  1. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Caleb-Lomu-OL-Utah Lomu is about 305 taken the average weights I've seen him listed at. He probably needs to get to about 315. I'm not worried about his age; more mature in my book. This whole thing about being a year or two older than the average draftee matters none to me. His pass blocking is top notch. That's what you want from your blindside tackle. Run blocking can be refined more easily than vise-versa. Pass protection has a lot more nuances and technique to get correct to be efficient over run blocking. My thought is if Ickey can make it back, great, but I'm not betting the future of the team on it since LT is arguably the second most important position on a football team besides QB. Also, I want to draft our LT this year to get a season under his belt so he can protect our rookie QB in '27.
  2. Young LT with lots of upside, wirey Edge guy, proven center, feisty corner, stout IDL, ball-hawking safety, sideline-to-sideline LB, productive all-purpose RB, off-ball tackling machine LB and slot WR that's a mismatch threat. I'd be elated with that draft!
  3. He's got the frame to add weight. It's easier to get a guy to add 10-15 pounds than tell a big guy to go on a diet.
  4. Chef's kiss! Hey Dan, Give me a call. I can walk you through this, lol!
  5. This is what I'm talking about...take out Ty Simpson. *Mesidor EDGE Miami is #27.
  6. Even though it's not a reach at #19 and there are positions available we need, I'm not necessarily swooning over the guys in this range. It's sort of a 'void' area to me. That being said, I would entertain a trade back. Why? A few guys I think could help the team are a little further back in round 1 and we shouldn't reach. I really like a lot of players with second and early third round grades right now. We only have one pick each in both rounds. Picking up an extra pick on day 2 would be huge and still get a guy we need without reaching in round 1.
  7. See how the board falls because we still need help just about everywhere. The only positions we don't take on day one and two are: QB, RB and TE (STs, obviously). That's it folks. Every other position on the roster could use an upgrade early in the draft. WR-(s), IOL, OT, DT, DE, OLB, ILB, CB and safety. We shouldn't have to reach for anything.
  8. They are obviously waiting on for someone o the Seahawks or Patriots staff. If they wanted Evero, it would be a done deal already. The only silver lining is if the guy they are waiting for turns them down. In that instance I do think Evero is their backup plan.
  9. Navy RB/WR Eli Heidenreich (East), Apparently this dude is CMC-lite. I've seen several people around the web comment about him crushing the Shrine practices. We do need a slot.
  10. Exactly my point. It's still a metric that gets scouts/coaches/brass all giddy. If Styles has plus measurements (he does) and crushes the drills, he might not even last to Dallas at #12.
  11. He'll be top a 15 guy, if not top 10 before the draft. I think he will test through the roof. RAS people will go crazy.
  12. I can't see us taking another WR in the first round. Not to mention Tyson should already be gone. My understanding is if it weren't for injury concerns, he's be WR1.
  13. I still call BS on Bryce being 5'10". He's north of 5'8" but under 5'10". He my be 200 pounds now (maybe), but when he got here was 185 soaking wet.
  14. I hope the Raiders doesn't tank Mendoza's career. The dude has serious promise, but he can only do so much for as a dumpster fire organization with their massive limitations.
  15. I just came across this. I'm telling y'all Dallas has an monster boner for this guy. NO WAY he lasts until #19. It's silly to keep mocking him to the Panthers unless you have a trade ahead of the Cowgirls.
  16. Okay, the way I understand the trade according to one article I read is the 7th got flipped to a 5th. so we gained a 5th and lost our 7th. Is that correct?
  17. do we have pick #235 or not? Some sites have us with it and some have the Vikings. I know it was part of the Thielen trade, but I thought due to playing time, we got it back.
  18. I'm consistently mocking OT, ILB, Edge, CB, and WR-(s). Either a S or second Edge/ILB regularly. I'm starting to a C consistently to the mix now. Depending on who is left at #19, I wouldn't mind moving back to get a another late 3rd or 4th rounder.
  19. Ian Thomas looked promising his rookie season, too. At this point I want a FA TE. We have bigger fish to fry in the draft than taking a stab a another project TE, which isn't even a major component in this offense.
  20. He's basically Thomas Davis, but bigger. But yeah, he's closer to Luvu than Kuechly. I would say he would be better as a OLB. It won't matter because Dallas is zeroing in on him to replace Parsons. Unless he gets injured or tests out horribly, he ain't lasting to #19. I've stopped mocking him because it's fool's gold to think we can land him at our draft slot.
  21. Yup and it will be egg all over Tepper's face knowing a guy he kicked to the curb won a Super Bowl. Go Sam!
  22. That's not a generality, that's this draft in particular. I would like to draft a second or third round center, I just feel this isn't the one to do it. Mayes was 5th rounder and some are acting like he's too valuable to lose. We have two 5th rounders this daft, take one there if the right guy is available. Edge, LB,S, CB, WR(S) are much bigger concerns with the talent in this draft to fill an immediate need.
