minimum. I'm not going to delve into what is wrong with the team, I don't have all day nor do I want blisters on me fingers from all the typing. Moving on to your last point...I know people are sick of us trading guys, but you are correct, there needs to be a fire sale. We need to dump as much cap as possible, get younger and hoard as many draft picks as we can. Next year should be a real, honest to goodness REBUILD. Not a retool, not a tweak, not build on the fly, but a REAL rebuild.

So as much as a stadium beer. Eat and drink at a tailgate and that's a cheap 3 hours of...entertainment? I wonder how much stadium food gets tossed at the end with seats being so empty? I imagine the team store could be run with just a couple of employees on game days now.

Correct. If you don't understand that train of logic, well then, that's the reason you aren't a billionaire hedge fund manager. Me either, lol.
-
I would have taken any of those guys over Canales. Canales wasn't ready, period, here or anywhere else. I get the high energy, but we don't need a Cheerleader-in-Chief, we need grit. The team would probably get it's arse kicked by a high school girls flag football team. For a team of a bunch of dawgs, they got the mentality of newborn pups.

Moral of the story, Tepper gives a long leash to rookie HCs because they need time, but cans a veteran HC that doesn't have us a playoff contender by mid-season year 1 with a rookie QB. Does everyone got that? If not, you aren't following Tepper logic.
-
Can we officially stop with the 4th round steal narrative now? Especially as it pertains to TEs?
-
Point missed. We have looked worse this year all the way around with exception to the OL and now injuries have set in, they even look marginal. My point was Frank should not have got the plug pulled so fast last year, but Tepper will continue to do Tepper things. Frank did more with less and got the axe. Canales shouldn't get fire without a fair shake, but I also think he wasn't the right hire either.
-
I remember when Frank Reich got fired for getting blown out by 30+ points. Wait....
-
It's Obvious. I've seen a team quit and they looked better than this.
-
That's not stopping CBS for constantly showing him.
-
A new contract then. it's the Panthers way. We only pay the marginal players and let the good ones walk.
-
I thought Ian Thomas was a blocking machine?
-
It was a bad pass and even worse recognition by Sanders.
-
He was supposed to be in protection and/or be the hot read. He failed at one or both.
-
Nor did he know he was to block the free blitzer. Dude fugg'n sucks!

REPORT: Panthers will not trade Chuba Hubbard

Either that or trying to drive up the price. I hope it's the later. -
Panthers in the Market for a QB (again): 2025 Draft

*Shock* College football bios exaggerate height and weight! What did Bama's football page list Bryce as again? -

Dumb move. Take advantage of other team's desperation. We can easily replace him in the offseason. Simple example of supply and demand. If he has a demand now, take advantage of it instead of letting him test FA and likely still going elsewhere.
