  1. Mendoza have his typical day. A 300 yard, 4 TD, 0 INT, 92% completion game. Ho-hum, another day at the office. This is against Wisconsin too, mind you, not UNCC.
  2. Close enough, Darnold threw a 4 pick, 0 TD game. But yeah, keep to your one talking point.
  3. The most entertaining Sunday of regular season football as a Panthers fan ever, even though we didn't make the playoffs.
  4. Nope, doesn't work that way. Transfers are where they finish their college career, not where they start. Tua was their man, he's the QB they rode with and why Hurts transferred. My point remains and Hurts is a Sooner.
  5. How about stay away from Bama QBs? Name one successful one recently--NFL success.
  6. You know who else looked like crap? Sam Darold, who is right now the odds on favorite for NFL MVP.
  7. Lance had one season of starting experience at a D-II school and got hurt at the start of both seasons as a 49er. No, he really never got a real shot. Trey needed reps...a sh1t ton of them considering how green he was. It never materialized. He's been in the League four years now and in multiple offensive systems. At this point he's ready to compete for a starting job. Nobody in their right mind would hand him the starting job, but as someone already alluded to, like Delhomme, all he's looking for is the opportunity to compete for QB1. Delhomme left the Saints because he was firmly entrenched as QB2. Jake came here because we told him he could compete with Rodney Peete for QB1. That was enough to bring him to Charlotte, even though Rodney beat out Jake in camp. Herbert isn't going anywhere, so Trey is looking for a chance. That chance shouldn't be that steep of a contract and easy to get out of if need be.
  8. No falcons in the pic. I could make that pass too with no defenders around.
  9. Yeah, but there's a Tet-like WR in every draft nowadays. There's not a Tyler Warren comp every draft and that was the point I was trying to drive home to folks last spring. You draft the one that's a rarity when you have the chance. No telling if or when that opportunity will come around again for us. With Bryce, he'd likely have more yards...as TEs typically get the underneath routes and we have a QB that specializes in shallow underneath passes.
  10. When he was 21-years old and had only one season of starting experience of college football under his belt? He never should have come out, but this was prior to NIL money. The landscape has changed so much. RSOs literally have zero reason to come out in today's college football environment now they are compensated.
  11. Looking over White's stats, his biggest problem is he's a pick machine. Yes, he can move the ball, yes he can hit a big play, yes, he can throw TDs, but he's going to throw a number of INTs too.
  12. It's mid November. After Saturday, there's only two weeks of regular season left. I know, time flies. Yes, mocks are ramping up all over the place. Styles and Cooper Jr. are studs. Beck isn't a bad option for QB2. Not sure about he O-line guys.
  13. Realistically LB or Edge would be the best options, especially if we stay mid-round like we are now.
  14. We got bullied by a one win team...at home. We deserve to get pooed on.
  15. I get it, turn over every rock. I'm just saying out of the usual suspects like Garner Minshew, look at a dude that most people have turned the page on already.
  16. Dang it's like the Saints were reading the Huddle. We all said if a defense could take Rico away, and make Bryce beat them, it was a certain win for them. Which of you is the mole? Or it was that fugg'n obvious....
  17. His biggest problem was he was a one system, one year starting RSO at powerhouse DII school before declaring for the draft. All of that worked to his disadvantage. No idea how to work in a different system, started just one season (plus one more game) for ND St. who steamrolled over all the competition. While he was blowing out teams, it was DII talent after all. He honestly had zero business declaring for the draft. He clearly was not even close to being ready for the NFL, let alone a NFL blueblood like the 49ers with an offensive minded HC expecting nothing but excellence out of his QBs. To top it off, he got hurt early in the season and struggled to get healthy. So yeah, he got a raw deal, but I'm willing to bet the QB he is now is not remotely the QB the 49ers kicked to the curb so early in his career.
  18. Bryce can't throw 40 yards down field. Lance has a connon and could throw Bryce 40 yards down the field.
  19. Hey @Captain Morgan, got a draft crush yet? Mine is Mendoza. Yes, I know it's not happening, but his arse better not being wearing gold and black next year. That would be like pouring lemon juice, vinegar, Pepper 'X' oil and salt into an infected paper cut wound.
  20. To sweeten the deal have language about an open competition. As a FA, he could sign just about anywhere as a pure backup or just stay in SoCal backing up Herbert. I bet he's chomping at the bit a get a shot at starting again. I highly doubt he gets an undisputed QB1 gig anywhere, that's the reason I would put verbiage about an open QB1 competition to brush aside any purely backup deals and that would put us at the head of the line.
  21. Huh? Where are you getting your info, lol? I guess the places you are looking still has folks like Arch, Moore, Sellers, Mateer, etc...all going Pro this spring. Nothing is certain yet as it is still early, but most, if not all the underclassmen have been leaning heavily to going back to school from multiple sources.
  22. Photoshopped his head onto a Panthers uniform.
